PETSM@RT M@STERPOST
So, I do not work at petsm@rt but Ive been associated with multiple Petsm@rt stores over the years and this is one of my favorite stores to lift from. SECURITY/LP No stores that I have been associated with have any measures to deter theft. There is no in store or outsourced LP that I am aware of. Certainly none in store. Employees do not have any LP training. The only thing I have witnessed is an employee telling a manager that she sees the same guy (one that was currently walking the isles) come in with shoe boxes and leave without paying and thinks he is stealing. Nothing was done and the manager said to let her know the next time he comes in. Other than that, employees are not trained to keep an eye out for theft. The majority of stores will not have any cameras or towers. This is fairly common for most stores. I have been to very high shrink stores that have installed cameras but inly one or two and are almost always pointint to the collars/leashes isle. These cameras are usually small but not hidden by any means. Just look. All stores have speakers where music is played - these are not cameras in any of the stores I have been associated with but as always, proceed with caution. Stores with high shrink will sometimes tag their leashes and collars. Tagging is done pretty carelessly and some merch is often skipped. You should be able to find the product you want that is not tagged. The tags I have seen can easily be removed with a magnet or stack of magnets. I have never come across anything source tagged. CONCEALING/METHODS Because most stores do not have cameras or very few, blind spots are easy to find. Isles are high and traffic is usually low. Just go to an isle with nobody in it and conceal there - be quick! Dog food isles are always good places. Its always nice to have a question in mind if you are caught hanging around the food isles with no merchandise. "Im looking for a high quality puppy food, what would you recommend" "What do you think about Royal Canin food for a golden retriever" whatever. Bathrooms are usually placed at the back of a store. They are often hidden and unattended however staff breakrooms are often in the same area. You can always conceal and/or detag in the bathrooms but be cautious of employees going in or out of the breakroom. If your spending too much time on the floor and feel you are getting a big sus you can always have an out with some medical question which would have to be answered by a vet (some stores have a pet hospital in store). You can easily make your way to the suppliment isle and find a calming medication or something and ask if it is okay for a puppy. They will ask you the age of the puppy l - say 3 or 4 months. They will tell you not to give it to a puppy that young and theres your out. Leave without buying anything, no suspicion. BULLET POINTS -No LP in store and employees are not trained to deter theft -Most stores do not have cameras, towers, or tags. -High shrink stores may have a couple cameras, none hidden, usually pointing toward collars/leashes which may be tagged. -Any tags can be removed with a magnet. -Empty isles are best for concealing -Bathrooms are okay but watch out for the breakroom nearby -Always have an out!! Have SPECIFIC questions ready just in case. *USE THESE TIPS AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION!* I have been associated with multiple stores across the country but your store can always differ from the ones in my experience. And as always... Keep it classy, bitches.

strategies from a specialist **SUBMISSION**
posting this in case you didn’t already see it
Recently discovering this visible offshoot of the ‘lifting’ community, I wanted to offer some advice. First of all I strongly advocate anyone ‘fighting’ capitalistic society and especially in the long history of ‘magicians’ making things disappear. These types of communities have been documented since the 1500’s and its interesting to see how the internet can aid them in todays context. I am 49 years old and have had a tumultuous profession on both sides of these magic tricks. What started as a flirtatious teasing of the law with my best friend from highschool became and long and electric period of stings in the 80’s. Starting with bra’s and lipstick to Gucci bags and Lamborghini’s and everything in between. Eventually we were caught. I have only been released from prison in the last five years. And I tell you, I still have it in me. But Im not here to give you my biography, I want to offer some tips that i’ve learned from recently being back in the magic show. One thing that hasn’t changed is, its always best to have someone on the inside. From Best Buy to Barney’s, the sales clerk can be your ticket. These people are the source of all the information you need. Get to know them, one is all it takes. I used to date a private investigator in NYC, he taught me a lot. But with the internet, we can all be our own P.I.’s. Finding the witty gay guy that works at H&M on facebook or instagram is one thing but finding the loss prevention representative or LP manager is another. Once you get to know a store, I mean really get to know her, she can be all yours. Depending on the heist and the profits will usually determines my dedication. Employee scheduling, inventory estimates, security measures, job listings for LP’s to see when the store is vulnerable, how is the stock exchange treating that company this month, this year, even knowing the manager lunch breaks can give you the perfect opportunity in making that elephant disappear. It looks like a lot of you get hot by just fingering lip gloss, which I adore, so I don’t want to impede if walking the highline is not for you. But even so I hope I can help in any form of lawful ;) larceny…
A lot of things have changed since the 80’s of course. I can no longer walk into Tiffany’s or Chanel and do what I used to but some things never change, Confidence and Direction. Confidence from a perfectly fitting attire and Direction from a well educated plan. There is a small society of professional thieves in my city, but lets not call them that. Magicians are all around us and the most important thing is that you don’t see them. Stealth is a charm that can be acquired but the naturals know who they are. High level stealth is a custom modified Givenchy tote and silent stilettos to accommodate a new $25 dollar lipstick through the slip in the back of the bag. A look that is impossible to accuse of such small crimes. Or how to blend with the masses but look dignified and unique. An air of conviction that tells people your white magicians gloves have never been dirtied with theft. This all does take a lot practice, to commit to something that our society believes to be shameful, unlawful or dirty. So the need to educate yourselves on capitalism, consumerism, corporate dominance and abuse of power, marxism, philosophy, ideologies, politics, etc to empower yourselves is crucial to realizing this exercise of deceiving the law is not against a healthy moral. And in this knowledge you will be able to build your confidence…to master the illusion. Or you can continue to lift panties for that quick cheap high. And in that case, any brand of tote bag is helpful to tailor to your needs. Try cutting a slit in the back of a Trader Joe’s bag and sewing a flap on the inside so nothing will come back out. This is a more discreet way of getting small products into your bag without the obvious motion of reaching over the top. This can also work in an purse with the right needle work to make it discreet. This is how me and my girlfriend began, taking two lipsticks at once sliding one into the slit of the purse and then putting the other one back in place. We came to understand the obviousness of some movements, motioning quickly into a bag or pocket, the bag clenched tight to the body, stiff shoulders… you must avoid this at all costs as these rigid human behavoirs among so many others trigger alarms in sales clerks, security guards etc. Becoming natural, care free and confident can make a blatant action of thievery look as if it was your mascara in the first place. I have stolen thousand dollar pieces while the sales representative was staring me right in my eyes, smiling. Always smile back.
And one characteristic of a good magician, is they never tell their secrets and they never flash their loots. But I find this community very endearing and I want to help. Another good characteristic is they always give back, in someway or another.
if you’d like to know more tips, more realistic ones to target your needs or full blown operations I am ready to help. If not, its nice to know what the kids are up to ; )

