Hi I'm one of those romance-favorable aros that people keep bringing up and I'd just like to say:
Stop using my identity to invalidate my aro siblings
And if you're truly set on making aro characters romance-favorable, then do that!
My experiences are not the same as someone who is alloromantic just because I'm romance-favorable. You can't just slap 'romance-favorable' on an aro character to write them how you would an allo.
Have them grapple with being in a relationship and feeling guilty that they don't feel what their partner feels. Have them have tough conversations with their partner over how they feel and their specific limits. Have them fight the internalized arophobia they feel that tells them they can't really be aro if they're in a romantic relationship.
But for the love of God, stop just slapping 'romance-favorable' on aro characters to ignore the fact that they are aro.

The background says "I'll feed your boundless hunger with my endless tenderness". Because Binghe's longing for SQQ's tenderness and SQQ's wish to provide for and protect him is one of my favourite things about Bingqiu. Closeups, acknowledgements, sketch, symbolism and a fun game:

Acknowledgments: Binghe's face is inspired by @folding-fan whose Binghes are just so cute and pretty! The composition, letters and drapery are inspired by Art Nouveau posters.
Symbolism: The reason neither of their mouths are visible is to symbolise their miscommunication issues and SQQ's closed eyes symbolise his obliviousness. And the decoration on the top of the frame is a stylised lotus that shifts from white to black, because SQQ lives him at his whitest, at his blackest and every beautiful colour in-between. And the shape of the letters and if the zuiyin is supposed to look a bit like lotus petals.
Fun game: can you guess how their legs are supposed to be positioned by the drapery of SQQ's robes? Here's the answer:
Also:
They're wearing a bit of each other's colour: SQQ' red hairtie and LBH's green waist ornament :3
SQQ is supposed to be doing a rare and dangerous (for Binghe's heart) "headpat+hairkiss" combo but it kinda looks like he's sniffing Binghe's hair, which is fine too, I bet it smells so good!
After posting I noticed that Binghe's hair is way too big so it looks like SQQ is barely touching it instead of firmly pressing his head to his chest orz Just know that I was going for the latter!

was talking to my mom about how white people ignore the contributions of poc to academia and I found myself saying the words "I bet those idiots think Louis Pasteur was the first to discover germ theory"
which admittedly sounded pretentious as fuck but I'm just so angry that so few people know about the academic advancements during the golden age of Islam.
Islamic doctors were washing their hands and equipment when Europeans were still shoving dirty ass hands into bullet wounds. ancient Indians were describing tiny organisms worsening illness that could travel from person to person before Greece and Rome even started theorizing that some illnesses could be transmitted
also, not related to germ theory, but during the golden age of Islam, they developed an early version of surgery on the cornea. as in the fucking eye. and they were successful
and what have white people contributed exactly?
please go research the golden age of Islamic academia. so many of us wouldn't be alive today if not for their discoveries
people ask sometimes how I can be proud to be Muslim. this is just one of many reasons
some sources to get you started:
but keep in mind, it wasn't just science and medicine! we contributed to literature and philosophy and mathematics and political theory and more!
maybe show us some damn respect

The Autopsy of Jane Doe still gives me some chills whenever I think about it. I watched gameplays of The Mortuary Assistant bc I thought it would have the same vibes but no. Mortuary Assistant's lighting is too dark while Autopsy of Jane Doe is ... unnaturally bright. The dissection scenes are bathed with fluorescent white light of an empty hospital. It's eerie and cold. The cult reveal was also not scary like a jumpscare does, but it's quiet and methodical that it just makes my skin crawl.
There's also, you guessed it, a scene where the dead bodies come alive. But instead of dramatic slammings of the shelf doors, the bodies are just. Gone. And that's scarier.
I think what makes this movie stands out to me is the quietness. There's not much dialogue or noises up until the climax, which keeps up the tension very well
Since we have horror people here:
What is the scariest movie/series you have seen (not as a little kid)?
Like I watch lot of horror so i am pretty used to it and it is hard to get me actually scared with movies. I think the latest movie that did scare me was Longlegs
Didnt really love it as a story but that hoe was scary damn. It is rare for movie to creep me out in a "something primal is telling me this is fucked up" way and that movie did do that
(Also I do have nightmares of Alien movie time to time and it is very tense but its not the same "oh im gonna die" reaction)
(Rest is me talking about my relationship with horror and I just realized thats not even an answer for my own question but not going to erase all that)
Usually short movies make me more scared since they dont give you any extra time. Lile Weapons trailer scared me a lot more than the movie did (BUT THE MOVIE WAS SO GOOOD IF U LIKE HORROR THATS A GOOD WATCH tho it doesnt really have the same vibe as the trailer)
I dont really watch horror to be scared, I just like the genre and how you can handle real life topics with it
