A Memoir: Province

“The morning” 

 If I could live there for the rest of my life, I would.

The aroma of the sea and the chirps of birds always gets me. Whenever I wake up in my province, everything pauses. It makes me feel like nothing's impossible. I love that my cat is there with me every morning to walk with me on the shore. I love to see myself within the trees near my house and play with the swing my father had created when I was 7, The trees that were passed down like poems and folklore. I would often look back at the things that I did when I was a kid in this town. I look around and realize everything is rapidly changing, that nothing will stay the same.

I sipped my favorite coffee and wandered about everything in my life and reflected back on my decisions as to why I am who I am now. I wondered about the people that stayed and who left. The morning sun, the sand in my sandals, the birds humming, and the tall trees really does affect my mood. My cat found me and I let her sit with me in the hammock I'm sitting in. I look at her and think that she is the best thing that has happened to me all my life.

I reached for her to pet her hair and she seems to like the idea of me stroking her fuzzy skin. The sky started to gray out and it was signaling everyone to go back to their own homes since it's gonna rain. I carried misty, my cat and brought her with me to go back inside and watch the water fall down the dark sky. I put on my favorite album and started listening while again reminiscing the things I miss the most.

Singer: Prompt

OK, get ready girls! we'll be the next performer after this group finish!! hurry up and settle down!! zasianna released a very deep sign after hearing the news. she and the other girls were very nervous as they will be the next performer. they were all settled in a circle, no one talking as they all feel tension in the room with their thoughts, as the tension rises the group leader celestia was quick to handle the situation and calm everyone down, she said encouraging words followed by quotes to motivate each other to give it all.

they've been practicing for so long, longing for this moment, they wanted this, all of their hard work shouldn't go up to waste with sweats and energy being sacrificed everyday. they were now currently waiting for the first performers to finish as zassiana sat infront of athena.

zassiana never liked Athena, or even respect her atleast, athena would always nsg and complain about works and positioning whenever they practice for their dance, and as of singing athena will always ask to cover more lines despite getting alot of lines already she is very mean and self centered. 

all of them tensed up after hearing a very high adlib from their opponent's performance " should i also do an adlib" athena spoke as the others were taken a back since they're aware of Athena's range. the other members kept on convincing her not to do it but yet she insisted, on the other side zassiana took it as joke and laugh it's way out of the situation.

"girls line up, you're next" 

 that was their signal, they immediately stopd up and went through the stage to perform. everything was going according to plan and everyone was enjoying the performance while giving their best, not until midway the performance athena did the adlib, unfortunately it was so sudden that the other members got shocked and what's more embarrassing was when her voiced cracked because the note she did was to high. thd crows went silent and you can see the judges face frown at surprise looking at them as if there was a clown cracking up a joke.

  they ended up losing after the performance, zasianna felt anger rush up to her but what can she do? she can't turn back time and fix the ugly mistake athena made on stage. walking under the moon on her way to her house, zassiana can't help but feel second hand embarrassment whenever she recalls athena's cracking voice, it was hunting her. once she got into her house she can't help but imagined how athena would feel if the others criticized her for that. she imagined being in athena's shoes as she shows sympathy, feeling sorry for Athena's situation right now. she can't help but feel upset because of losing but she also feels sorry for athena. "it's her fault, yet if i was in her position right now i would've died in embarrassment " with that, she settled on her bed closing her eyes as she hopes for the team to win next time as she says goodnight.

Me: Autobiography

                                                Life is kinda fun.

I was born in Quezon City, I’m a very jolly, corny, shy person, but if you really know me I’m a very loud and do anything stupid just to make you laugh.

I have one brother and as a first born, life is not easy for me, there are so many problems that I need to control, that I need to handle as an older sister. 

As time goes by, I just realize that I don’t know myself, there are so many questions in my head, there are so many ‘what if’s’ ‘Who am I?’  ‘Is this really me?’ ‘Did I need to change, for people to accept me?’. Some questions that until now I failed to answer.

When I was in grade school people call me some names, most of them is bad and hurtful words, I can’t defend myself because all of them is saying the truth and it’s all about my gender, because when I was in grade school I act and talk like a boy, so in short I was boyish that time, I admit that it gives me pressure and start to ask myself, if I was really a girl or a boy, and because of that pressure, I continue to be boyish until highschool even that I don’t want it.

When I was in highschool, I always ask myself, because suddenly I started liking girls and it affects my mental health because I only know that it’s not right for me to like women and I think that time my parents will get mad if I continue to liking girls, I didn’t commit to tell them that I’m not straight and I’m a bisexual, the reason why, because I know that my parents will be mad will get disappointed and will never be proud of me anymore, and until now I don’t have a guts to tell them and I will never say anything about my gender identity to them, I don’t want to ruin this happiness just because of my gender.

Pandemic started. I'm so insecure about how I look, what my body shape looks like. Shortly I experienced being bullied, because of my physical appearance, mid-pandemic I started to find my worth. I realized that I don’t wanna be just like this, I start to love myself, focus on my goals. One of my goals is to be fit and healthy, because ever since I was insecure about my body, it was a long journey but with the help of my friends, they helped me to gain my confidence.

