i just keep thinking about louis and all of his writing about grief in his music. how he lost the mother who was his best friend and then just over a year later one of his little sisters, and now he's losing someone else who meant so so much to him - who was at one point or several points of his life his best friend. he's lost so much and now he's losing liam too. it just feels so surreal. none of this feels like it's real.

everyone from childhood seems to have carved out a life for themselves. i still feel 15 and completely hopeless

It just… it wasn’t supposed to go this way. He was supposed to get the help he deserved and recover. They were supposed to eventually get back together and rob us all (happily, of course) blind of our life savings for their reunion tour tickets. I was supposed to be able to see him in person, bounding around stage, singing his harmonies and verses, doing mic flips, saying “sing it” and reading silly fan signs. He had so much more life left! He had so much more to do!

Just after sunset during the Minneapolis memorial for Liam, someone released five red heart balloons. As they rose up together, one balloon rose higher and faster while the other four seemed to hang back sending it off. To me, the moment felt like these lyrics

Liam may be gone, but we will continue to find him in many ways as we carry on his memory.

We went out to try and see the comet tonight. As I was driving, a cloud like five huge arrows formed on the horizon. I wish I could have gotten a picture.

When we got to where we were going, I pulled out my Sky Mapping app and pointed it where the clouds had been. And I found Vega, which is part of the summer star region.

I wish you wouldn’t have gone, Liam. We miss you.
