i love the idea that xavier emits a faint glow of light at all times. like, he's in your place dozing on the sofa near your grumpy string of perals, that hangs limply over the side of its pot with it's balled leaves lacking any volume. the same plant that refuses to cheer up no matter how much or little you water it. that makes a point of drooping more regardless of which way you position it in the weak natural light. but half an hour next to a sleeping xavier? it's a whole new plant- it's perked up. it's more verdant and the spherical leaves have somehow inflated looking more peral-like than ever and you're sure it's trails have grown slightly.

or when you're cooking together. sometimes you just have him stand in the kitchen to keep you company while holding the sad pot of corriander that you've valiantly tried to keep alive. you don't have much hope when you shove the decorative pot into xavier's hands after giving it a health watering. the stalks have folded under the minute weight of their yellowing leaves but you figure it's worth a shot. within 5 minutes of xavier's gently cradling the herb, it's bounced back to life and ready to be pruned, chopped and scattered over your meals.

the intensity of the glow changes depending on his mood and emotions. if he's flustered, say you've just kissed him languidly and you break apart slower than usual or if he's truly excited, the glow is so bright it's like a halo framing him. but if he's in a foul mood or truly enraged, he no longer gives off any form of light, in fact he absorbs it like a vacuum with a shadow hiding his eyes. it's menacing and you would hate to be on the recieving end of it. but eventually the clouds will break and he's back to having this almost imperceptible luminosity surround him.

Based on some rumblings I heard, I ended up quickly throwing together a fun little WIP bingo sheet! I'll admit I largely wrote the prompts for writing, but I think a good number of them should also apply to art!

Ultimately, the goal is to have fun, and finish whatever WIPs you can (without burning yourself out or having a bad time). If you needed a sign to pick up that project you've been putting off, the time is now!
