Since we seem to be asking for additional character lore recently, any Thelen lore?
(From Thelen stan #2)
Hello Thelen Stan the Second! Marvellous to hear from you again! <3 Here are some fun facts about Thelen:
When Thelen isn't doing his job or keeping a weather eye on Dagmar, he's usually at home or at the bars and clubs. Andorians don't really do dance clubs, of course, but densely packed party scenes with strong drinks and loud music are nonetheless very popular! He rarely goes home alone - or at all.
Thelen has always been on the bigger side where Andorians are concerned, with more chitin and more muscle than most due to his lineage. He grew up learning the necessity of being careful with non-Sannev Andorians that he wasn't actively sparring with, especially when he was a kid - but even then, it wasn't a height disparity that he was dealing with so much as a bulk disparity. When Thelen first met Dagmar, he was genuinely alarmed by her size and, frankly, a little concerned. He's since met smaller Humans and realized that Dagmar is actually quite normal by Human standards, but that initial impression remains.
Thelen was never supposed to be Thoris' chief of security! He took on the role after the previous CoS was badly injured during one of Thoris' veeg hunts. He and his team have since convinced Thoris to hunt a little less frequently, and with more backup - something Thoris only agreed to very reluctantly.
Thelen met Thy'lek Shran during one of the man's many debriefings, several of which Thoris attended. He respects Shran's scrappy nature and willingness to seek out allies, but also does not think he would have made the same decision had Thelen been in the other's place during the events of ST: ENT.
Thelen's favourite colour is brilliant, acidic green.
Thelen's (new) favourite food is those weird little Human meat-cake things Dagmar made with the brown sauce. He craves them, and nothing in Andorian cuisine quite compares.

Hi! Hope you’re doing better! Are there any thoughts about Thoris you’d be willing to share with us?
Hi! Thank you, I am continuing to heal up reasonably well and I absolutely do have thoughts about Thoris!
These are some of the bits of lore that formed around his character and background as I wrote. For a secondary character, he's actually really well developed in my brain!
Thoris didn't get to pick his Andorian staff for his role as Ambassador to Earth and Tellar. They were all assigned to him. Dagmar is the first employee he's actually had any kind of say in having.
He's not actually that old! Andorians live to be around 120-150 years old, but their white hair and facial chitin make it very hard for Humans to accurately judge their ages. His real age is [CLASSIFIED]. Dagmar just thinks he's a crotchety old man because he acts like one.
Thoris never wanted to be a politician. He was an Imperial Guardsman and expected to be one until the day he died or was forced into retirement at knife-point. He was well-liked and respected in the Guard, almost too much so, and there were concerning whispers about this popularity within the Imperial court.
Shortly after the deaths of his two eldest sons, Thoris was removed from his posting after publicly criticizing the Emperor's mandates regarding border security. He was then 'volunteered' for the role of ambassador by the Emperor himself - and no one can refuse an Imperial decree.
Thoris has a huge sweet tooth, but only very rarely indulges it.
The first time Thoris met Shral, he took one look at that haircut and tried to fire Shral on the spot. The agency responsible for hiring and assigning his staff refused, citing the fact that he'd scared off the previous six candidates sent to fill the role; there was simply no one else left who had the required clearance and the prerequisite qualifications at that time. Thoris has since learned to appreciate Shral, but the first few weeks were somewhat awkward.
He actually hates Andorian ale. This has yet to stop anyone from giving it to him.
And, finally: Thoris is actually my favourite character to write of the lot.
Enjoy!

It's episodes like "Fair Haven" and "Sub Rosa" that got me convinced that the people of the twenty-fourth century are weeaboos for Irish and Scottish culture the same way twenty-first century people are weebs for Japanese and South Korean culture.

Is there some lore about Andorians you’ve been dying to tell/explore further?
THERE IS SO MUCH LORE. You have no idea. I have lore about the characters and about Andorians in general, so since y'all weren't specific - you get a little of both! ANDORIAN LORE:
Andorian men are bitey. No, really - they're very prone to biting. It's a behaviour that stems from ancient instincts, and it actually involves social communication and pheromones! Andorians have well-developed vomeronasal organs in their nasal cavities (which Humans technically also have, but it's vestigial and we have no idea if it actually does anything anymore) and additional receptors along their soft palates.
Andorian men in a serious courtship are well known to periodically, and sometimes quite randomly, nibble on their partners. It's not just foreplay and affection - they're getting a massive info dump at the same time, collecting data on their partner's health, fertility, and even social well-being from pheromone markers left by other Andorians though physical contact. As Andorians are a very touchy-feely species, this can be quite a lot of information to parse!
Andorian women generally tolerate this behaviour with good humour, but there's been many a bondmate and spouse who's been driven off for being especially irritating about it. Expectant fathers are the worst for this, and it's not an uncommon sight to see miserable fathers-to-be congregating outside of the family home or at a local eatery, glumly waiting to be let back inside the house again.
Andorian men will also bite around the neck or shoulder during sex, which stems from an equally ancient instinct to keep a mate still during the proceedings. While Andorians in general have remarkably sharp teeth, featuring slightly elongated dual canine-incisors in both the upper and lower jaws, they also come equipped with protective chitin plating in those areas and otherwise have very few vulnerable blood vessels near the skin's surface. Most of the time, the bite ends up feeling more like a firm pressure clamped over a chitinous plate rather than a painful puncture wound.
And, yes, Andorian women are also bitey, but that's just because they're notoriously aggressive and they will fight you.
CHARACTER LORE:
To date, Ambassador Anlenthoris th'Kor has fathered six children, four of whom are currently living. Ten years before the Federation formed, he lost two of his sons to a Vulcan-Andorian border skirmish, along with the team Thoris had served with for many years. The incident almost resulted in open warfare between Andoria and Vulcan, but was narrowly avoided. He visits their markers on the Wall of Heroes every day that he's on Andoria.

