What is love and legends?

Love & Legends is a defunct dating sim/otome game about a bisexual woman from Chicago who get isekaied into a fantasy world, only she looks identical to the dead evil queen.

The queen's old followers want to use her to bring the queen back and reclaim power, which leaves the original heroes who defeated her fighting to protect the main character, eventually learning to trust and love her.

There are 7 love interests, notable for having 2 female routes with as much or even more effort put into them as the male routes. The MC is bisexual in every route, even if she's romancing a male character, and there's a lot of effort to make the new world casually LGBT+

Originally, the game was on a platform called Lovestruck along with many other dating sims, but in 2022, it all shut down and there's now no way to play it.

I was part of the Lovestruck Salvation Project which recorded, edited, and uploaded every episode of every route and game onto youtube for preservation, but that still left the games as videos you couldn't interact with.

So, as practice for myself making a visual novel, I decided to redesign the characters and recreate it in renpy. I wanted to test myself by drawing every sprite, all the UI, and additional promotional images, on top of implementing it into a game.
