Fun facts: Every time Sigil has a new scribe as his host, he changes his hair color and blends in with their aesthetic which is why he looks different here.

- Both Sergeant and General are twin brothers.

- General is Taleteller's uncle while Sergy is Taleteller's late father, he wasn't able to know what his dad is like because Sebastian killed him when he was a baby.

- Tala being Taleteller's daughter, makes General her granduncle.

- Ever since Sergy was killed, General was Sigil's host now back then.

Sigil's backstory

Sigil Emory is just an alias to cover up his true identity, why is that? You can ask Samson. He understands what his old friend had been through in ancient times.

Sigil was formerly a mortal by the name of Cilas, a complete geek who was fond of literature and theater. As part of the Hesperians' curse surrounding the family's duty to preserve the Garden of Hesperides, he descended from a line of mortal Hesperians who are unbondable by Theons. They can't bond with the Theons to the extent that the Hesperians would have liked to keep their habitat a secret from the outside world for their safety because their home is botanically full with plants that could endanger their well-being.

The Hesperians are friendly with Delilah and Samson even though their past has made their lives incredibly lonely because they are thought to be the only ones who can maintain their secret life. Since he attends school, Cilas is able to leave the garden, but Aegle is not. It was during his time in school that he first laid eyes on Leviathan and began to develop feelings for him. Despite the awful effects of his family's curse, the Hesperian's love for a Theon does not stop him from admiring the draconian from a distance. Because his family history is allegedly "fictional," Leviathan is unaware of the existence of the mortal nerd, and Cilas' feelings for him are too unrequited to be revealed. Aegle felt awful for her brother for being a hopeless romantic, therefore Hesperian kept his love a secret from his father. Later then, Cilas stumbled upon a book when he was walking home, he didn't see any person who left it so he took it at home and realized he found the grimoire of Vespers where he started learning with Aegle.

Neferu arrived and broke the news of his family's existence, revealing their existence to the world and ruining their garden in the process. The siblings' father tries to stop her because of fear that she would harm Cilas and Aegle, but Neferu's servants, Albus and Horace, wound the farmer before she took the Hesperians as slaves and ruined the Garden of Hesperides. She intended to investigate their blood; while their incarceration due to Neferu, the Hesperians are in danger of dying of anemia. The Crimson Scourge discovered that Cilas had planned and eventually succeeded in an escape for his family's survival after she unalived the father, he used a spell to stun her before he freed Aegle to save her, much to her fear of losing her only family now that he is undergoing a chronologically fatal death using the Vespers' magic. The philosopher (the Vesper in antiquity) blocked the plan to execute Cilas slowly and painfully for his actions. As he defeated her, Cilas begged the hero to find his sister so that she can be okay. As soon as the philosopher realized that the young man had discovered his grimoire—which warned of the dire consequences that would result from anybody unrelated to the Vespers exercising their power—he consented to the young man's advice and started looking for Aegle.

By the time the pair found her, it was too late to learn that the sister had been tricked into wishing the Skull Heart by a "follower." Aegle, full of vengeance and grief, wished the Skull Heart to save her brother from the consequences of the grimoire, but the relic didn't grant her exactly what she expected when she unintentionally turned Cilas into a parasite. Even while Aegle is worried about the damage her actions have caused to her brother, she is at least glad that his transformation of a parasite has saved him from death. Afterwards, the sister became a Skullgirl after having her request granted by the Skull Heart, and Cilas was horrified at seeing this. After seeing both of their metamorphoses, Aegle went to exact revenge on Neferu for wreaking havoc on her family, leaving his brother heartbroken. The philosopher then took the converted parasite and withdrew for team assembly.

To stop the Skullgirl, the Philosopher brought the team—which included Samson, Delilah, Leviathan and his previous avatar, Annie and Sagan, Orion, Draco and Silver, Fornax, and Cetus—together. To the surprise of Samson and Delilah, Cilas presented himself to Leviathan as Sigil, even though he is ecstatic to get to know him now that he is a parasite and free from his family's curse. Cilas is also in anguish over the thought of losing his identity and ending his sister's life. Eventually, Cilas reluctantly decided to put his anguish aside and reluctantly agreed to help fight his sister. Upon his success, Cilas was overcome with grief over Aegle's passing and came to the realization that he was now the sole Hesperian left. That does not mean that the story ends here; he and the others go confront and battle Neferu for her crimes against humanity. After Delilah lost her life in this conflict, Cilas and The Philosopher made the decision to establish an afterlife where renowned individuals and heroes may live in peace rather than becoming a part of the next Skullgirl's army of the undead, the Elysium. After that, as the recognized Sigil of the Vespers you are familiar with today, Cilas gave up his old life and began a new one.

Leviathan being his crush, is the reason why Silas gained the courage to leave outside of the Garden often. However, due to having the noxious scent of his family's curse and lack of social skills from life in isolated home, this became a disadvantage for Silas to interact with him, no wonder why Leviathan didn't know that Sigil is once the farmer boy.

About the Elysium family:

A lineage of florists with parasite-harming flowers.

His family is friends with Delilah along with Samson which explains why the two parasites have known eachother.

They have poisonous blood and a noxious scent for looking after the garden, if a parasite goes closer to the member's presence, the parasite will experience difficulties breathing because of this so it is best to not to be near them and the same applies when countering flowers from the Garden.

☆ Since Synthetic parasites and Living Weapons existed, they cannot be affected by the scent but can be deteriorated by blood.

☆ If a natural parasite has poison-plant based powers then they are considered to be immune against the Hesperides' plants, including the Hesperians' blood.

Sigil has a mom named Erytheia, and an aunt named Hesperethusa or Hespera for short.

Inspiration: Garden of Hesperides/ Greek ver. of Eden, Castor and Pollux, Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel.

I replaced the first letter of the name "Silas" with "C." "Silas" is a name with Greek origins meaning "of the forest" or "woodland," I made the name Cilas just to fit with the first letter of Aegle which is reminiscent of the story of Cain and Abel where he killed his younger brother out of jealousy.

Both Erytheia and Hespera were not mentioned except for Aegle, their names were based on the Nymphs who guard Hera's garden. Like Aegle, the first initial of Erytheia is reminiscent of Eve, the second wife of Adam from the Bible story of Adam and Eve.
