Here's a castle home that is haunted, and the ghost has a name- Clara. The 1909 home in Kansas City, MO has 6bd, 4ba, 4,817sqft & was built using 28" stone blocks. It's been reduced $25k to $825k and has quite a history- it went from being a brothel to a church, then In 1992, the pews were sold and it became The Writer's Place, a non-profit literary organization.

This is Betsy, who worked for a publisher on the 3rd fl. She said, "Probably 10 times a year, something huge happens that I cannot explain.'" In 2001, employees said that the building was haunted, noting footsteps on the stairs, perfume smells, and phones that cut off daily at 3:45 p.m. At a 2000 seance at the Writers Place, a psychic said there is a specter named Clara, a ghostly woman of the night.

The current owner kept the original posters that were displayed outside the Writer's Guild. Since he's been here, about 75 people came looking for the Writer's Guild.

He liked that the main floor was open, and went about remodeling it with high end finishes.

When he purchased the house, the kitchen was in the basement, so he put this one in. It looks like there was a fireplace behind the stove.

The powder room was renovated. Very nice sink and tile.

The house has several levels and a basement. He said that his children loved running around and it kept them amused during the winter mos.

There's a little library on this level.

A lovely vintage/modern bath up here.

The bedrooms are all very large.

The primary bedroom is on the 3rd level.

And, has access to the wall-walk behind the parapet.

It has 2 walk-in closets outside the huge ensuite.

Brand new bath.

Going up to the highest level.

There are 3 more finished rooms.

This one is adorable, in the turret.

And, here we are up on the turret.

The current owner also completely redid the basement.

There's a large rec room and a 3pc bath down here.

The home is on a 0.29 acre lot.

So the government just defunded PBS and NPR which is fucked. That being said, the public can cover the damage if we orginize and donate.

Only about $1.60 of tax dollars per US citizen per year are spent on the public broadcasting budget. NPR and PBS offer beong able to make small monthly donations, some being 7$ per month or lower if you want.

If you want to donate 1.60$ per month to your local station, you can multiply how much funding they get from you by 12. If you do their monthly donation of $7 per month, your donation can equal the tax dollars of 54 people spent on public broadcasting per year.
