Let's talk about book series. • Do you ever start a book series but don't end up finishing it right away or at all? • I usually finish a series one book after another. There are exceptions, such as the sequels have not been released or I need a little break from the storyline. • I have not finished the Villians series by Serena Valentino because I started reading other books before getting the current last three books. • I'm excited about these three because so far I have thoroughly enjoyed the previous books. My favorite one so far is Poor Unfortunate Soul with Mother Knows Best not far behind. • If you are a Disney fan, I highly recommend you dive into this series. https://www.instagram.com/p/CZnLeZuPi9t/?utm_medium=tumblr

I give Homeschool Bravely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. • • It’s the first book I have read on homeschooling. I do think it’s aimed more towards seasoned homeschoolers who may be feeling doubt, anxiety or stress but I’m glad I have read it before I start my homeschool journey with Gabriella this year. I will most likely read it again in a year or two. It points out that it’s all about your perspective and to trust in God. One thing that I really want to take from this book is , “Homeschooling was never intended to be school-at-home.” I’ve been trying to drill that idea into my brain for a long time. • • What homeschool books would you recommend to a soon to be homeschooler? https://www.instagram.com/p/BzEEt9Fg09Z/?igshid=1nk16o90x0pra

I give The Unhurried Homeschooler ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. • • I wanted a fast read and this book was short and to the point. It’s a great resource for a new homeschooler or someone who is thinking about homeschooling. It will also benefit a seasoned homeschooler. Durenda Wilson talks about what she calls unhurried homeschooling. At the end of each chapter she has a”Think About It” section where she brings up a lot of good questions to ask yourself about why are you homeschooling and how do you want your homeschool to look like. One part I’m going to implement into my own homeschooling that Wilson mentioned is, “That is one of the keys to unhurried homeschooling: starting out gently and gradually adding work, incrementally, as your child is ready.” This is one book I know I’ll keep coming back to. • • What book about homeschooling do you use as a resource and keep going back to? https://www.instagram.com/p/BzGpky4g0cy/?igshid=jnz4y95p6o1b

I give Plan Your Year by Pam Barnhill ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. • • This is a great resource for any homeschooler. I'll definitely be coming back to this every year. While I won't be using every tip in this book there are quite a few that I will be using. It gave me some ideas for the upcoming school year. I like how it has different forms within it that you can fill out to help plan your year. I will definitely be making a vision statement because of this book. This was a great read especially as I go into my first year of homeschooling. "Planning is a triad: the plan, the child, and the mother." - Pam Barnhill • • • What resources do you use to plan your homeschool year? https://www.instagram.com/p/BztTk1XAmi8/?igshid=1jvwy5hwkg4si

It makes me happy when I see these little free libraries around town. This is where I take my unwanted books. • • • Do you have little free libraries in your city? https://www.instagram.com/p/Bz_q7NBBXnb/?igshid=fviqcj2g1obu

In April I’m going to see Taking Back Sunday and in May The Maine! I’m so glad I started going to shows again. I might see Mest in February just to hear Drawing Board but we will see. Willian Ryan Keys from Yellowcard will be here in March so I’m considering going to see him! I’ll probably cry seeing TBS live again I only saw them once in high school.

“I fell in love with quotes at a very young age. I guess it was interesting to me that someone else is able to unknowingly express my thoughts when I’m at a loss for words; it has me wasting hours on the simple thought that our minds must have soulmates too.”
