This is a photo journalistic story created by Khaled Elbarky in 2014 in kafr el sheikh that aided me in the creative direction of my project since I wanted to do something about peoples home this documentary was an insight on how people live in Al gesr it made me think of my story not only as the inside of the houses but also the outside , the roof and even the view outside the windows  which I took into consideration while doing my project

Other ideas i had
I wanted to take the same photo of different pedestrian bridges because they've always intrigued me here in egypt where they are used by some as a shop while others are completely deserted where people just go under. Also some are made in different societies ie. Cairo festival city and shobra which are completely different and with different designs. There are also ones that got redesigned (badly) for car bridges to go through. Would be an interesting project to do in summer. I wanted to make a contrast between how posh people live and how people in poorer areas live with a photo cut in half of each Wanted to document (though difficult in egypt right now) sub way stations the new one in masr el gedida in respect to older subways and how people are jam packed in on while the other is almost completely empty

Description
My photography project first started as any normal project with an idea, the idea of people who i see every day around me in the streets of Egypt as maids, guard, car driver, and street sellers. When i started this project it thought i had an idea of how they lived, which was a modest clean place maybe not the biggest thing in the world for four members to live in but neat and with smart and interesting ways for furniture placement. Boy was i wrong. Not only was the house smaller than i ever expected, it wasn't neat as i thought. After seeing those homes and seeing how these people lived, my perspectives changed and so did my project. After asking myself " what would you feel if someone came and took pictures of my house?" The project became clearer to me it changed from just another photojournalistic project into something more personal. It changed to a journey of not just a camera floating to those people's homes but a person (me) that experienced how kind and light-hearted they were, from letting me into their homes just to take photos to children's sparkle in their eyes playing with my camera it was an experience to be had for it to be understood.