Maybe a Tip? Take it with a grain of salt, it's just my point of view.
TAGGING
I worked in retail, three clothing stores, and at each and every one, we were often asked to be on the floor and tag merchandise there while assisting the customers. At stores with pushy sales associates and not too large, not too many employees, we would also detag stuff ON THE FLOOR. I can’t tell you how many times I was told “tags in pockets? Double tagged? STOLEN. DON’T ASSUME OTHERWISE.” And yet, I would be working and drop one part of the tag (just one) on the floor and it would get lost. We’d sometimes find them and just throw them back in their bins for later tagging. My point is this: employees don’t drop sealed tags, ON THEIR OWN, on the fucking floor. We just don’t. Ever. But drop a piece to the tag? Yes. Sometimes, we do. If your store doesn’t have cameras or has inattentive sales associates, if you can do so on camera without being suspicious, walk around with the rest of your hangers like you’re still looking. Drop in two solitary areas away from sight one part vs two parts. If a sales associate sees a part of the tag missing, and can’t find the other part nearby, they’ll assume it was THEIR fault. I dropped this piece while tagging on the floor! I dropped it while bringing the bins of sensors and tags *the part that goes off, and separately the part that locks it to the clothing, kept together* while bringing it to the back, OR TRAVELING AROUND THE STORE WITH IT AND EYEING CUSTOMERS. At every store I worked at, even fucking Lacoste, that merchandise as well as the detagger were kept duplicates of on the floor for “tasks.” If you double tag an item, they’ll go check their cameras. They’ll know someone stole. If they see a closed tag on the floor, someone stole. A sales associate would never do that. If they find both parts to a tag in a pocket, someone stole. They know that. They will EVALUATE WHO IT WAS. If I saw one part on the floor, many times it happened, “Oh, silly us. Dropped it while tasking.” At the very least, there is less conclusion than those items thrown TOGETHER. Get rid of tags in the most subtle and accidental way possible. Please don’t double tag or put tags in pockets. Sales associates will notice. Either way, you take a risk. Not sure if this helps anyone, but this is how it was for me. I once found a piece and told my manager one of us might have dropped it, and she just said “happens all the time. Put it back in the bin.”

New (ish) Method for Shoes
Tried a new method for DSW or other shoe place with a “help yourself” type layout - this is a version of the trade your shitty shoes out for new shoes method. I guess its not really a new method, but more so an in depth real life example if you will... whatever.
So I walked in… damn, there are a few cameras, nothing crazy but FILLED with SAs. Like, approached multiple times - not sus, just attentive - Anyway, walked around trying to find some sandals to replace the ones my puppy DESTROYED recently. Found a few, tried them on and found the ones I wanted. Bingo! So, I tried them on and just put my old shoes in the box. I continued to walk around - mostly to see if there were any others I liked more - all the while holding the box with my shit shoes in the box and the new pretty shoes on my feet. By walking around with the box, I could see if any of the super attentive SAs would sus me out and I could make the excuse “oh, I just wanted to walk around a bit to test these out before I bought them” or whatever. By the time I got finnished browsing, just went back to where the box was supposed to go, slipped it in the middle of the stack and walked my merry ass out of there. Wanted the coach sandals but they were tagged and Im not confident detagging on the floor.
That was long for a simple trick. My bad.
Keep it classy, bitches.
