“Does that mean you’ll let her speak badly about me now because we’re no longer friends?” Maia asked, raising an eyebrow in amusement. “I bet she does have some nice things to say about me, I’m flattered really.” When had Maia gotten so cold? Probably when all the bullshit became too much. “Yeah...you’re right, makes a lot of sense. When we were friends you had no sex life, I never needed to care then.”
“Look, I never let her talk badly about you when we were still friends and I’m not going to let you do the same with Reagan.” He rolled his eyes, “Yeah well apparently you don’t care about me either so I guess that makes sense.”

Maia pulled the most childish face she could muster in his direction before tapping her pen against her temple in thought. “Don’t you have a thing for robots?” She snapped back before frowning. “I apologize for snapping but I am not a robot. I don’t care about your sex life, especially not with Reagan. That story is old, I’m not even surprised it was bound to happen sooner or later.”
“Probably some ring she bought while she was shopping.” He cleared his throat as he sat up. “It doesn’t matter, he still disappeared.” He sighed, “Yeah, they’re no longer a thing. “I don’t care about these sort of things,” he said mockingly. “When did you turn into such robot, Maia?”

“Then what does she wear on her finger all of the time?” Maia asked before rolling her eyes. “And I’m not surprised that Dash left but I believe he had a good reason for leaving, it’s just unfortunate that he was in a relationship when he decided to abandon ship.” Even now she still preferred to look at the goodness in Dash even if there were times where she hated him. “So I assume that Dash and Reagan are no longer a thing? What a shame. You don’t have to explain yourself to me, I don’t care about these sort of things.”
Aaron sighed as she asked him questions. “Dash left, Maia. I mean have you seen him around? He’s gone. And he never gave her a promise ring,” he commented with a shrug. “Reagan would never cheat on someone, and I wouldn’t be involved in that type of thing, not that I have to explain it for you.”

“I don’t like the way you’re saying that,” she mumbled, looking up at him so she could properly have a look at his face. “Wait a minute....you two,” Maia pulled a face of disgust. “I mean...cool or whatever but....Dash? The promise ring that she wears proudly on her finger...what happened to all of that?” Had Dash found himself a cheater? Maia had to admit she felt a little sorry for him but he did deserve it too.
Aaron shrugged as he took a sip of his coffee, not really making eye contact with her. “I mean life is just not bad right now.” He smiled softly as he thought about the past weekend, “But uh, if you must know, Reagan and I…well we’re back on really good terms now.”

Maia shook her head. “You’re not disturbing me,” she assured the other as she looked down at her watch. “I’ve still got some time before my next lecture.” Resting her head against her other hand, she allowed her hair to spill over her shoulder as she continued to scribble away some notes. “Why are you happy? I mean...it’s a good thing that you’re being optimistic. But why?”
He hadn’t expected Maia to comment even though he had noticed she was in the cafe. “Oh uh, yeah, I guess he did.” Aaron cleared his throat and took a few sips of his coffee. “Sorry if I was talking too loud, didn’t mean to interrupt your work.”

Maia glanced up from her notebook when she heard a familiar voice. “All the time,” she mumbled before returning her gaze to the various books surrounding her. “Dante did say that the 9th level of Hell was the coldest,” Maia muttered, finding herself distracted.
“Do you ever just..wake up and know it’s going to be a great day?” Aaron smiled as he sat at a table at Java Jolt, talking to someone at the next table. “It’s like..it’s cold as hell outside but my god does it feel like the sun is shining.”

“Thanks,” she mumbled and took the tissue from him before pressing it against her nose. “I’m fine, a little dazed. I didn’t know that there was a wall in front of me because if I did then I wouldn’t have crashed into said wall and wouldn’t have a slightly bruised nose,” Maia rambled. “I probably looked very badass walking into the wall there.”
“Are you okay?” Noah asked quickly, moving over to Maia when he saw her bleeding nose. “Here, I think I have tissues in my bag somewhere.” he said, slinging his backpack off and digging around for the little individual packs he had tossed in with his books a couple of weeks ago. After a moment, he found one and opened the pack, pulling out some tissues to hand to her.

“Eh, it’s not so bad,” she shrugged before laughing at herself. Wiping her nose, Maia pulled a face of disgust at the blood. “That’s disgusting but yeah...some ice would be good. I really need to watch where I’m going because that’s embarrassing.”
[Watched the girl walk into the wall, and rushed up to her]. Maia, are you alright? That looks like it really hurt. Do you want to get ice or something to put on your nose?

You carry the heavens in you eyes like one of those old Greek tragedies. And I’d call you Atlas, but he wasn’t given a choice to hold the stars. You were.

Walking while reading a book, Maia was too busy focused on her textbook to even realize the wall in front of her. Unfortunately she only realized when she felt her face collide with the side of the building. “What the wack!?” The brunette exclaimed, her hand going to her nose that was most likely bleeding. “This is not a first.”

Walking away from the counter with a coffee in her hand, Maia looked around for a place to sit. She had been staying away from coffee lately, her classes has been getting busier which meant that she had been in her room for a longer time than usual. Being a hermit wasn’t so bad at all and she actually enjoyed it. But she needed some coffee to keep her going and treat herself with a caffeine reward. Spotting Evan, her smile widened at her friend. “Thank you,” she sat down in the seat opposite him and took out a textbook. “It’s very busy today.”
Evan was a bit stressed. Classes had been picking up a lot more lately and, even though he felt he was more than able to handle it, that didn’t change the amount of stress he felt from it. He was currently sitting in the Java Jolt and working on one of his assignments when he just so happened to glance up and spot someone looking around desperately for a seat in the busy place. “Hey! If you need a place to sit, you can sit here,” he spoke up after a pause, gesturing towards the chair across from him and offering a small smile.
