Proud Father - Loved Son

Jayden, words can’t express how much I love you buddy. I really do think the world of you. I know we butt heads sometimes and from time to time life gets hectic and rocky. Always know that no matter how crazy life gets, you will always have a home with me and a place by my side. You are my thinker, my contemplator, my musician, my scientist. You are a lover of God, a fighter, and a dreamer. I can’t stand being away from you! It really does break my heart.

I can’t even fathom how you are able to maintain straight A’s! That really is incredible. And despite how much you dislike doing virtual school this year...you have an A in that too. I am so proud of you! Your teachers always say that you breeze through their classes. Please don’t ever let how well you exceed in academics make you proud and stuck up. Remember that it is a gift from God, use it to help others and please stay humble! If you do this, you will go far in life and have many friends that will always have your back.

Remember that I will always be here for you, through thick and thin. Remember that I will always fight to protect you, that I will always do what is best for you (whether you agree at the moment or not), remember that I am not perfect either, but I will continually try and do better and better for you. And no matter what, please remember that you can always come to me with anything, that I will always listen, and that you are an exceptional incredible child with potential to change the world!

Baby Dedication and Makyla NEHS

This was an awesome week in the Brown family. Makyla, we are so proud that you were inducted in the National Elementary Honor Society! You are doing an amazing job at school. I loved hearing about you making Math Bowl this week! Crystal called me and was so excited for you!

Jayden, I loved getting this picture of you and Papa!

We got to see Caydance sit in the high chair for the first time. Makyla thank you so much for helping me put it together!

We celebrated our decision to dedicate Caydance to the Lord this Sunday at Citypointe Church. We loved having so many of our family there for her!

I am so proud of all 3 of my amazing children and everyday I pray that God will continue to do amazing things in your lives! I love you guys!

8 months old

Time flies baby girl. I can’t believe how big you have gotten already. You are so happy all the time. It really is infectious. I hope you take that joy with you your whole life, never let anyone steal that from you!

You brother and sister love you so much and you sure love them. I can’t remember what life was like without you. It seems like you have been here forever.

I want you to know just how special you are to me. I love being able to keep you at home everyday. You love hearing me sing and play guitar to you. You love listening to me and Uncle Edgar (tio) practice. I know with all of this worship music you hear everyday that you are going to grow up praising God!

We love you baby girl! You are our little sunshine!

Makyla Sunset

Always by my side.....you definitely are “Daddy’s girl”. 

You sure make me smile. I love your personality and how you always look for the bright side of things. Even in our conference with your teacher yesterday she said your sense of humor is infectious! I love how we can just hang out together and laugh and play! It warms my heart how you always ask to ride in my truck with me around town to just talk and laugh. And you especially love hanging out in the studio, singing and dancing. Thanks for all the help by the way!

As you are getting older I find myself competing for time with you because of how much you like hanging out with Crystal! I can’t complain though, she sure does love you! She is always bragging about you!

Did I mention what an amazing BIG sister you are. You are SO much help with Caydance! She sure does love her “Sissy”.

My “kooky”, don’t ever stop shining! Because you will always be a star! Daddy loves you and is so proud of you!

Jayden Elijah

From the moment I knew you were coming in to this world I was overwhelmed with joy! I would day dream of what it would look like having a little side kick...a “mini me” running around! You truly are my side kick! I want you to know how much happiness you bring me!

I can’t believe how grown up you are becoming! And to think that you are only 11 years old!!!!! I love taking you to work with me and being able to spend that time with you. You may not appreciate it now, but I know one day you will look back and cherish these memories.

You have become an amazing big brother to both of your sisters. The love that you have for them is evident to anyone that knows you!

I am so proud of you working hard on your school work and the pride you have in doing a good job! Your grades speak for themselves as well as your hard work with virtual school! 

And to think! Our little boy is in middle school now!!! NOOOOOO!!!!

You are greatly loved Jayden! Always remember that!

Welcome Caydance Grace

My little Caydance Grace. Today is Sunday morning and Daddy is sitting here in the hospital writing this, waiting for them to let you, me, and Mommy go home. You were born Friday night, only 2 days ago. Can you believe that!? You were only 5 pounds 12 ounces, itty bitty.

