The Official “I’m Sick of Danse Acting Like He’s Still in the Brotherhood Even Though He Isn’t” Mod List:

Hey! I don’t really know how to start this off, but I made a few mods! Like many others in the fandom, I got really annoyed with Post-Blind Betrayal Danse saying lines like, “with the Brotherhood behind us we’ll never fall,” as we’re being chased down by Brotherhood Knights…. and so on.

I’m fairly new to modding, so the mods I’ve made are pretty simple and straight forward… I’m working on improving them - but for now, they serve their purpose!

On top of that, I’ve compiled a list of other crucial mods that’ll give Danse the time and attention Bethesda never gave him. Please support the other mod authors! They did an amazing job.

Before I start, I should clarify this… these mods are only for PC. I want to export mine to console, but with my busy schedule, it might take a while. So, without further ado, here we go:

- Danse Name Fix by jouleteon (me): A very simple mod that changes Danse’s name from “Paladin Danse” to just “Danse”. If you know your way around the Creation Kit, you can easily do this yourself, but I decided to upload it for people who don’t use it. This mod should be enabled after Blind Betrayal.

- Danse Dialogue Overhaul by zumika: This mod is a must have. It makes changes to Danse’s affinity dialogue (his voice lines if you ask for his thoughts or about your relationship)… it removes his generic Brotherhood dialogue, and there’s two versions: romanced vs. not romanced. I’d strongly recommend reading the mod page itself for more information. This mod should be enabled after Blind Betrayal.

- Danse Idle Comments Fix by jouleteon (me): This mod took me a long time to finish… I spent hours painfully digging through Danse’s idle dialogue, and removing anything that explicitly stated he was in the Brotherhood. And there were a LOT of voice lines. This includes the removal of numerous locational comments, battle cries, and so on… more information is on the mod page itself. This mod should be enabled after Blind Betrayal.

- Fix for Paladin Danse Catatonic in End Game by Ralluwen: This mod is for anyone who ended up destroying the Prydwen. Danse, in the vanilla game, completely glitches out and becomes unresponsive should you do this. This mod fixes it! More information can be found on the mod page itself.

- No Brotherhood Hostility for Danse by 00015169: This mod is for those who find it unrealistic that the Brotherhood would immediately recognize Danse, who they think is dead, from miles away on a vertibird. Essentially, it removes Danse’s hostility to the Brotherhood following Blind Betrayal. More information can be found on the mod page itself.

- Danse GTFO Power Armor by johndoebowler: It does what it says on the tin… it gets Danse out of his power armor. I’m adding this mod to the list, because with it, you can easily get Danse out of his Brotherhood uniform, and into something else. More information on the mod page, of course.

IMPORTANT: With these mods enabled, you will quickly notice a change in Danse’s behavior. However, there is one issue… none of these mods alter his swap out lines with other companions. They also fail to alter any of his conversation interjections. This, admittedly, is mostly due to my inexperience… no other mods that I know of do this, so I’m working on one at the moment. My current attempts at fixing this have ended pretty buggy, though. I’ll update this list should I ever find a suitable solution.

Do be careful with your load order! None of these mods should conflict, but you know, just in case…

i have literally no understanding of why computers work. how the fuck are a bunch of ones and zeroes which represent basically an on/off switch, going 2 translate into Video Games. thats like if i just flickered the lights in my bedroom real fast in a specific order and then suddenly i was playing skyrim.
