Alas, I don’t really have a favorite Codot commission from those days. I do have a favorite commission now though. More often than not I find myself commissioning letters or congratulating messages from Codot for my darling @lunar-scapes

It’s usually Edward bc he’s our favorite and it’s usually about a major event in our lives or just a fun holiday card.

I’m a huge gift giver. So I don’t usually commission for myself, I usually commission for others

this passing hurt so much. he's was such a brilliant actor but especially a brilliant man. His acting specifically in Candyman (the first movie) was the most beautiful acting and storytelling i've yet to see in modern film making.

but just like in his movie, he's never truly gone. a legend forever imprinted in the hearts of many. Rest peacefully Tony Todd.

What do you think of the Candyman movies? (Thought I'd bring this up since Tony Todd sadly passed away this week; it seems like he had cancer.)

I would probably rank the first Candyman up there in my top horrors movies of all time. It's beautifully shot and both Tony Todd and Virginia Madsen are gorgeous in their roles. That shot of Helen smoking at the table with the noir lighting? Seared into my brain. Tony Todd's voice? Seared into my brain. The score by Philip Glass? Specifically Helen's Theme? One of the most beautiful horror compositions of all time. And I'm always a whore for horror movie scores.

All this before I even get into the plot and how it weaves different themes and ideas across its darkly romantic beats.

I really just fucking adore Candyman (1992).

I will not be discussing the two sequels since they're dogshit lmao.