I was so so so so very excited to welcome you in to this world! You were very calm. After you were born you laid on your Mommy for 2 hours before they let us go in to our next room. Your Momma sure loves you very much! Daddy too! Lot’s of people cam to welcome you in to this world! So many! You have a very BIG family full of love.

Your brother Jayden, and sister Makyla were very excited to come and meet you! They love you so much, both of them kept saying, “you are so beautiful”. 

Here are pictures of them holding you for the very first time! They didn’t want to let you go!

If you are wondering why your big sister’s face is painted....she went to a dance party at school this afternoon. Did you know that your Mommy is even a teacher at her school. You sure will have a great kick start to your education with such a smart and amazing Mommy to get you ready for school!

Your brother kept saying how perfect you were. You are awful lucky to have a big brother to look after you and protect you through life! He said he wants to make sure to watch ALL the Star Wars movies with you....so you can love it like your brother and Daddy. Your brother Jayden also said he wants to give you Chinese food and sushi while you are still young so you love it like your family....I am positive you will!

When it was time to pack up and go to your next room...your sister was so eager to help out. She took you on your very first stroller ride!

I want you to know how perfect Daddy thinks you are and how much I love you! I swear you had my heart from the first moment I saw you. I walked right up to you while they were getting you ready (as soon as you were born) and you just stared in to my eyes to listen to my voice. You are such a sweet little angel. 

I can’t wait to hold your hand through this wonderful life that God has given you. You are such a blessing to us and I pray that you will bless the world. That you will be a messenger of God’s grace and love, that you will spread the gospel, and that you always love with all of your heart, no matter what! We love you Caydence Grace. Daddy can’t wait to take you home later today!

My Gayle

Gayle. I have to start this blog out by giving you all of my love. God said that if we love our wives like Christ loved the church then everything else in our lives will fall in to place. You are my best friend, my helper and my Queen. To everyone else you are Crystal….but to me you will always be my sweet Gayle. 

I knew from the first time I saw you that you were very special. That I would pursue you. That you were an incredible woman! I remember how excited I was to go to Orlando during pre-season and steal a picture with you. I even brought my Dad to this game. I was pretty nervous to talk to you, because this was the first time any of your friends got to see me as well.

Shana Mitchell is the one that made everything happen between us….going to Rainbow River on our first date, bbq’s at their house, and the best House Of Blues weekend with you where I KNEW you were the woman for me!

Remember going to Momma’s and having so much fun. We had a BLAST that day, even cutting up with Kelsie in the Kitchen and heading to the beach!

What stole my heart for good was how sweet you were to the kiddos. Taking our first trip to Blairsville together and having picnics at Vogal Park.

No one can deny how much this little girl looks up to you and especially how much she loves you!

I knew I knew I knew I had to make you my wife. So…..with your Daddy’s permission, I asked you for forever. You sad yes!!!!!!!!

The way we love each other can not possibly be expressed in words!

And there is the day we became one…..forever started this day

September 6th, 2015

We were now a family of four, but we both knew that we wanted more. There is nothing more amazing then experiencing making brand new life. You were born to be a Mom! So we tried for several months, praying that God would provide. Then we got the amazing news…..God always comes through!

We couldnt wait to find out what we were having. Boy or girl? Pink or blue? You got your little girl!!!!! (even though now we know she is a daddy’s girl)

I swear that you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my life. You glowed while pregnant and shined as bright as the sun!

Mommy is a dancer and daddy is a singer…..that’s how we picked the name “Caydance”

Intro

My name is Cliff Brown.... I am a man of God...a husband to an amazing woman....and a Father. Yes, in that order. Without trusting and following Christ, families fall apart, and I will fight tooth and nail for mine. So I have to trust Christ, that he knows what I need, he knows best, and his plan his final. That love comes from him and him alone. So....if we are to love....we are to trust that he will provide us with the love and strength we need to take care of each other.

This blog is for you guys. Gayle, Jayden, Makyla, and sweet Caydance.....and who knows maybe more down the road. But.....this is just for you guys. One day when I am gone, you will gather strength by reading these letters to you. That you will find my heart, love, and maybe some wisdom. That you will always know how much I love you and how deep that love is! 

I promise..... I will always love you all, cherish, protect, guide, provide, admire, council, spoil, and be in awe of you guys. And I promise I will never leave, give up on, forsake, or quit on any of you. God gave you all to me, and I will always dedicate my life’s work to the Lord.... to always point you all back to HIM.
