July '23 language goals review
french
finish reading la mystère de la chambre jaune
currently at 12% (page 62/539)
-> didn't finish it, didn't even come close lol - I got to 20% through the book, which is a decent chunk, and I'll keep going with it, hopefully a little more quickly.
800 words on Anki deck
currently 637/800 (79.6%)
-> 655/800 - again, not the biggest success, but I didn't want to add new words until I had re-familiarised myself with the old ones this will be a theme
focus on one topic weekly - learn new words, piece of writing, get corrections
topics to choose from: future plans, books, fashion, health, holidays - this probably sounds like the most gcse list omg
-> not one, not a single one - it's something I'm still relatively interested in, but I don't think it's the most useful thing for me right now.
korean
500 words on Anki deck
currently 351/500 (70.3%)
-> 391/500 - we're getting there
review all talktomeinkorean lessons
-> didn't review any, but now I feel like I should speed up seeing as ttmik is going paid-only :(
go through all beginner level topic vocabulary on naver dict.
currently at 104/1953 (5.3%)
-> I got to 600/1953, so again, a lot more still to do, but still a good shift in it
japanese
reach level 29 on kanshudo
currently on level 25
-> I do not know what I was thinking with this one, it was way too ambitious. I got to the end of level 25, but I only just learned that each 10 levels are one jlpt level, so there's definitely no rush, and I'd always rather take my time and actually learn the material.
review all jlpt n5 kanji
not yet started
-> I used kanshudo to do this, and I think I underestimated my base knowledge, because I already knew like 70, and I managed to solidify the whole set by the end of the month.
mandarin
finish hsk2 course on coursera
currently on lesson 12/24
-> I didn't do any...
know 140 hanzi
need to find out a way to quantify this...
-> I didn't do any of this, because I still can't quite figure out how to study it, or how to quantify it either.
500 words on Anki deck
currently 202/500 (40.4%)
-> 212/500 - again, a little progress, but I was focused on reviews over new words.
spanish
finish clozemaster essential 100 deck
currently 17.625% seen, 0% mastered
-> 100% seen !!! and around 1.5% mastered, which could be better but I was limited by the daily limit of a basic account :/
reach halfway (lesson 36) through modern Spanish grammar textbook
currently on lesson 27 (75% of goal, 37% of total)
-> Didn't do any...
333 words on Anki deck
currently 267 (80.1%)
-> 311 - very nearly!! I'm pretty pleased with myself haha
german
finish languages on fire beginner German deck
not yet started (0%)
-> I don't know how to express it as a %, but I did get started, I've gotten through about 120 cards so far.
reach 5% fluency on learnwitholiver.com
currently at 0.18% (this one might be too ambitious I can't tell)
->0.89% - yep, maybe too ambitious... I was on a good trajectory but I got out of the habit early in the month, so I think it will be possible in the near future, but just not quite yet.

i am a different person than who i was last year. my hair is longer and i cry less and i am stronger. i am a different person than who i was six months ago. i am free and different and am embracing change. i am a different person than who i was a month ago. i sit in the sunlight without worry and i don’t let things stick and i look up and smile. i am a different person than who i was last week. i explore more and look at the sky and laugh more. i am a different person than who i was yesterday. i let go and breathe. i am whole.

Studying can be a daunting task, especially when we're not feeling motivated or don't know where to start. Luckily you are on Tumblr, where the Tumblr Studyblr community lives!
A group of individuals who share their study tips, techniques, and challenges to help motivate and inspire others.
As a member of this community, I've compiled a master post of study challenges created by Studyblr bloggers. These challenges aim to help students stay on track, improve their focus, and achieve their academic goals. So you can join in and start achieving your academic potential!
>> 𝐍 𝐨 𝐭 𝐞
If you know any other challenges or you've created ones yourself and want to share them, do message me with the link to the post so I can update the list! I too will be creating some, more coding-related ones as I am a coding studyblr (codeblr) blog! That's all and hope you find a challenge you'd like to start!
