El pianista de jazz Brad Mehldau, ganador del premio Grammy, ha grabado y actuado extensamente desde principios de la década de 1990. La producción más consistente de Mehldau a lo largo de los años ha tenido lugar en el formato de trío. A partir de 1996, su grupo lanzó una serie de cinco discos en Warner Bros. titulado The Art of the Trio (recientemente reempaquetado y relanzado como una caja de 5 discos por Nonesuch a fines de 2011). Durante ese mismo período, Mehldau también lanzó una grabación de piano solo titulada Elegiac Cycle , y un disco llamado Places que incluía canciones de piano solo y trío. Ciclo y lugares de Elegiacpodrían denominarse álbumes “conceptuales” compuestos exclusivamente de material original con temas centrales que se ciernen sobre las composiciones.

Do you read long books? 📖 .
