ritsu swears he would've started crying on stage when knights received their award— being his turn to give the speech and all.

idol life has been especially tough, and if you'd have told him that he, himself would reveal your relationship through an award speech;

he would have laughed in your fuckin' face.

but here he was. in front of thousands of people, facing a crowd that would soon find out he already had a special someone.

winning song of the year with a song he wrote with knights' ex leader wasn't on his 2024 bucket list. don't get him wrong, he was thankful and all, but..

going abroad for a month without you was definitely a hard time for him. you would often shush him and say it'll be over any time soon, but it felt like decades.

especially since they just released a love song. one he thought of, and asked leo to help him write, for you.

technically you helped as well. i mean, you were basically the start of the idea for the song.

which led to the award he was holding shake in his hands, biting down his lip as he looks back at the massive screen, showing knights.

"my last thanks. to.. our wonderful ex leader." ritsu smiles softly, turning his head to look at leo, before nodding at him, handing over the award to him.

the ravenette lets out an awkward laugh, gripping the microphone stand.

"and.. to my significant other. thank you, for helping meee," he pauses, feeling his eyes slowly well up as he sniffles.

and the words that would leave his mouth would forever leave a scar in the music industry.

"i miss you, baby," he mutters into the microphone, releasing a chuckle, hiding his face as soon as he says that, wiping his tears.

the large screen highlighting his face— other knights members surrounding him to comfort him.

glossy eyes, tear stained cheeks, biting his lower lip, as the wind softly blows in their direction.

and finally, he smiles directly at the camera, before getting into a group hug with his members.
