Bill snickers, hiding behind a few bushes. He knows, of course, that he can just become invisible/intangible, but he just enjoys the mischievous feel of hiding.

But, eventually, he gets tired of hiding, and groans, disappearing and reappearing with a flash of smoke and sparks behind Dipper, giggling like a maniac. 

"So, Dipper, howzit been, ol' pal! You seem a bit older since I saw the last version of you. What's up?" 

He eyes Dipper, looking him up and down, and notices something particularly different from the rest of the Dippers he's seen.

His eye.

"Whoa, buddy, what's up with your eye there?"

They didn’t go long before Bill called out in surprise and anger <Keep those peepers open, Pine Tree!  I’m here!  ’Nother me,> he then clarified.
