I've just read the first chapter of adoration and I haven't read a fanfic in awhile that has grasped e so much in the first chapter. It was very well written and a lovely storyline to it so far! do you think the bts fandom is dying?

i'm not sure if you mean army as a whole or just the writing community 😭

army as a whole no, i think we're Boomin' as a fandom

writing community...i think there's a big lack of writer to reader ratio. there's a lot of people READING and unfortunately there's a lot of readers who end up making writers feel bad. like i wasn't one who minded update asks or things like that, i never let it affect my mental health because i didn't think it was...that deep? i was here to have a good time and i didn't let that be ruined. but other writers do have that problem and end up losing motivation to write and stuff despite begging their readers to stop asking.

there's also the problem of writers being run off of the platform. whether that be from cancel culture, lack of interaction, policing writers, or because of hate from readers. so i think these things are negatively affecting the bts writing community and dwindling down an already short supply of writers.

people police writers really bad on here and there's a terrible epidemic of drama and toxicity between both writers and writers and their readers. i think, personally, this is something that could, no doubt, deter people from wanting to really get involved in the writing community.

along with the stupid "big blog vs. small blog" thing that just breeds even more toxicity and anger between writers. writers who perceive another blog as "big" feel it's unfair to them as they feel they're a "smaller" blog and don't get enough interaction or attention. it's something that really divides the writing community for sure.

now, other people's opinions on this could be quite different from mine!! this is just my perspective on things i've noticed wrong about tumblr !

so at the end of the day, i guess it depends how you look at it? i think there's a lot of writers but there's more readers and there's a lot of things wrong in terms of relationships between each other for both authors and readers.
