hi, this is fucking old and it’s more than a month since valentines passed but i still feel like everyone should have read this even if it ain’t valentines anymore. i love you and you matter💗

[07:00] happy valentine’s day from lou! i don’t have a valentine, i never have, and i know a lot of other people don’t too. so, i’m sending you all my hugs today and i hope everyone survives the mess of cringe-worthy couples! i wish i could hand you all a bouquet of roses and a large, cuddly teddy bear so that everyone feels included, but sadly i cant.

the best gift you can give to yourself is simply, love. we all have insecurities and it’s a challenge to get over them considering society today, but self love is always helpful! remember to breathe and keep working at your own pace that you know you can cope with, and don’t compare yourself so much to others. everyone is different and it’s our experiences and interests that make us unique!

so, do the things you love simply because you can, and try not to think too much about your responsibilities. read a book, take a bubble bath/hot shower, write down your feelings, talk to a friend that you miss talking to or simply take a nap if that’s what you like. whatever it is that makes you happy, you deserve this day to rest and do that thing you love most.

i know it’s hard to always love yourself when you feel like you’re all alone, and the thoughts always invade your mind. but, you’re never alone. i’m always here to talk to anyone who wants to vent, or needs an opinion/advice. i’m no professional, far from it, but sometimes you just need that little push. there’s no judgement here, but if you feel uncomfortable talking to a stranger, then talk to a friend. talk to someone you trust and love, just let it out.

take a deep breath, push all the negativity away for this one day. and changing because it benefits someone else is never a good thing to do. you’ve built yourself up to who you are now, don’t let it all drain away because someone is unhappy with the way you are. love yourself, love others around you, spread love to anyone who you know that needs it.

you spot a soaked jaemin at the entrance of your neighborhood park, leaning on his car and smoking a cigarette, staring up at the gray pouring skies.

you stop in your tracks and look the boy dead in his eyes. he cocks an eyebrow at you.
