Why I Love These Drums
They just sound good. Okay well, there's more to it than that but that's the most important part. When these first came out a few years ago I was intrigued by their look. I thought they looked classy and the shell make-up was different than the usual intermediate kits out there. I wanted to get a downbeat configuration and luckily one popped up in my local classified ads so I went ahead and took the plunge. I'm glad I did. For what they cost these drums sound really great. I went ahead and bought a Fab 22 shell pack in matching finish to add to my set-up options.
I like the simple features of this kit. Classic brackets, modern rail mount, centre lugs, classy wrap finishes and no nonsense classic sizes. We finally seem to be turning the corner on the long bass drum trend and I couldn't be happier. 14" depth has always been plenty long enough.
Did I mention the snare? It sounds great, never mind what it costs which is next to nothing (It is sold separately from the shell pack).
No, I don't work for Ludwig. I just really love these drums and thought I'd make a blog dedicated to them. Feel free to submit content.
