How often do you play with your children? Or do you just watch them as they play? When was the last time you let go and played pretend with them? Remember that our presence is the greatest evangelization. The Love of God the Father and the Blessed Mother are seen through us! Though we may not think so, it's true. Think about that next time you just want to relax but your child wants you to play with them. https://www.instagram.com/p/BxLWFTohyMu/?igshid=2qxvvpi8e5z1

For such a long time, even before marriage, there was never a real sense of readiness for Mass. Except some of the times where we would independently go during our discernment process outside of our family where there would be a spiritual preparation for Mass. — Most times we get to Mass just when it's about to begin or even a little after. Tardy because of whatever reason. Was there a genuine preparedness for Mass? Most likely than not. But we've recognized the huge difference between actual preparation for Mass and haste preparation. And we're not talking about getting dressed preparation, we're talking about stepping into an actual spiritual preparation for the Holy Mass. Preparing your soul for that encounter with your Lord and Savior, pleading to the Almighty Father with the priest to accept your prayers, and then, becoming one with Christ Jesus in the Eucharist. — We're all guilty of not preparing well for the Sacred Liturgy and of not sacrificing for Him, the very reason we even strive to go to Mass. Take some time the day before, on Saturdays to start getting ready for Mass on Sunday. Read the readings, the specific Sunday prayers, to truly prepare for Mass. — We're taking it up a notch and we invite you, families, to do the same! — How do you prepare for Sunday Mass? https://www.instagram.com/p/BwyOVheBIMn/?igshid=1k25kbpthznya

Blessed #PalmSunday, families! — Let us be mindful of the Lord's Passion this #HolyWeek, especially how it affects our marriages! — You've always heard it said that communication is the most crucial and most important quality in a marriage. If there is no frequent channel of communication, trust and believe that your relationship will begin to rot and turn bitter over time. - That's where the Examination of Conscience for couples comes in. It opens up not only communication, but a virtuous means of working with God's grace to heal, develop, strengthen, etc, your marriage. - We cannot emphasize enough how implementing this has helped out our marriage. It wasn't always easy but it became very fruitful. Bad habits that didn't help each other to grow with God and with each other began to change into virtues. Recognizing each other's role as husband and wife, father and mother were surfacing and being revealed and how fruitful it has been! - Choose a day that you each will stick to, discipline yourselves to stick to it. It also doesn't have to be weekly, it could be bi-weekly, but just like with confession, the more frequent, the better God's grace will actively work in your lives and marriage. - When are you going to start??? - Comment below! https://www.instagram.com/p/BwQXpQxhukV/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1pcjiaf6xin9z

It's unfortunate how many of us as parents default to this room as soon as we step into the parish. #CryRoom — As parents, most of us have been in this room during Mass. We hope and pray that we didn't have to, but see, we seem to have given Satan the victory, at a certain level, to not go into the main church at all as a family. We default splitting up sometimes to go into the cry room simply because we have decided to not take up the cross to teach our children the value and virtue of silence. Is it always easy? Hardly ever. But is it attainable? YES. VERY. — What makes it even more of a difficulty is to hear and see priests, those who are supposed to be our shepherds and leaders, tell parents not to bring their children into the main church at all. They want utter and complete silence. They also default them to go into the cry room if they have children that are under a certain age. They become like the disciples and apostles who were stopping the children from coming to the Lord. We all know what ended up happening! But thankfully, I've heard and seen priests, personally tell parents to sit in the very front of the pews so the children can see all that is going on. They don't want them to even think of stepping into in the cry room unless they've first tried being in the main church. — I challenge you, mom and dad, to take up this cross and carry it. Go through the 'passion' of teaching your children the very fruitful practice of silence. It's needed. And they'll thank you for it!!! Remember that we bear the responsibility of forming the next generation to be virtuous and have a heart after Christ and Our Lady. So, let's encourage each to not go into the cry room until we've actually tried to sit in the main church more than a couple of times. 🙏🏽 https://www.instagram.com/p/Bvrtrj-n7xa/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1td1h0dznu7e3

A soul that does not know silence will never know the voice of God. — We can't sress enough how as a couple, you must familiarize yourselves with silence and teach your children this gem of the spiritual life. — Is there ever silence in your home? Be honest with yourselves. During the day is there any silence? And we're not talking about nap time type of silence heh. Is there an almost feels like being at church type of silence? — Recognize, families, that silence is golden. And there's an obvious difference between prayerful and mischievous silence 😅😜 — The main reason why many of us refuse to practice or implement silence in our walk with Christ is because the Holy Spirit begins to speak and begins to expose who we really are. And many of us, truth be told, are not ready to face that depth of reality. We are sinners. Sinners who are broken, sinners who are wounded, sinners in need of lots of healing and repairing. — Take some time to get to know what being skin silence means and watch how your spiritual life will begin to flourish. https://www.instagram.com/p/BvnghRzne66/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=a16vmktotpt1

