I received inquiries from customers today as usual. I read everything I have learned once again. Today is the end of my co-op. Actually, I haven't filled 150 hours yet, but our travel agency has decided to close for a while because of the severe coronavirus. Also, I got an email from Seneca that no need to go placement because of COVID19. I learned and experienced many things while doing my co-op, but I was so sad to end it so short. It's a pity that I can no longer make phone calls from customers who used to be comfortable and make plane tickets that I can book familiarly. I hope this corona is over soon and no more damage to everyone. Thank you for everything you've done for me. Central Travel Agency!

The boss taught me today. We learned the history of travel agencies and TICO. He also learned more about the basic Saber formations. The boss told me more about the airport code and the city code. It was amazing that all the travel agencies here in Toronto knew each other. After the class, I booked a flight ticket and received inquiries from customers. My boss told me to memorize and review it until the next day of the co-op. So I reviewed it with my friend after the co-op.

Today, I'm going to work with another co-op student. This friend is my best friend and we have worked part-time job together. When we are together, we play like teenagers, but when we work, we focus on work. The reason why I am going to work with this friend from today is that our boss will come back tomorrow to educate us about agency. I work with my friend and got a call from a customer. We also helped each other if they didn't know each other or had difficulties. Also, my manager taught me how to view and organize the invoice today.

Today I received a lot of phone inquiries and called Air Canada because of customer’s flight ticket. My manager was next to me. I was so nervous when I called. At first, I informed the customer's PNR in a phonetic alphabet and asked about the customer's ticket status. At the end, the manager confirmed it with Air Canada employe and finished the call. My manager contacted the airline every time and I was surprised that he made me do it for the first time. I'm so happy to have another new experience. Also today I organized and reviewed the travel packages that customers often travel.

Today was the busiest day I ever worked as a co-op. COVID19 made a lot of calls because of the flight ticket problem. Some people wanted to look for another flight because their flight tickets were canceled, others wanted to cancel their existing flight tickets to avoid going to Korea because of Corona virus, and others wanted to go to Korea because they were worried about their families living in Korea. Some employees of Galleria also came to our travel agency to ask for plane tickets. Also, our manager contacted the airlines a lot because of flight problems. Today seems to be the day I received the most phone calls among the days I worked.

Today I made an advertisement for a central travel agency. I send the prices and dates of the flight to the advertising company and they send back to our company when they finish making the final advertisement. I print this out and put it on our travel agency. As people pass by, they see our ads and get a lot of inquiries. After doing this, I practiced booking a flight ticket again. My manager said, practice a lot, because I will make no mistakes in the actual booking the tickets and make it easier. Of all the things I have learned so far, making advertisements was the most rewarding and fun!

I learned Sabre today. Sabre is an application to book a flight ticket which is similar with Amadaeus that I learned at school before. I learned how to log in to Sabre and how to book a flight ticket. Also, some format that will use often. My manager was very kind and explained it to me in an easy to understand. After the explanation, I practiced booking a flight ticket based on my name. I practiced by changing the date and the travel destination. I also got a call from a customer while I was doing this today. Today was good to learn a new and interesting thing called Sabre.

As soon as I came to work today, my manager gave me a paper with the airport code, city code, and airline code. I searched on the Internet based on this paper and wrote down the answer. After I finished, my manager confirmed whether I wrote it correctly. She marked important or frequently used things for me and told me to memorize them. I wrote, spoke to memorized them repeatedly for hours. In the meantime, I received a call from the customer and delivered it to the manager. I had some time left, so the manager gave me the plane seat rating and codes sheet. I reviewed the papers I received today before the shift was over.

As soon as I came to work today, I learned the NATO Phonetic Alphabet. I learned this in school but I forgot it all because it was a long time ago. I tried to read it and memorize it. Also today, we had a time to find out the Korean airport codes, city codes , Toronto airport codes and city codes. My supervisor gave me paper and time to look for airport codes. While doing these, I received many phone calls. My supervisor told me to memorize what I learned today because it will be most useful while working. Also today, I learned how to use a simple Sabre. Sabre is a site that book airline tickets such as Amadeus, which was taught at school. Today, I learned how to log in to Sabre and look up the airport codes and city codes that I found out earlier. I went home today and read one more thing I learned today. Also, I learned a lot today, so it was a more fun and fruitful day!

*My 1st blog*
Today is my first day of work in my co-op! My co-op placement is Central Travel Agency located in the Galleria supermarket. As soon as I entered, I was assigned a seat with a brief introduction of myself. And, I received a brief introduction of the company and a brief explanation of the rules written in Korean. I was assigned to the afternoon class, and I got a lot of calls in the afternoon, so I got a lot of calls from the first day of work. I don't know anything because it's my first day of work, but I gave it to my manager by writing down the simple reason for calling our company and name and phone number of customers. I was nervous at first because I was excited to receive the first phone call, but I got used to it since I received a lot of phone calls. Therefore, I heard simple company explanation and rules and received many telephone inquiries today. I didn't do much work, but it was a very proud and fun first day of work.
