DECEMBER 30TH: LETTERS TO THE SENATORS
Guys, we can fight this and make a change, but we have to be willing to stand up, scream until our voices are heard, and work for the future we want. We have to act with love, but we have to act. So I propose a letter-writing day; this being December 30th. We pick a day, and then everyone writes letters to their senators and representatives and tell them that they need to stand up for the best version of the US. They have to stand up for us, and block legislation that will harm minorities, women, and LBGTQ. We have to promote climate change work, women's rights, the end of police brutality and more. This might be small, but we can make them listen if we scream loud enough.
YOUR VOICE MATTERS, BUT ONLY IF YOU SPEAK OUT.
Please reblog, and write a letter to your senators and representatives. They need our support to keep their jobs. Tell them what you need them to do for them to earn that. We’re in this for the long haul.
And remember, act with love. Love for everyone you’re worried about, and love for this country. Let’s go into 2017 with our goals outlined and our hands extended in love.

Don’t Panic, Please
I know everyone is sick of political posts, but here are more thoughts that I hope help someone.
1. If you are upset and do still want to have an influence, you need to be logical about it. Join a group like New Era Colorado if you’re from CO, which works to inform citizens and participate in legislation, or go to a town hall meeting. If you sit out and complain on Facebook, you're screaming into an echo chamber. Going out and actually participating in the greater world will at least make sure the lawmakers know what you want, and you'll be more knowledgeable for it.
2. If you are a Clinton supporter, or a Trump supporter, you need to make an effort to understand the other side. Not all Trump supporters voted for him for racist/sexist/homophobic reasons. There is a reason besides that that he spoke to so many people, and it would be worthwhile to think about why.
Conversely, not all Democrats represent the 'death of common sense'. We do have legitimate reasons to be afraid of what could happen. But we won't understand the realities of the other's worlds until we sit down and talk about why we made our choices in a calm way.
I'm not saying respect all opinions, because if the opinion is, 'Black people/women/Muslims are just inherently inferior,' THAT is wrong. But if the opinion is, 'Hey, I'm from a rural area, most people in the town are trapped in poverty and have no options, and we felt ignored by the DNC and the RNC and just needed something to change,' THAT is as worth hearing.
3. Clearly, something in this country needs to be addressed and changed. If you care about what happened, and if you care about what will happen, you have the chance to help instigate that change. You do matter.
America isn't just for the people at the top, for the people in DC, or the cities, or the rural areas. America is built out of all of us, and our ideals, our values, our beliefs, and the love and courage we can offer. That is what is what makes this country what it is. Don’t take that away.

so my sister had homecoming last weekend and all the guys in her group secretly decided on undercover superhero identities and wore the corresponding colors to match the shirts underneath and revealed them during this picture and it was perfect.

COUNTER // CULTURE
For my photography class I did series of self-portraits in which I attempted to portray culture and counterculture for the past 10 decades. This is the product of that idea…

"Scarlett does great representation for all the other girls, but there should be a Wonder Woman movie. I don’t care if they make 20 bucks, if there’s a movie you’re gonna lose money on, make it Wonder Woman. You know what I mean, ’cause little girls deserve that."
