It is common for children to work or assist in their villages – these children look forward to participating in the Eco-Organic Agriculture program, sponsored by Mahila Partnership, in which they will learn organic farming and gardening, seed saving, and a variety of knowledge surrounding their nutrition and food availability.

Ram, an up-and-coming organization leader with our partner Eco-Organic, Nepal, knows the struggle of orphaned children. Two of his sisters are adopted orphans. Since their integration into his family, they’ve attended school, matured many years, and are now working to become leaders in public service in their village. We want the same for these orphans – and we can do it with your contribution.

Though it wasn't Mothers Day in Nepal, we honor the women of the world for creating & caring for the future. The mothers shown here are caring for the orphans for which we are fundraising this month. They have opened their homes to 10 motherless children and are providing as best their can - but they need our help. These children are in the Tailor caste – untouchable by higher castes. Though the caste system is technically illegal, these children still face discrimination and hardship beyond their orphan circumstance. This is where half of the orphans live. Homes have still not been fully repaired since the earthquake, and the severe poverty and lack of public assistance has left the whole village vulnerable to crumble. Click the link in our bio to contribute to a positive future for these orphans.

We’ve learned of 10 orphans in the communities we serve in Nepal who are desperately in need of assistance. They previously received stipends of rice to the two families housing them, but they are no longer receiving those contributions. Their homes have been damaged since the earthquake so the foster families’ funds are split between feeding the young children and ensuring they have a safe place to live. Updates from Haiti: Our women of the artisanat Leomene, a cleaner, and Guilande, an ironer, are both employees at the artisanat.
