07/17/20 it's eero's birthday today !! he technically doesn't have a birthday, but he gave himself an honorary one, and decided on today.
i created him as a character early 2014 and drew him for the first time that june. he's a big reason i started drawing in the first place, and he means a lot to me !!

My feelings on the whole 'likes < reblogs' thing with art is that, as an artist, it feels counterintuitive. If I started saying that, it could make people afraid to interact with my art at ALL, cause they might think I'm judging them for seeing my art and not reblogging it. If likes as a concept were completely removed, it wouldnt suddenly inspire someone to reblog my art. They'd just appreciate it quietly, and I'd be none the wiser. A like is someone going 'I see you, I support you, you're doing great!' A reblog is the same thing, except that person would also like it on their blog. It sucks that a piece being seen by a wider audience somewhat relies on reblogs, but it's not everyone else's responsibility to make my art gain traction
