Spoiler Warnings for One Piece but here is my Propaganda for Doflamingo, because he is absolutely my favorite villian, EXAMPLES OF SOME SILLY LITTLE THINGS HE HAS DONE:

1. Shot Law full of LEAD bullets. Just because he knew Law had White LEAD Disease as a child. It was a funny in joke, at least to him.

2. Pretended to be decaptiated for a fun min before scaring the shit out of everyone by talking through the head. Turns out it was a clone he was controlling. My man is a Drama King 💅

3. Hilariously he decides to force the citizens of Dressrosa to hunt our heros for points, assigning them all gacha levels, or he would just kill literally everyone on the island. Because if you’re gonna lose, everyone else is gonna lose too but might as well make a fun game out of it.

4. As he’s being arrested after Luffy beats him he asks “can I at least get a newspaper in jail?” And the Navy tell him HELL NO. But then hundreds of chapters later we see him chillin in maximum security prison, reading a newspaper and laughing 😂

5. He keeps sitting on tables instead of using the chairs. You’re already 10 feet tall, you don’t need to be taller, get off the table!

6. Ok my favorite, he is ALWAYS is shown wearing capris and is generally pretty casual (aside from the giant feather coat, he wears that with everything, iconic. Also the insane patterns, AND YES HE SHOWS OFF HIS LEG HAIR IN EVERY FIT) BUT when he finds out his brother betrayed him. Oh. That’s when we break out the fancy wine red suit with leather gloves. The perfect ensemble to kill your brother in, obviously. If that’s not cunty behavior I don’t know what is.

So anyways, VOTE FOR DOFLAMINGO!!

The fact that there's an actually functional website for the library of Babel is one of those things that fucks me up more and more the more I think about the implications.

some of you really aren’t gonna like this, but a creator’s wishes should never dictate what fan content is produced for a piece of media.

in the past, authors like anne rice have tried to limit the production of fanfiction. but at least rice was honest - she thought this infringed on her copywrite. back in the day, this was considered a valid argument to not create any fanfiction at all for her works.

do you understand what i’m saying? while you may sound valiant for placing a creator’s “discomfort�� above the fan’s natural proclivities in fandom, really you’re just continuing to advocate for censorship in fan spaces.

and for anyone who is a creator, or who wants to become one - get comfortable with the rules of the internet. there will be erotic content made of your characters, there will be weird AUs made with your characters. there will be strange pairings and headcanons, no matter if you interact religiously with the fans or not. you cannot stop people from connecting with and wanting to be creative with your characters.

like no you're not actually going to be able to normalize a lot of stuff, because it's statistically unusual or aberrant. you can't normalize shit that is not by any definition normal.

what you need to do is fucking stand up for the weirdos, freaks, and deviants, and remind everyone who is normal that their position just makes them normal. not good, not right, not correct, not better, not perfect, not beyond reproach or improvement.

being weird isn't bad. stop normalizing that, already.
