I haven't been so frustrated reading AKYONA in a while. I hate Kyseook out the bottom of my heart, he is so conniving and has been plotting this from the start. I hope they do something the dragons and Hak because this is unacceptable, using Yona for their own convenience is unforgivable. I'm getting tired of Soowon his bs. He is not innocent in this.

THESE BROTHERS AND THEIR LITTLE CONVERSATIONS MAKE ME LOVE THEM EVEN MORE.

Four dragons believing the thunder beast will beat them makes me chuckle cause they are so cute. They refuse to fight their mister.

SECOND SCENE I LOVED:

Hak being recognised as their captain, getting the respect he ones received back. He is no more a fugitive, he is not a criminal, he is back to his previous statute.

Then you have the general realising just how STRONG HAK's charisma and power is. He charmed the fire tribe and has them calling out for him and princess Yona. Of course Kyesook is afraid, their power lays in them being there for their people and fighting until the end.

Hak is back and he will find his princess.

BEST SCENES OF THIS CHAPTER.

We stan an incredible queen, she didn't give up. She stood up, picked up a sword and protected herself and this is why Yona is the best protagonist of all time. She has grown up, used the strength inside her and lives on for her people, for her friends who wait for her.

I'm in love.

He hears Yona is okay and finally gets to relax and even cracks a smile before collapsing in the arms of someone he trusts.

Yoon is truly the mother of the group.

Our boys sacrifice for Yoon is just beautiful 😭😭😭. We finally got them to stop fighting and have this heartwarming hug.

Hak battling the king was amazing but this little streaks of jealousy make me laugh the whole time.

Their verbal fight is so ridiculous I can't deal with these men.

How beautiful would this scene be in anime version? His eyes.... I need season 2 and 3 and 4 of this manga. Come on people. Is there a petition we can sign or something.... so many scenes I need to see played out.

You know what I like about this auteur, the subtle hints of how Hak sees Yona as a full individual and not just as a woman by his side. I bet even if she wasn't a princess he would still see her as someone who deserves to be respected and not treated like some trophee like we see this King trying to do.

He doesn't let people call her his or theirs, not because he doesn't want to be with her. No, it's because she is not a thing to call yours. She is a human being, she is her own owner not something to pass around.

Then we have the mention of how Hak calls her princess. Remember all the way back to the beginning of the story, I can't remember when but she asked people to call her Yona and not princess EXCEPT for Hak. He is the only one allowed to. The King realises what is happening. Thunder beast is Yona's person, Yona is Hak's person.

Aand the King needs to back the f.... off and give our Yona and our dragons back.

When Hak can't hear a thing but the moment Yona is mentioned, he snaps out of it.

This scene was the comic relief I needed form the intense fighting.

She is with him.

She is his drive.

She is his reason to stand up and fight.

He rises.

He plans.

He fights.

He defeats.

He reminisces.

His enemies acknowledge his strengths.

They protect him.

We feel his pain.

Hak, thunder beast of Kouka Kingdom, bathed in blood would do anything for his princess and her country.

Hak is a masterpiece!

Kusanagi why? This is not only heartbreaking but also beautiful. Four brothers facing each other and none of them have a choice but to fight. Two for the sake of their princess, their red Dragon and two for the sake of their brother Hak!

No matter what is happening they all are thinking about the one they need to save.

And just at the same time we have Hal thinking about them, in all the confusion and during a fierce battle he realises how much he has been relying on them.

Kusanagi is writing a masterpiece and this little details makes it that.

What I love and admire about Hak is that even the ones who consider him their enemy can't help but admit his skill.

You can't help but admire the thunder beast!!

Remember when Hak gave up the name "Son" and his title as General of the wind tribe to save his people? Mundok refused to accept it and told him he would only accept it if it was an order from his general. Then Hak ordered him and that was his final order and we all felt our heart break.... yeah well I went back and my heart broke again.

Look at Grandpa Mundok shed a tear for his grandson.

Favorite Shoujo manga pairing: HakYona. 

Let me be honest here, I shipped them from episode one till chapter 128. But what kept me from switching pairing is the development of their relationship. At first he was the “annoying” bodyguard in the eyes of Yona, he was in her way, always making fun of her. But he also proves to her HOW FREAKING LOYAL HE IS, by immediately defending her against SooWon and his attackers. He fights for her, takes the fall for her, gives up his name and family, goes through hell for her. Defends her, follows her everywhere, doesn’t even give up on his love when he thinks she hasn’t forgotten about Soowon (spoilers she loves Hak too). He is the ultimate good guy, bragging about his princess when she manages to shoot her arrow! I just can’t express how PERFECT HAK IS. He is pushy and teases her but when she needs space he freaking respects it and just sulks in his own corner like a cute little kid. HAK is PATIENT, was stuck in a one-sided love for almost a decade and still he is THERE. He never gave up! 

OKAY I LOVE HAK! 

Now YONA, Yona is my ultimate female protagonist bias in a shoujo manga. She doesn’t just sit there crying for ages, she moves on and decides to fight from like the first few episode when she was in the water tribe. She could have decided to give up and live as a member of the water tribe with Mundok but no she follows Hak. She starts to get attached to him, she is concerned when he meets Soowon again. She SIDES with HAK. She forgets about Soowon, her father’s killer and decides that HAK is the one who deserves her attention AND I CANT express how much I thank the author for making that decision. We see a more shy Yona around Hak, she is conscious of him. AND NOTHING IS RUSHED! Everything is developing slowly! 

OTP NEEDS TO BE KING AND QUEEN OF KOUKA!
