Sorry this took so long!!! I don't think of Rurik that often, so I kinda don't remember most of my stuff for him 😭 very sorry about that

Now for our baby girl RURIK!!!! And sorry all these are long!!! I wanted to edit them to make them short!! But I think I've kept you waiting long enough 😋!!!

•Rurik got his love for cooking from his fatherly figure!! (Who i forgot the name of, so I'll call him Frank) as we know, Rurik struggled with surviving due to lack of food, or resources/knowledge of how to make his own food...Frank would show Rurik how to make his own food even if he was missing an ingredient or missing a tool, this inspired Rurik to try out his own stuff, and he soon found a love and passion for cooking. At first Rurik insisted he didn't like cooking (his dad probably said something like "kitchen is for women/gays") something considered feminine basically, and he didn't wanna look like a "wuss" especially Infront of other people, so it took him awhile to gain some confidence

On that note-

•He has and will eat "expired" food, as in the packaging could say the expiration date was something like September 19th, but Rurik would consider it good for consumption till the texture was weird, or taste being off, even then... He might make an exemption...🧍‍♂️, he HATES wasting food on all accounts so he'll refuse to throw it unless it's REALLY bad, Dante hates this by the way, he considers it unhealthy and dumb because he makes WELL enough money to buy more food, but still, throwing away too much food is kinda- uhhh stressful(?) to Rurik... Rurik won't give Dante the "expired" food, he eats it personally, he knows Dante thinks it's weird and gross, but old habits die hard this habit isn't going down without some therapy

•Rurik likes to catfish people for fun, because money 😈 he'll do it to the same person a couple of times or will pretend to be multiple at a time to get some sad pervs money!!! Though he only does it on occasion... It's very time and energy consuming being multiple people, he really only does this if he desperately needs more money, Dante gives him an allowance but Rurik being... Rurik-... Spends it so fast sometimes lolol

•Rurik still has some internalized homophobia... Like he kinda hates that he only likes guys, he feels his life would be easier if he was straight, or AT LEAST bi-. I know that in Lassers cannon she said Rurik beded some women due to his hypersexuality (I guess him getting desperate (?)), but to me I see it more like- he was trying to force it... Thinking if he did it enough, he would like it and magically like women!!! Ended up only hurting himself in the end though :(

•Hes HELLA warm... Like almost unbearably warm... Dante doesn't like to cuddle as much on hot days, or in bed/on the sofa because it gets TOO HOT, he feels like he'll die of heat exhaustion!!!/playing. Rurik's not the biggest fan of this trait because that means cuddles have to be cut short sometimes 😔 but during the winter it's the BEST!!!! Dante loves his personal heater, and Rurik loves the attention. A blessing and a curse

How did Rurik and lotus become friends in ur headcanons???

The same way they did in cannon!! Lotus gave Rurik food!!!

But to give it more deeetailllll

Rurik would ask Lotus for unfinished foods, like a bag of chips, fries, a whole burger that went untouched

Lotus was one of the few that Rurik would ask for food from, for a couple reason

1. Lotus was far from most of the kids, so not as many people would see him asking for food

2. Lotus didn't talk, and was thought to be mute or just a loser with no friends, so Rurik believed he wouldn't say anything

3. Lotus wouldn't really touch his food, only ever nibbled on it, or would just drink the juice that came with it

So Lotus was the safest and best option

With time Rurik started to ask for more favors, like to watch over his bag while he went to do something, or hide/hold something for him, so when he was searched he wasn't caught with anything, or to support him in one of his excuses like-

"No I couldn't have done that!! Because I was with my friend!! We were at bla bla bla!!!" And Lotus would just agree to it, because he wasn't exactly losing anything, in return Rurik would steal him something, it was different every time, such as money, alcohol, cigarettes, anything he considered a good trade

On rare occasions, Rurik would rant about his life, and his struggles with how things are, how stupid school was and how he just wanted out of it all (he believed Lotus was mute, so he never expected a response, just an ear to listen to him)

Till one day (when Lotus was comfortable enough) he finally spoke

Conversation went something like this-

R- "it's just all so stupid and pointless!! I don't know what to do anymore... what am I supposed to do..."

L- "yea, I know how you feel, I jus-"

R- "YOU CAN TALK????"

When Lotus started speaking Rurik started inviting him to his scandalous deeds, burglaries, and stuff like that ^^

And they kinda just progressed like that :3

OMG I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD GET A ASK LIKE THIS!!!!

ummm I'll put some points down that you may ask more on, or just ponder on!! (Because I don't wanna ramble)

• Lotus went to an alternative school because he had some behavior issues from past trauma, and would often threaten to harm others such as teachers and classmates, so he wasn't allowed to attend to normal schools

• He was forced into therapy for the threatening thing too (although he slowly began to calm down, his anger never vanished)

• He was an outcast, he never really talks (unless he's yelling or picking a fight) so many thought bad of him, and if not that, then they thought he was mute because he would never respond to people, but would acknowledge them

• Lotus would run away from his foster parents most of the time, or act out to the point that they would give up on him

• Lotus would overwork himself as some coping mechanism, and teachers and therapists (at the time) believed this was good for him, because it would distract him from his negative thoughts (didn't really work, he still struggles with overworking himself as a adult)

• Rurik and Lotus have known each other for years before actually dating or even befriending each other, but they only knew each other as "a friend of a friend" so they never talked to each other much, but we're often in the same group of people

• Lotus doesn't like his real name because he's a Jr. (His name is actually Lorenzo)

• Got his name from his mama bc she would call him her little lotus flower (she believed he was the start of a better future for herself)

• Insecure about his scars, he hates being asked where they came from, he'll get defensive if you try to push the subject too hard

Another thing so nobody gets confused, Reaper and Geno aren't his parents in the human au, so if they seem "out of character" it's because it's not them lols
