Kyojuro x Tsuguko!S/O

How they met:

The first time they met, [Name] had thought it was their last day on earth.

Sweaty palms gripped desperately on the handle of the red nichirin blade, which felt heavier than before. The blood flowing from a wound on their side stained their uniform, dripping to the ground beneath their feet.

“Looks like you don’t have much time… You were fun! Thanks for giving me such a thrilling fight!” The female demon shrieked, lips curved into a disturbingly wide smile. With a roar, she closed in on [Name], hair hardened to iron spikes at the end poised readily for a strike.

It was over in a second. At speeds too fast for [Name] to comprehend, the demons head was sliced clean off. It fell to the floor, the smile still present on her face.

Their saviour sheathed his sword, facing [Name] with a grin that would make an imprint in their mind forever.

“Young one! You did well!”

How peculiar, this guy looked the same age as them, yet he called them ‘young one’.

How S/O became his Tsuguko:

“You���ve finally healed! I trust you have been doing well?”

[Name] had learned that his name was Kyojuro Rengoku, and that he was a Pillar. This cheerfully eccentric guy asked to treat them to lunch out of the blue. How could they say no? They couldn’t. So they agreed.

“Yes, Rengoku-san. Thank you for your concern, you saved me that day as well.” [Name] politely smiles, taking a sip of their favourite drink. “If I may ask, why have you called me out today?”

“Tasty!” Kyojuro hums to himself with a bite of his lunch, before focusing his attention on the bemused person sitting in front of him.

“Oh! Well, I couldn’t help but notice your nichirin sword was red. I’ll make you my Tsuguko, how does that sound?”

“…Huh?”

It was a very sudden offer, one that [Name] accepted, partly because of being in the heat of the moment.

Cute and fluffy moments:

- Kyojuro confesses -

( this dude has nooo idea how to, Clueless™ )

“Tasty! Tasty!” Kyojuro beams, turning to [Name] with his mouth still full. “Want to try some?”

“You’re sharing your food with me?” They blink in surprise, “Why? You rarely do that-”

“Why?” He hums, swallowing his food, “'Cause I like you! So I’ll share my food with you, especially if it’s tasty!”

[Name] was certain their face could have been mistaken as an oversized tomato.

“How- That’s so sudden- Out of nowhere!” They splutter, covering their face with a hand. They couldn’t have seen the tint of pink on Kyojuro’s cheeks.

“Should I say it at a more appropriate time then?”

“Rengoku-san!!”

“Call me Kyojuro!”

“Kyojuro!!!!!”

(S/O might have blown a fuse)

- Headcanons! -

When S/O is tired from training, they usually fall asleep first. Kyojuro just lays beside them and watches them sleep for a few moments before he does the same.

He’ll tuck any stray hairs away, because he wants to see their face!

When he has a mission that S/O doesn’t go to, he usually brings home something on the way back, like a flower or anything that reminds him of them!

Has a secret stash of S/O’s favourite treat that he brings everywhere!

Conversations as usually filled with laughter, he loves making S/O smile!

In the next few days there is a high possibility to see random video translations from me, so feel free to watch or skip them.

Ok…so in the past few days (and even now and the days that will follow, I’m sure)my mind tends to overthink, and trust me not in a positive way and the only thing that calms me, or makes me think straight are translations and subbing thing. I know, sounds crazy…Anyway, since it will be a waste to make them only for me, I’m thinking to post them here as well. Most of the videos I do are things that caught my attention, or things I really love. (Although right now my attention is focused on Touken Ranbu).

This part if the event that took place before “Touken Ranbu – Burning Honnouji Saien”. The ones playing Tsurumaru and Kousetsu Samonji aren’t present because as you know, the cast was changed in Saien. This is the “Pair gesture battle” fragment.(I’m not entire sure if this was subbed somewhere but anyway…) What I found was 14 minutes video and I’m thinking to do all of it, but not sure yet. Now some translation notes:

“Helping hands” is a comedy performance, performance in which one person wears a haori on their shoulders, while another person behind them puts their arms through the sleevs of the haori and feed the person in front.

Kotatsu is a low, wooden table frame covered by a futon, or heavy blanket, upon which a table top sits. Underneath is a heat source, formerly a charcoal brazier but now electric, often built into the table itself.

I’m planning to do other things as well, but I don’t know which one to start first. I want to thank @nucleatedwbc for all the encouraging words and help she is giving me in doing all this. I will be forever indebted to you.^^”
