Taney gently scratched her fingertips up the back of Lucas’ neck as she looked down at him. She new every fleck of color in those eyes and missed them in the moments he blinked. Silly as that thought was, it was one of the many little things that told her she loved him. A part of her was so dark, so self-loathing for being this way, her mind never still, always picking at things and questioning reality. It wasn’t her fault repeat trauma had put cracks where the ‘normal’ should be, but after years together she’d hoped to not have to hear her brain saying little things like this anymore. Taney wanted to always be present- it was why she’d dragged him out for, as she dubbed it, a ‘normie date’.

“The class is going to start in ten minutes. If you’re worried about me burning down a building in New York City, now’s your chance to stop me.” Her lips curved into a little wicked smirk and she pulled on his callused hands. What she hadn’t told him was that this was the third time she’d been. Was it weird to still want to impress your partner after all this time? Her mind ticked on, her green eyes staring at his face a blink of absence and a blink of presence. “A kiss for luck that we don’t starve tonight?”

“I’ve gotta wonder just what kind of class this is if you’re able to burn down a building. Though I suppose you could cause a fire in any class if you tried hard enough.” Lucas chuckled pulling her hands back so he could kiss them before leaning forward from where he was sat and kissing her chest. “I’m not worried. Mostly because if you’re going to burn something down it’ll be for a reason I assume and I tend to agree with you on most cases.”

Axel: No. SHe doesn't need a test, there's just no way.

Axel: Then why am I still worried?

Lucas: Even if there is no way it's still easier to see the evidence than it is just just accept it without any.

Lucas: Because you love her?

Axel: Come on, thats like a one in a million chance. Maybe she's just being super self-conscious. That's probably it.

Axel: No not at all.

Lucas: Then just be supportive. Has she taken a test? That'll help her calm down.

Lucas: Then you have nothing to worry about.

Axel: I don't think so. She's on birth control.

Axel: We are, but what if she's changing her mind about me or something?

Lucas: Birth control can fail. Sometimes babies just happen. Look at me. Taney isn't suppose to be able to have kids but we ended up with Liam.

Lucas: Before this incident was she being distant?

Axel: That's what I thought!

Axel: I think she thinks shes pregnant...

Axel: What if she bails on me?

Lucas: Is there a possibility she could be pregnant?

Lucas: I thought you two were happy.

Lucas: It's the healthiest relationship i've seen you in for a while.

Delilah rolled her eyes and dodged his first punch and went in with her own that was a little harder and a little more in rhythm. “I. Don’t. Want. To. Be. Here!” Delilah spoke through harder punches, punctuating each word with a fist to his gloves. But the more she punched, the faster she got. And God.. did it feel good. “I. Told. You. I’m. Fine!” 

Lucas moved his hand away and moved into her space, grabbing her arm and pulled her against him. “Hey...” He held her tightly. “What ever it is... you can tell me. You know that right? You’re clearly not fine, Del.” He pulled away to look at her. “What happened?”

Axel: Okay.. so Niki was all bummed cuz she's been gaining weight right?

Axel: Then she kinda freaks because she thinks it might not just be weight gain.

Axel: And now she's acting weird..

Lucas: Quarantine weight?

Lucas: Well what does she think it is?

Lucas: Weird how?

“Well since I don’t exactly plan on picking anyone up..” Delilah sighed as she made what she figured would be the best fist to avoid hurting her fingers. Taking a step into a little more offensive stance, Delilah connected her fist with the pad but it really wasn’t that hard. “Come on, I don’t see how this is supposed to help me de-stress.. I told you I’m fine.” Delilah punched the pad again, but a little harder the next time and damn.. It felt good. 

Lucas smirked. “Sure you are and you’re totally not feeling a little better already” He pretended to nod in agreement. “Keep going. Lets see what you got. Bring your worst.” He playfully jabbed at her hand to get her to respond.

Delilah stepped under the rung of the boxing ring without lifting her eyes from him. This was definitely the last place she expected to end up. “Are you sure about this?”  Was she? Having never really been one for violence, showing up at the gym had needless to say, been somewhat of a surprise. 

“You needed a stress relief and this one of your options unless you’re planning on picking s guy up.” He raised his hands, holding the pads up. “Take a swing. Go for it. As hard as you want to go. I can take it. I promise you.” Lucas chuckled as he widened his stance to prepare.

“I REALLY had no idea you were this much fun.” las vegas really brought out the most carefree attitude out of people. they had spent the entire day networking with different companies and setting up contacts for FUTURE business, but now that it was nice he had offered to tour her around the city that she had never been to before. “honestly i’ve never seen you out of a suit before and here you are drinking out of those meter long cups of TERRIBLE margaritas.” the brunette chuckled, letting her free hand whisk away the stray hair that had settled over her face from the night wind. “what else are you hiding? i mean if you’re not really the stuffy guy that i see yelling at people all day at work then who are you?”

“Stuffy?” Lucas chuckled. Wow. Well I must not have been doing a good job at getting myself across. I’m probably the least stuffy guy I know.” He laughed, his hand reaching up to push through his hair. “I guess work is work and home is home and never the two shall meet. I bet there isn’t one thing you could think of that I haven’t done. With my past and the way I live my presence... I live a pretty exciting life. You know what, go ahead. Ask me anything. What’s something you really wanted to know about me.”

Baking. It sounds nice and pleasant because you’re surrounded by food, however someone has to eat the food and it ends up being mostly yourself. You’re then surrounded by a large amount of food with a stomach that may be hurting, and you used all of your groceries. It’s incredibly problematic now that I say it out loud.

Oh god. I’d get so fat. I’m suppose to be watching what I eat.

Senior year is already kicking my ass as well as hearing some other not so nice things. Guess I’m just gonna have to roll with it again. Gotta say going to the gym is helping with stress relief.

A personal morning, then. You know when some people say “this is my Monday”? Same idea, except when I pull a double and go to sleep I wake up at three. Technically it’s the afternoon, yes, but what it be a morning for me?

I’ll give you that one. Doesn’t matter what time it is, if you don’t get enough sleep it sucks.
