Okay so,

I do like percabeth

But it isn’t a frankly realistic long term ship, like yeah it’s cute as hell, I mean friends as kids, would choose each other over their parents rivalry, would lowkey murder for each other, made out where their parents rivalry started. It’s flipping adorable.

But at the same time, they were each other’s first relationship, the one relationship that introduces you to and teaches you about relationships. Like it’s not supposed to be long term. I like the idea of them being more in a relationship at first, and then realizing it won’t last but they do adore and love each other, but not only in a romantic way (also I can go on a hundred rants about how friendship is the fucking best, like when you just connect with these people, and you know they won’t hurt you intentionally and would do so so much for you, and you can lowkey flirt with them and they share the same views as you!!! It’s the best ( as you can tell I love my friends))

But anyways, I like to think that they just become really close friends, like yeah they go to new Rome together and share an apartment (with a guest room specifically for Grover, bc I miss my cute as lord of the wild satyr), and yeah they paint each other’s nails and sometimes sit on each other’s laps. But they’re friends.

And annabeth and him help each other with their relationships and be like hey that guys your type and then promptly embarrass the other in front of that guy.

Also they sometimes pretend they’re still in a relationship when creepy gods flirt with them and so many people are confused bc are the dating???? Or not????

And then whenever people are like I really thought you two would last forever, they’re like bitch, our friendship will

And really their relationship is something they thought they really wanted, annabeth wanted something that would last forever, percy never had the chance to make meaningful close relationships bc everyone thought he was a delinquent freak. But like you can have both of those without having a relationship??

And another plus!!! They get room to grow!! And figure out more about themselves and what they want in life and being single honestly helps with that

also theyre part gods, like you could explore the gods tedency for never having like one lover, and how they also go into a lot of relationships making parallels between the gods and demgods (can you imagine it, like the gods realise that while them and their kids both have many lovers, the demigods are much healthier and overall better? it would be amazing) 

Also like in real life, if anyone was only with one person their whole lives, u bet ur ass there would be like 40 adults being like ur gonna break up in a few months

Darker gods (or well only the big three)

Why are all the gods in pjo so childish, like I get that pjo is a kids book series but if you can somehow make someone’s face getting burnt off by acid (Selena Beauregard) and someone literally being blown up in front of a 15 year old (Charles Beckendorf) into an appropriate thing to read, you can do it to gods.

For example Zeus, you don’t go more into his dick-ish side. Like this guy has like raped people, and also once ate his wife (Métis), he also likes random murder. I mean Zeus is still described as a pretty scary person though so it’s not that bad. I am very annoyed by the fact that he just uses his lightning bolt, like this guy can control the sky and the air and is also the god of flipping justice????? Also make Thalia have air powers too? Like Jason gets lightning and air and what does Thalia have, lightning and that’s it, give her air manipulation dammit

And then there’s hades, thought he was characterised amazingly in the first book, I mean silky voice, throne and everything. But someone needs to remind him hades isn’t a villain??? Like all this dude wants to do is chill with his wife before she goes back to her mom. Also this guy, bitch has to deal with so many dead ppl, I would cry. Also lowkey his powers are so cool??? Like my young emo self wished. But like hades wasn’t done that bad and Nico was shown as a really powerful character which made me happy.

Then Poseidon, why did u make him into a dude bro, uncle rick, why???? Poseidon is the fucking, father of monsters?? Like that would have been lowkey amazing for percy and explaining his descent into the darkness (dark percy makes me happy inside) and would’ve made the akhlys scene so much more in general, I’m going off track, sorry I just really love percy jackson. But Poseidon is known as the most temperamental god, like he’s usually chill, but when he’s mad. He’s MAD mad. Like the titanic, definitely his fault, Pompeii, if percy can explode volcanoes so can his dad, Atlantis, also him, I just wish we saw more of that side. Also god of effing storms, that’s like sooo cool. Also he’s like the king of 70% of the earth, there’s a whole civilization down under, there would be like multiple colonies of nymphs and sirens and mermaids and stuff, which different languages, or different dialects of Atlantian (I’m getting out of hand wait) but like anyways Poseidon was done dirty, make him the badass fish man he is.

I wanna do more gods but I’m tired and this is enough I think, I’ll do the rest later.

god what i wouldn't do to have nico, percy, and thalia back-to-back-to-back facing down an endless army of monsters with no civilians or fellow demigods or necessary infrastructure nearby........... sometimes being a PJO fan is wanting to see three immensely powerful traumatized individuals just destroy everything in a fifty mile radius. riordan gave me a taste of pure wanton destruction when percy flattened mt st helens and i've been shook ever since. author, i crave violence.
