BLOOD BENDER KATARA🩸Probably the darkest episode of this series was Katara learning how to be a blood bender and I’m kind of surprised Nickelodeon kept it for being a kids show 😂 Still a pretty badass moment for her tho and if she mastered it, I think she would’ve been a force that even the fire nation would’ve feared. Anyway, I did this sketch of her to match the Zuko one I did. I also love these two (Zutara for life—sorry Aang. Though Zuko and Mai are also a cannon power couple).

So halfway through coloring this, I realized that Sokka and Katara are only a year apart, so toddler Sokka wouldn't hold newborn Katara in canon, so uhhhhh I call this piece "my spectacular au where Sokka is a little older because I'm a fake fan and cant remember the gaangs ages" lmao.

there are so many amazing and powerful benders in atla but what i love about zuko is that whether or not he can use his bending in that moment has zero (0) bearing on how much he’s going to absolutely kick your ass. no bending? that’s fine - he’s got swords. no swords or bending? that’s fine - he’s literally just going to beat you up. if you’re REALLY unlucky then you get all three. as a treat.
