If you are unaware, there has been a shooting at a Colorado gay nightclub, Club Q, that has claimed the lives of five people and injured twenty-five. Fence Macabre’s roots are built upon acceptance and being a sanctuary for queer individuals. We feel it necessary to encourage you to donate to the victims and their families if you are financially able, even moreso with today being the Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day to remember those killed by transphobia.
The Healing Fund (click here) provides the safest way for people to donate and makes sure that the funds go to the victims and their families. The fund is a 501©(3) non-profit organization founded in 2018 by a group of victim advocates and community leaders. The organization partners with the Colorado Crisis Education Network, the Colorado Department of Public Safety and the Colorado Department of Transportation. Initial funding was provided by the Colorado Attorney General’s office upon the creation of the non-profit.
In addition, there are three more fundraisers to help the victims and their families.
1. Faith Haug of Good Judy Garage (click here), a small business in Denver, launched the fundraiser to raise funds for the families of the victims killed in the tragic shooting, as well as to help those injured with medical expenses.
2. Greg Resha of Colorado Springs (click here), a former employee of Club Q, launched the fundraiser to help the families of the victims, as well as those who were injured.
3. Classroom of Compassion (click here) is a nonprofit organization aimed at creating public mourning spaces for communities following a tragedy. The fundraiser is meant to help the Colorado Springs community heal. They will be traveling to Colorado Springs this week to create five public altars honoring the victims killed in the shooting.

I like that kids just have trans classmates now and don't give a shit. It's like having a classmate with red hair to them. Like "Mildly notable, anyway back to Fortnite"

The legacies people leave behind in you.
My handwriting is the same style as the teacher’s who I had when I was nine. I’m now twenty one and he’s been dead eight years but my i’s still curve the same way as his.
I watched the last season of a TV show recently but I started it with my friend in high school. We haven’t spoken in four years.
I make lentil soup through the recipe my gran gave me.
I curl my hair the way my best friend showed me.
I learned to love books because my father loved them first.
How terrifying, how excruciatingly painful to acknowledge this. That I am a jigsaw puzzle of everyone I have briefly known and loved. I carry them on with me even if I don’t know it. How beautiful.

Detransitioning is already a loaded and bad term because it still implies there is an inexorable Core Gender in your being that, one transitioned away from, can simply be returned to like a Factory Reset.
Retransitioning is more helpful and more accurate and more inclusive.
You didn't De-transition, you simply Transitioned Again. You didn't like where you were, so you kept going, just like everyone else who did it the first time.
🙏😌💛
it kills me how some trans people can understand someone going from iding as a trans man to a nb person, literally detransitioning from being a trans man, but if that person detransitioned from trans man to gnc cis woman suddenly they are a traitor to the community, a failure, and should be shunned
