my opinion on Lover

So, where do I even start. I am awful at theories, so there won’t be many. But honestly, this song is an anthem of love. Which if you have been paying attention, is what some called You Need To Calm Down. They are both songs about love, in a way, at least, but yet they are so different. One is telling people to shut up, love is love and you can’t change that. The other is about how much she loves Joe, which is obviously a lot.

But one line reminded me of another title track, a particular color.

losing him was blue like I’d never known -Red

my heart’s been borrowed and yours has been blue -Lover

again, I am very bad with theories, so I don’t know what or if this means anything. But either way, it was a nice reminder of our last title track.

Despite this being called my opinion on Lover, I haven’t even said my opinion yet. I listened to it, and immediately fell in love. There is no other way to put it, it is an amazing song. There are so many different feelings it draws out, and despite having to wait a week for the video, it will be worth it

A TS7 Theory

I’m going to preface this saying a few things. One, I don’t know what this means. I don’t know where this leads, it is just a bunch of thoughts I strung together. I’m not 100% sure this is even an original idea, but I know I haven’t seen it anywhere.

Let’s start at the beginning, shall we? Everyone has their own opinions on what albums and songs have easter eggs of their own, but I’m here to tell you it is Red. Why, you ask? Well I’m here to tell you that.

In Everything Has Changed, Taylor says, “And all my walls stood tall, painted blue,” in reference to the blue background or WALLpaper of the ME! cover art. Different to some of the theories out there, this leaves a lot of wiggle room for Tay, seeing how blue is a very easy to use color.

In the same song, Taylor also says, “and all I feel in my stomach are butterflies, the beautiful kind,” and how does the ME! music video start? I think you can answer that one for yourself.

In The Lucky One, the opening line is, “New to town with a made up name in the Angel city, chasing fortune and fame,” we all know angels have a significance of some sort in TS7, the only question is, where do they play into Taylor’s master puzzle? That, is the only question in this blog I can’t answer, today, at least.

So like I said in the beginning, I’m not really sure what this means. But it is something, and I wanted to participate in the theories. And in conclusion, I’ll leave you with this

THE CHRISTMAS TREE WAS A HINT BECAUSE HER FIRST HOME, HER CHILDHOOD HOME, WAS ON A CHRISTMAS TREE FARM.

THEY ARE IN LONDON IN THE MUSIC VIDEO BECAUSE THATS WHERE SHE AND JOE ARE GETTING/ALREADY GOT A NEW HOME TOGETHER.

THERES A BRICK ROAD IN THE MUSIC VIDEO. FOLLOW THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD. “THERES NO PLACE LIKE HOME.”

LAST YEAR ON JULY 13TH SHE POSTED THAT PHOTO WITH THE CAPTION “TAKE ME HOME 💗” AND THERE IS A STAMP ON JULY 13TH IN THE CALENDAR JUST LIKE WE WERE RIGHT ABOUT THE OTHER STAMP.

EDIT: AS SOME LOVELY PEOPLE HAVE POINTED OUT: ON GMA SHE DID A RANDOM TOUR OF THINGS AROUND NASHVILLE AKA HER HOME.

THE BUTTERFLY MURAL TOOK PLACE IN NASHVILLE AS WELL, WHEN IT COULDVE BEEN LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE.

SHE REFERRED TO REPUBLIC AS HER NEW HOME IN MUSIC.

EDIT: SHE STARTS OUT IN A DULL, DARK LOOKING WORLD UNTIL SHE WALKS THROUGH THE STORM CLOUDS AND GOES OUTSIDE WHERE EVERYTHING IS BRIGHT AND COLORUL. MUCH LIKE IN THE WIZARD OF OZ WHERE IT IS IN BLACK AND WHITE UP UNTIL THE TORNADO SCENE AND DOROTHY ENDS UP IN MUNCHKIN LAND AND EVENTUALLY OZ. GOING BACK TO “THERES NO PLACE LIKE HOME.”

Okay, so my first post isn’t going to be something special. Just like, ME! is such a good song. Rep was a whole new Taylor, one we hadn’t seen before. She was not only in a dark place, but she was willing to share it. Her reputation had been ruined, and she was willing to share it with us.

And now this pastel era, one that has already been amazing regardless of the first song being not even 24 hours ago, she is showing her true colors. I mean, every album has been bright and happy, then rep stained it. So now she is making up for it, with the brightest, lightest album she can
