Rowan:

• had to cut their hair after Junia accidentally casted the Permanent Sticking Charm to her, luckily they didnt have to go bald :PP because only a portion of her hair stuck to the wall like glue

• the same glasses designs but i like to hc she buys new ones every school year because they end up destroyed or cracked.

•Wears a headband Junia gave them

• shes in ravenclaw! But the two always have the same classes,schedule and are still close despite the game having you be in the same house with rowan lol

•Rowan uses they/she :)

•They tutor people for extra galleons but if its Junia they do it for free because its Junia

• tries her best to have a calm composure but ultimately geeks out and breaks character when with Junia.

•is half blood but has no exposure to the muggle world

•thinks fictional muggle books are ‘corny’

•Looks like a listener is a yapper

•theyre so dear to me

•in my head they have a phoenix feather core

•great duelist

• has sensitive hearing

•since the khannas do own a business im p sure shes well off as well? They do supply wood for brooms and wands so middle high to high at best

•easily cold, nags junia to bundle up whenever they visit hogsmeade

•even if with the closeness of the two rowan never met Junia’s mother to which the latter reasoned mum is always busy

•their patronus is a fox (its canon i said so/J)

Junia:

•Hufflepuffs hate her 🔥🔥

• a freak of nature in both positive and negative aspects

• acts shy and awkward but has no filter when with close friends like Rowan or Ben

•at some point had a crush on merula until she realized it was too diabolical

• she zones out a lot and has low attention span to things she is not interested in (quidditch, magical creatures and flying). You have to shout at her so she can focus

•talented at charms.. able to master spells at a disturbingly fast rate

•thinks her wand looks like an ugly wasp hive

• likes physical touch so much, her friends hate seeing her arm coming and wrapping it around their own

• easily gets hot, always around the school premises with only her blouse and skirt

• has a jewelry box filled to the brim with well jewelry, most of it was gifts from her mum

•her family is middle high class, mostly from generational wealth. (My mc is related to my hogwarts legacy mc so this is why)

•she lives in the countryside of muggle england

•Flunked her Potions N.E.W.T.S and went into hiding 💔

•her patronus is a dolphin!

So here we are! Two designs for Shiori. Fairytale retellings are some of my favorite books.... which is probably fairly obvious given the majority of the content I've created "redesigns" for.... oh well. Anyway, while this book was a little 'young' to join my personal list of Favorite Books Ever I did really enjoy reading it and it broke me out of a reading slump & has a stunning cover. So praise all around. If I was 16 I'd be all over this book, Tamora Pierce fans will love it, I clearly enjoyed it so much I made these redesigns so you know it's good.

I absolutely recommend it (unless you're looking for a more mature version of this fairytale to which I'd have to direct you to 'Daughter of the Forest' which is sadly not set in a fantasy Japan but is still very good & is for a decidedly older audience).