How many times do we impulsively say something? ‐ We are in the moment, filled with anger, fear, annoyance, etc. And we say something we wouldn't necessary say ending up hurting those we love most. ‐ Prudence is a most neglected virtue and almost never known when to use it. But you will see that those who practice silence, most likely practice prudence in one way or another. ‐ Continuing from yesterday, how much time do you dedicate to your phone that you can't dedicate to prayer in silence? How often do we endlessly and vainly scroll through social media, then are hit with a 'I did it yet again, when I could've been praying'. - Silence helps you to conquer many vices. As well as confession does. - Being silent about the wrong things could hurt us spiritually and mislead many souls. Our Lady has mentioned that the path to Hell is paved with the skulls of bishops and priests. That is a scary reality. But prudence helps us to recognize when to speak and when not to. - Practice the 3 P's: PATIENCE. PRAYER. PRUDENCE. We'll break that down soon enough. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bvk6I7wnwpz/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=wxzl5g3w9hf8

Distractions are all around us and the Enemy will use it to his advantage. Especially when it comes to our soul. — Reading a book by a saint or about a saint has its benefits in the long run. Especially with our children. We're so easy to put on the phone and put on Baby Shark or any other random video to keep them distracted while we do our own thing, but when do we ever sit down and actually read with them, teach them about the saints, have their minds and ultimately, their imaginations be filled with holy thoughts that will then help them make decisions that will help them grow in virtue and holiness. — We challenge you, dear parents and families, to take up a book by a saint or about a saint, or start with the parables from Scripture and read as a couple and as a family and watch your family thrive in Love, Grace, and Mercy. https://www.instagram.com/p/BvViMk5HnSc/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=r7nfktyrv0di

Who wouldn't listen to a professional in his own field? We all do it for good reason! — And how much more is it worth it to listen to the saints?! Those who lived just like us, some worse than us and then opened their hearts to Christ and the Blessed Mother and became such great teachers and vessels of the Lord and His Love, Grace, Mercy, and Wisdom. — This week we will be diving into the importance of spiritual reading, it's long-term benefits, and the graces one receives through reading the lives of the saints! — — #Catholic #Lent #CatholicInstagram #Cuaresma #HolyMarriages #HolyFamilies #Hungry4Holiness #HolyMatrimony #Holy #Marriage  #Instagood #Instaphotos #Instapray #Instagreat #Praying #PrayingForFamilies #PrayingCouples #Pray #CatholicHelpmate #LentenHelpmate #BibleVerse #Catechism #Love #Couple #Photooftheday #Saints #Saint https://www.instagram.com/p/BvLCHAinEhR/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1e1kkezdr1kv7

We have the biggest responsibility and privilege on this Earth as parents. We collaborate with God to create these souls (which is why sex only in blessed marriage is EXCLUSIVE, but more on that at another time) and are given the task to help them get to Heaven. Which is why prayer is of utmost importance as a family and as couples. — This week, we will be challenging you to make time for spiritual reading and how it helps in your marriage and family. — We truly hope these are beneficial to your souls to those whom are following along with us! Have a blessed Day of the Lord! — Pictured is @underourladysmantle 's family and it is an encouraging picture to see her husband teaching her boys the importance of prayer and due reverence 🙏🏽🙌🏽💯 — If you have pictures of your family or spouse or even friends with their family or spouses praying at home or at Church, please feel free to DM us with them! https://www.instagram.com/p/BvH9U9anFiR/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=a7crt3fpmt76

"Take courage!" The Lord says, give or take 365 times in the Bible. Once for every day of the year! — We still have challenges ourselves with a threenager and a oneteen year old. 😂😂😂 But we want to encourage you to STAY THE COURSE. It's for the benefit of your own souls as well as your children's souls. Our goals as parents, marriages, and Catholics in general is to help each other get to Heaven! How zealous are we about doing so? Is the flame dim, just barely lit, or are we truly trying to fan the flame for it to grow with each passing day? — St. Paul tells us, "Today is the day of salvation!' 2 Corinthians 6:2. Today is the day that you say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, you tell Satan and all of his demons to flee your home, your lives, and your souls because you were purchased at a price and you will not trade the sun for a measly candle. It is time proclaim CHRISTUS REX, CHRIST IS KING of your life, your spouse, your family. It is time to stand up and take up arms against the wickedness and snares of the Devil and his pawns in society trying to destroy the family. — PRAY, FAMILIES, PRAY! — — #Catholic #Lent #CatholicInstagram #Cuaresma #HolyMarriages #HolyFamilies #Hungry4Holiness #HolyMatrimony #Holy #Marriage  #Instagood #Instaphotos #Instapray #Instagreat #Praying #PrayingForFamilies #PrayingCouples #Pray #CatholicHelpmate #LentenHelpmate #BibleVerse #Catechism #Love #Couple #photooftheday https://www.instagram.com/p/BvFfnAtnQ1a/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=b2gvinb2yaiw

