Taking care of the disabled and injured is human nature actually. We have evidence of our ancestors caring for folks with disabilities. We're a cooperative species that takes care of their own. If our starving, weary, and hunted ancestors could care for the disabled members of their tribe, in this era of modern medicine and abundant resources we absolutely can afford to do the same.

the word âwomanâ was bad to describe us, so people said âfemaleâ. the word âfemaleâ was bad so people said âafabâ. the word âafabâ is now bad too (âtalking about afab experiences is transmisogynisticâ), and you apparently shouldnât talk about the experiences of âpeople with vaginasâ only, either.Â
discussing âradical feminismâ was bad, so people said âfeminismâ, but that was bad, too, so people just talked about âmisogynyâ, but that was a âterfâ dogwhistle, so people talked about âgendered socializationâ but thatâs a transmisogynistic discussion framework, apparently. So where do you go next?
Itâs not that the words were offensive, itâs that the power they gave to women to exclusively discuss ourselves and our problems effectively and accurately was. Itâs a silencing tactic. We could call ourselves anything as a sex class and itâd still be offensive that we found solidarity. You canât talk about, find community with, or protect women if acknowledging sex is banned, and you canât talk about womenâs issues if acknowledging sexism is banned.Â

the thing that gets me the most about ableism against pdâs is that ppl will be like âthese disorders make you an ASSHOLE!!!!â and then turn around and pretend that other disorders canât and donât make you act shitty.
depression and anxiety can make you irritable and snappy. they can cause you to refuse to listen to people and to be distant and withdrawn. they can cause you to seem angry, bitchy, rude, uncaring, etc.
ptsd causes an array of difficulties in forming meaningful relationships. it pretty much shakes up your entire worldview and sense of self a lot of the time. ptsd can cause you to get angry often. it can cause you to yell and scream. it can cause you to withdraw from others, run away, or cut them out. it can cause general changes in demeanor and more cynical worldviews. it can make you seem grouchy, negative, explosive, impolite, difficult, needy, controlling, etc.
and yet when people with personality disorders have symptoms of that nature, suddenly we are irredeemable monsters. when itâs npd, bpd, hpd, or aspd instead of ptsd or depression and anxiety, people suddenly and magically lose the ability to be understanding.
mental illness is an explanation, not an excuse. i firmly believe that. hurting others is never justified simply because you have any disorder.
but if you can be patient with people who have depression, anxiety, ptsd, ocd, or any other LESS stigmatized mental illness, you can be patient with us.

Being angry at me won't work because I have this disease that says "if someone is angry at me then I am Right and Correct its proof that I am doing MY OWN PATH and I am TRUTHFUL". Disgust is praise for me and praise is boring. Typa shit

âIn the new wave of transgenderism, gender becomes biology. Instead of recognizing that gender is a social and political construct, trans advocates claim it is a personal issue of self-identification by declaration, with or without hormonal treatment and/or surgical interventionâa biological toggle switch to turn on and off at will.
In other words, it is a self-assessment of oneâs stereotypical degree of masculinity or femininity and is mistakenly confused with biological sex. This confusion stems from a cultural inability to understand the wide distribution of personalities and preferences within the sexes and a possible overlap between them.â
From the âNeutralâ Body to the Postmodern Cyborg, Silvia Guerini
