Great blog post about eating “live food for live bodies” and the results from it. While processed foods are all around us, the concept of eating ‘clean’ is really very simple. If it once lived (meat, fruit, veg) it will be better for you. I’m taking on this challenge.

The Plan...
Ok so I think I’ve got it figured. First of all, I’ve been getting my butt outdoors and tonight will mark 2 weeks of 3 x 5km runs a week. Oh and I’m running a half marathon this weekend with some friends but not in half marathon shape so will be an easy pace wing.
I’ve set 2 goals, one beneficial to the other:
Goal 1: Run Aspen marathon in Port Elizabeth on 2 December 2017 in under 4 hours. Now my pb marathon time is 4h42min so this is going to take quite some effort.
Goal 2: Weigh 85kg on (Aspen) race day. Soooo.... currently the scale shouts 95g. Thus, 10kg down with 20 weeks to do it in = 0.5kg a week. This is going to be hard!
Week 1 starts Monday 17 July and I’ve watched enough weight loss motivation youtube today to get me in the zone. Here’s to reaching goals!
Cheers

Established: I’m terrible at blogging!! Just cleared out all my posts from 2015 and 2016, except some inspiring pics. Giving this one more try, starting fresh.
Purpose: To come back to this post in April 2019 and prove the goal I set today: To finish Ironman South Africa in sub 12 hours. Goal time: Sub 12. Wishlist time: 11h30.
Facts: 36 year old male, currently weighing 93kg, fairly overweight and moderately fit. Finished Ironman 2015 in 14h56min. Year and a half into a 3 year MBA so studies come first and training drags behind.
Conclusion: I have a long way to go to reach my goal. I have every intention of reaching it though and hoping to share some of my journey on this blog. Wish me luck!