Big random list of things that NEARLY happened in Star Trek with no context or citation...
Harry Kim was to appear in Picard season 3 as a Captain (possibly of the Voyager-B)
Sarek was to use the Guardian of Forever to go back in time to become Surak of Vulcan, in a Next Gen episode
An episode was pitched where an NX-01 med tech played by Alice Krige was captured and assimilated by the Borg, becoming their queen
A Star Trek movie was almost made about undoing the Kelvin Universe, and would have had Shatner and Nimoy appear
They considered having Will Riker die, Data become first officer and Thomas Riker the Ops officer in TNG's "Second Chances"
JJ Abrams wanted Nichelle Nichols to cameo as the mother of Zoe Saldana's Uhura
The first season of Enterprise was to be set on Earth, culminating with the launch of NX-01 at the end of the season
They considered a shock reveal in ENT season 4 that it was actually the Vulcans who split off from the Romulans, and Romulus was their original homeworld
William Shatner wanted to return as Kirk from the Mirror Universe, in an Enterprise episode that involved time travel and creating the mirror universe with the transporter
Elnor was going to "explore his sexuality" in early Picard season 2 plans, before a change of showrunner and his character mostly vanishing
The ENT writers wanted Shatner to play Chef, a Kirk look-a-like hired by Daniels and trained to act Kirk-like to give an important speech at some point in history the real Kirk is mysteriously absent from
Data was originally created by mysterious aliens, and was to have a twin sister
Prodigy season 2 writers discussed having Chris Pine's Kirk from the Kelvin universe join the crew for a few episodes
In the originally filmed cut of Star Trek: Generations, Kirk is shot in the back and dies
Very early discussions for what eventually became Star Trek: Picard considered an adaptation of the Star Trek: Destiny novel trilogy
These discussions span off from a Short Treks pitch where a young cadet Jean-Luc Picard met Nichelle Nichols' Uhura
Early plans for the 2009 movie had wholesale destruction of the Prime universe, including the destruction of Earth. Thank Perpetual Entertainment for getting the destruction scaled back to Romulus so Star Trek Online had a Federation left to feature
There's was a story treatment written for Star Trek III: The Search for Spock where Spock stays dead
This one might be a little sus, but Christopher Pike in Discovery season 2 was planned to be very religious and fall to his knees at one point before the Red Angel, and clash with Michael over science vs faith
Early ideas for Star Trek Into Darkness had Benedict Cumberbatch as Robert April, former Enterprise captain turned rogue
Seven of Nine was going to sacrifice herself in order for Voyager to get home
A time travel Justice League of Trek movie by Brent Spiner, bringing together all eras of goodies vs all eras of villains, was considered
Spock shot JFK to fix the timeline in a proposed sequel to The Motion Picture
Ripper/Ephraim was originally going to be a regular, if giant tardigrade, crewmember on Discovery
Prior to Leonard Nimoy's involvement in what would become the 2009 Star Trek movie, a story outline was written about prime-universe cadets Kirk and Spock, in a story inspired by TNG's "The First Duty"
The Enterprise crew went through a black hole, back in time and introduced primative man to fire in another 70's movie script
A TNG movie was written where Picard summons a hologram of James T. Kirk for advice
George Kirk was to be found in the pattern buffer of the wrecked U.S.S. Kelvin 30 years later and resurrected
Voyager's EMH was originally to take on the name of his creator early on in the show, and the first Voyager novels call him "Doc Zimmerman" assuming it would have happened by publishing time
There's concept art where the U.S.S. Cerritos is a Galaxy-class starship
Riker was planned to dislike Data, and treat him poorly because he was an android
They considered making Troi's loss of powers in "The Loss" a permanent thing, because of how much hassle they caused the writing staff
Harry Kim wasn't originally planned to survive Species 8472