I started to do some exercises and do workout everyday, at first it’s not easy because their so many obstacle, many problems that I need to fix before myself, but even though I have so many problems, I manage to lose some weight and get my dream body , I realize that putting yourself first is the best decision that you will make and having a caring and loving friends is the best feeling ever.

Biography of a famous person: Elon Musk

This is a biography of Elon Musk. He was born in Pretoria South Africa on June 28,1971, his father’s name was Errol Musk, his father was a british electrical engineer and mother was a british canadian model, when they divorced in 1980, Elon stayed mainly with his father in south africa.

A few years later, he began teaching himself computer programming and sold his first video game at the age of 12. For his undergraduate education, he attended Queen's University in Kingston, He eventually transferred to the University of Pennsylvania, earning dual degrees in Physics and Economics.

He moved to California to attend Stanford for a PhD in applied physics in 1995 but quit within a few of days to pursue his own interest in avenues of technology and entrepreneurship. Later that year, he worked with his brother Kimbal Musk, after the successful sale of ‘Zip2′, Musk went straight into his next venture, an online financial service called ‘X.com’.

Shortly after the company acquired a money transfer service called ‘PayPal’ through a mergen, they began to focus their efforts exclusively on building this internet Payment service. The success of PayPal led Musk to sell his stock in the company to ‘ebay’ for $165million.

Elon Musk has married thrice and twice to the same woman, and they have six children together. In 2002, he invested millions in his third company, Space Exploration Technologies or just SpaceX.

Within seven years, the company had designed the ‘Falcon’ line of space launch vehicles and the ‘Dragon’ line of multi-purpose spacecraft and was making history with their privately funded innovation. SpaceX received contracts from NASA to create a launch craft to deliver cargo to the ‘International Space Station’. 

Tesla Motors was founded with the mission of designing and building electric cars. Musk invested in the company and became its chairman in 2004. 

A year after its inception, taking on an active role in the design of the Roadster, which won the Global Green award. After that he went on to become the CRO and product architect of the company. A role he holds until today

After designing the initial concept for ‘SolarCity’ Musk remains its biggest shareholder. Today, it is the second largest provider of solar energy in the United States,with a focus on combating global warming. Musk announced revolutionary plans for a high speed travel technology that in theory could replace airplane travel as a faster and cheaper option.

He has envisioned a high speed transportation system known as the Hyperloop. It incorporates reduced pressure tubes in which pressurized capsules ride on air bearings driven by linear induction motors and their compressors.

Elon Musk was briefly in a relationship with American actress Amber Heard in 2016 but the couple split owing to their conflicting schedules. In July 2017, he announced that the first successful test run of the hyperloop had been done in Nevada.

Musk received the 2006 ‘Global Green’ product design award for this vehicle, presented by Mikhail Gorbachev.

Diner

“Every day is summertime, Every day is summertime with you” A song plays in the jukebox that made their heads bop a little bit, making Logan smile a little bit as well. 

A woman that seemed to be the waitress of the diner had approach the two young man to take their orders “Welcome to Grandma’s Suzie's Diner, What a lovely morning, boys isn’t it?” The waitress that looked like their age said with a genuine smile on her face. 

“What can I get for you two this Saturday morning?” she added, not removing the smile she’s wearing. To which Elliot replied with confidence “I’ll have your ‘Saturday Morning Breakfast Special’ Sooofiaaa–”  which made the waitress chuckle a little bit when he tried to read her name tag. Sofia then looked at Logan to take his order but then he was stuttering, a little nervous, and stiff for whatever reason he had which made Elliot trying to hide his laugh due to his second hand embarrassment and for entertainment as well. 

The waitress only managed to blush and took his orders before saying she’ll be back in a few with their orders. Right after she did, Elliot decided to stir some teasing They both handed out their payments and started eating. They both sipped their coffee and looked at the people going on about their lives, going wherever they needed to be, just like them. 

 “You definitely like her, don't you?” Elliot looked at Logan with a teasing look. “There’s no shame in that, brotha” he added with a fake accent ‘causing them to laugh at the terrible takeaway “I really don’t, you’re just overthinking things, i was just nervous” Logan replied while looking at his coffee he’s drinking. He never ordered a meal since he already ate before heading out. “Mhmmm, whatever you say. boss.” was the only response Elliot gave, faking his rolling eyes, then continued to devour the eggs, pancakes that he ordered to fill his stomach. 

 They talked about a lot of things that strengthen their bond even more. In the short time that they had together, they already found the friendship they might be looking for, in a while. The comfort and the laughs they were already making, was enough to prove they will get along. After finishing their meal, Logan was surprised when Elliot got up and went to the jukebox and played a song. It was when he pulled Logan. Logan was hesitant, shaking his head knowing he was never a fan of crowds, and would often avoid them. “You’ll be fine, trust me” Elliot mouthed, giving the reassurance Logan needed. He smiled shyly and held Elliots hand to join him. 

 They danced to a song from the 50s to which others had enjoyed and decided to join in. Everyone was dancing ‘round the diner and having the time of their lives. Which made Logan extra smiley and made him dance even more. People were tapping their feet, they were laughing, they were so happy to feel themselves again, especially Logan. It's never always that he’d get up to a public place and dance like nobody’s watching. He felt seen, but in a good way. The feelings all new, but to him he just thought to himself “Now I do Believe everything has its first”
