So I was re-watching the last episode of Clash of Red and Black just to see a heart-broken Jodie cry over the death of her ex. The song played in the background is a instrumental version of Ai wa itsumo which I then listened to on endless loop until I got curious about the meaning.

Don’t judge me, I don’t understand anything other than “Ai wa” and “anata”, but I found a translation right here. I hope it’s a correct translation.

It’s only the instrumental version playing when Jodie remembers some moments with Shuu and mourns his death, but can we still appreciate that, apparently, this song is about … love? Idk is this about endless love? Or how painful love is? (I’m waaay too bad at interpreting).

Either way, I’ll just let this sink in for tonight. (I know this hasn’t much to do with the Manga, but let me still just enjoy this bitter-sweet pain for tonight, I need it).
