On why they opted not to move forward to a s2 of the acolyte, according to co-chairman of Disney entertainment, Alan Bergman

The justification for the cancellation is such a cop out especially without mentioning the vitriol and negative reviews it amassed way before it aired including how the cast were treated. If anything it just goes to show they have learned nothing from The Acolyte and this is going to happen again and again.

I have been having some thoughts about Qimir and what he said to Mae while the two were in the apothecary. While Mae denies it, Qimir insists that all people have a weakness. " I really do believe that, tough. Everyone has a weakness." He says. And I really do believe he is speaking the truth. Not just as his adopted persona but also as a master-his authentic self. So, if everyone has a weakness , I have to ask myself- What is Qimir's weakness? Perhaps it's his desire for a pupil- "the power of two." as he put it. Curious to know what all you think.

We finally got a true dark side romance in the Star Wars universe, and then LucasFilm and Disney just canceled it.

I like the thought of Qimir not knowing Plagueis at all because that leaves the storyline to Osha, putting her between the paths Qimir and Plagueis present. And, I also just don't think Qimir would ever want to be his apprentice because he wouldn't buy into the rule of two. However, there's also the idea that the Sith have informants/agents. So maybeeee it could be possible Qimir works with him more informally. Like how he says to Mae about their master: "I just owe him. You know how he is, he collects people." Which, they're talking about himself lol, unbeknownst to Mae. But what if there's truth to that and he's actually talking about Plagueis?? Anyway, I suppose in some regard an acolyte could even fall in that same vein.
