Lucia grinned at him and pulled back her hand. "We've all been there, don't worry," she replied with a reassuring tone. "Uh, well you don't have to be anywhere in particular right now. We get some time to ourselves." She noticed the stuff he was carrying and shrugged. "You can put your stuff away for now. If you find your cabin assignment, you can leave your stuff in there." Lucia too a step away from him and gestured for him to follow her.
"I'll be your unofficial tour guide of sorts," she chuckled, looking at him as she fell into step with him. Her shoes made soft sounds while she walked, hitting the ground with hitting thuds. Lucia walked towards the main building, where the cabin assignments were always posted outside. Her eyes scanned the list in search for their names, finger running down the paper. "Uh... you're in cabin ten, I'm in thirteen." Lucia stepped back and motioned for him to follow her again. "All the odd numbers are for girls, and the even numbers are for boys," she explained, heading towards the cabins.
Lucia pointed to the one that Sawyer was assigned to as they approached the buildings. "That's yours. There might be kids in there already, I'm not sure. You'll know which bed is yours, it's always the biggest in the room," she told him. "And mine, is right there," she told him, pointing towards her cabin. "I'll let you put your stuff away and such. If you need anything, just come get me, yeah?"
01. Hey, New Kid
Groaning at the feeling of being shaken, Sawyer slowly came to. The male took in a sharp breath and quickly opened his eyes when he realized he’d fallen asleep. His eyes found the driver whose hand was on his shoulder and he smiled politely, letting them know they could leave him alone now. He glanced out of the window and smiled a little, glad to finally have arrived. From what he could see, it was already perfect. He picked up his things and after slinging his bag over his shoulders he opened the door and stepped out of the taxi. The driver had already put his stuff outside and after he stepped out the driver left.
He picked up his stuff and walked between two of the buses that were parked in a row along the gravel drive. Chewing on the inside of his cheek, he looked around the grounds. He wasn’t sure where he was supposed to go, it was hard to even focus on which of the small buildings were which with all of the kids running around everywhere.
Sawyer’s attention was brought to a girl shouting something about a new kid. Who knew if he was the one she was talking to, but being a new guy, he was forced by instinct to look over. His eyes found the girl and he smiled a little, watching her walk up to him. “Uh… yeah,” he said, laughing a little. “I don’t even know where to go right now.” He took her hand in his and shook it lightly, “Sawyer. Nice to meet you, too, Lucia.”

01. Hey, New Kid
A yawn forced its way out of her mouth while the bus rolled to a stop. Lucia stood up, pulling her bag over her shoulder before walking to the door. Her suitcase had been sent ahead to the camp, so all she had to do was worry about getting herself to the location. "Thank you," she said to the bus driver before hopping out of the vehicle. The camp, now practically a second home to her, was only a short distance away. With a small breeze blowing around, she hardly minded the walk. She set off on the familiar path towards the camp, her hand holding her bag to her shoulder for extra security. The camp was already milling with activity by the time she got there. The kids wouldn't be there for a few hours, but the counselors were all there, wandering around the main grounds and socializing.
Lucia ran her hand through her hair, her fingers tangling in the brown curls. A sigh fell from her lips as she looked around. Being a counselor was undoubtedly busy, but she loved it. In the past she had performed her duties responsibly and then let loose in the night, and she was looking forward to a summer just like the last, if not, better. She waved at a few familiar faces as her eyes wandered, but her attention was drawn to a boy standing alone. She pursed her lips as she glanced at him, taking a good look (she might as well, he wasn't looking). A smile pulled at her lips as she watched him look around, crossing her arms across her chest. She could tell that he was new just by the lack of interaction. "Hey, new kid!" she called out to him. She waved at him when she thought he was looking for the source of the noise. Lucia smiled at him as she walked towards him, figuring that he needed someone to help him around. And she definitely didn't mind showing someone the ropes (especially if that someone was attractive). "I figured you might want some help around here," she stated, holding her hand out to him. "I'm Lucia. Nice to meet you...?" She trailed off her sentence, waiting for his name.