IT 👏🏽 STARTS 👏🏽 AT 👏🏽 HOME 👏🏽 — Recognize, families, that you are your children's first and most important catechists and teachers of the Faith. You've heard it said, children are like sponges 🧽 and they soak in all that they hear and see. So, if they see and hear you cussing, yelling, and fighting, guess what they're gonna grow up to do? But if they see you praying persistently, speaking, and acting with charity, reading Scripture, going to Mass, etc, guess what they're gonna most likely do? — Most especially you, fathers and heads of your households, YOU are the ultimate catechist and teacher. Studies and statistics all say that if the father isn't present in the children's lives, and if he is but doesn't go to church, the children will have a great difficulty practicing the Faith nor become virtuous adults. They will grow up troubled and with relationship problems of all kinds. — That is why we started this page, to help couples and families recognize the importance of prayer in the home. We ourselves grew up in homes where God was almost inexistent, most especially prayer and Mass attendance. — So, father and mother, PRAY 👏🏽 AT 👏🏽 HOME 👏🏽. Make it a priority to start praying as a couple AND as a family. We are the core of society, and if the core is rotten, the entire society will cease to exist. — #Catholic #Lent #CatholicInstagram #Cuaresma #HolyMarriages #HolyFamilies #Hungry4Holiness #HolyMatrimony #Holy #Marriage  #Instagood #Instaphotos #Instapray #Instagreat #Praying #PrayingForFamilies #PrayingCouples #Pray #CatholicHelpmate #LentenHelpmate #BibleVerse #Catechism #Love #Couple #Photooftheday https://www.instagram.com/p/BvDBU4dnNsd/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=5d11ux9mh2o3

We schedule 📆 everything in our lives, what time ⏰ we wake up, what time we head out the door, our lunch time, our time to head home... our life is full of schedules, times set aside to fulfill a task, but when was the last time you penciled in prayer 🙏🏽 time with your spouse??? — This is the greatest of all tasks to fulfill! Our whole vocation in marriage 👩‍❤️‍👨 calls us to praise God with our whole being, the moment our marriage is consecrated to God, it does not end! We must renew this consecration regularly through our prayers. — I know it's what we don't wanna hear, especially with children, but let us not be fixated on a "Date Night" 🕯️🍽️🕯️ if we haven't figured out a prayer time. Unless your date includes Mass or Adoration, it won't be satisfying. — NOTHING can fix all the struggles in a marriage like praying together. At a time when the world is persecuting the true meaning of marriage we must be living our Catholic marriages so that we can be witnesses of Our Lord's Love, Grace, Mercy, and Truth thus, impacting and changing the world. — #Catholic #Lent #CatholicInstagram #Cuaresma #HolyMarriages #HolyFamilies #Hungry4Holiness #HolyMatrimony #Holy #Marriage  #Instagood #Instaphotos #Instapray #Instagreat #Praying #PrayingForFamilies #PrayingCouples #Pray #BibleVerse #DateNight https://www.instagram.com/p/BvA4IbwHhhp/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=163r1j31qqfpi

Washing dishes and growing in virtue?! 🤔 Can you even imagine such a thing? ••• I have to admit that the dishes were never the most exciting part of the day. I would always think of how many prayers I could have been saying in front of our home altar, or at Adoration, and it would make me irritated that the dishes would pile up. I remember even having minimalists tell me to donate the dishes and save myself some time! They didn't understand that I had to conquer my dishes to conquer my own selfish appetite. Doing the dishes is a service of #Love, just as much as cooking for my husband and for my family is. I enjoy washing the dishes now because I have turned it into a #Prayer and a labor of Love. Jesus Christ has blessed us with a roof over our heads, food on our plate, and yes, even the dishes in our sink! ••• When we pray while performing the jobs and tasks of the day we begin to love the tasks we once disliked for the sake of Christ Our Love. So, whatever task or job you have to perform this day, make sure to wrap it in prayer and place it at the foot of the throne!  — #Catholic #Lent #CatholicInstagram #Cuaresma #HolyMarriages #HolyFamilies #Hungry4Holiness #HolyMatrimony #Holy #Marriage #Instagood #Instaphotos #Instapray #Instagreat #Praying #PrayingForFamilies #PrayingCouples #Pray #CatholicHelpmate #LentenHelpmate #Bible https://www.instagram.com/p/Bu7g5Y9HgGk/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=2xn0scgga87p

Dear Families, recognize that while we are on this Earth, we fight not against what we can see in front of us, but what we cannot see, demons and devils that are constantly striving to divide and conquer our souls from Almighty God, our ultimate goal. — Which is why prayer is of utmost importance for us to implement as a couple and as a family. Just as oxygen is important to live, prayer is crucial for our souls. — It's definitely easy to fall into the idea that prayer is only a chore, that it's something to check off our to-do list and if we stay in that state of mind, we will always have a difficulty advancing in the spiritual life, we will always wonder why we don't grow in our relationship with Christ. It's because our attitude, our point of view, our state of mind, however you'd like to put it, is not set on the Divine, on Our Lord. — As St. Paul puts it, our battle is not with flesh and blood. It's time to wake up and realize that Satan and his demons are trying to win the souls of our spouses and our family, and it's time for us to gear up and fight back. "WAKE UP, FAMILIES, WAKE UP HUSBANDS AND WIVES, WAKE UP MOTHERS AND FATHERS, AND PRAY, PRAY, PRAY!" — https://www.instagram.com/p/Bu5XuCMnR7S/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=fvhm6tcbf6yt
