I have no where else i can freely post this. So I'm just gonna leave it here. If you know me at all you know i am married to a wonderful person. My husband is transgender. Now in the beguning of the year me and my mom went in together to surprise Danny with a legal name change. Fast forward to now. We are looking for a place to live. A home of our own. We keep being denied because Danny wasnt always Danny. Because we are not a "normal" couple. Because we dont fit in to the community we live in. The first time it happened it felt like a punch in the face. Now when we go to look at a place i open with "Danny used to be -deadname-. I dont want you being confused in the background check." And i EXPECT to be turned away, or mocked, or them being disgusted. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO EXPECT THIS! My husband is the most beautiful soul i have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He deserves better then this.

fake fic title: “feathers and flying”

“I changed my mind, I don’t wanna do this.”

Vax laughed softly with his arms loosely around your waist. “Come on, don’t tell me we hiked all the way up here for nothing.”

Looking over the cliff you both had walked to, you wondered what state of mind you’d been in to agree to this. It’d been just a few weeks since he’d gotten his wings from the Raven Queen and he had been begging you to let him show you how it felt to fly so freely. Like a fool, you’d agreed.

You trusted Vax wholeheartedly, there was no doubt about that. However…the goddess of the dead? Slightly less trust.

“I’ll have a hold on you the whole time, love,” he murmured, kissing your cheek in an attempt to sway you.

“Fine,” you grumbled. “But you better not do anything stupid.”

His wings appearing caused you to jump in surprise, the black feathers appearing far softer than you imagined they would. His arms tightened around you and you knew that was your cue to hold onto him as well.

“Ready?”

“I suppose so…”

Vax smiled at you before placing a kiss against your lips and turning so his back is to the cliff. Then, without much ceremony, he fell backwards, taking you with him, screaming. When he flicked his wings out fully, the air lifted the both of you up, and he soared.

That time, you were left speechless by the view and feeling of just flying. Vax laughed to himself softly, watching as you took everything in with a slow spreading grin.

He knew you’d like flying.
