Thsi would just show Jack's hatred of Ralph for many reasons. Their arguments,Ralph's power,ect.

Jack's feeling over betrayal when Ralph befriended Piggy after their fight in chapter 4. Jack coudl see this shift as Ralph doing this jsut to get back at him for letting the fire go out.

Jack finally being done with Ralph. It the book this would be him running away,becoming his own cheif,the hunt. It's just showing Jack's anger.

Jack thinking about how Ralph stole what he could have had. Becoming chief and steals Jack's opportunity for power.(But unlike Burr Jack is not slow to anger💀)

Once again Ralph not allowing Jack to be cheif lead Jack to "failing". Ralph's disrespect could also be the arguments they had which made Jack appear irresponsible and just make him look bad in general

Ralph's lines about Jack being a dirty theif,the fire argument,boysarmed with sticks. Basically anything Ralph said that insulted his ego

Switch to Ralph's lines

Ralph explains that Jack isn't a good cheif due to his behaviors. His violence, irresponsibility, childish behaviors and how it makes him untrustworthy.

Ralph's tendency to be a bit blunt and how he is from on his beliefs.

"Even if I said what you think I said

You would need to cite a more specific grievance

Here's an itemized list of thirty years of disagreements"

Ralph's accidental/somewhat purposeful antagonism throughout the book which ultimately makes the situation worse.

"Hey, I have not been shy

I am just a guy in the public eye

Tryna do my best for our republic, I don't wanna fight

But I won't apologize for doing what's right"

Ralph's justification for everything.He is truly trying his best with the situation but in doing so it lead to the arguments that lead to the fall out between him and Jack.

Jack's lines

"Careful how you proceed, good man

Intemperate indeed, good man

Answer for the accusations I lay at your feet or prepare to bleed, good man"

Jack finally being done with Ralph. His turn to violence. He show little restraint in harming his old friend just like Burr. Examples:deliberately throwing the spear at Ralph and the hunt which would have ended with Ralph's death.

Ralph's lines

"Burr, your grievance is legitimate

I stand by what I said, every bit of it"

Though some of Jack's reasons for leaving were understandable Ralph's anger and other feelings on Jack's behavior were also true so Ralph would not feel the need to apologize even if some of his actions hurt Jack.

"You stand only for yourself, it's what you do

I can't apologize because it's true"

Jack's tendency to focus on things that benefit himself instead of thinking about others. His selfishness and just him being self centered

Jack's lines

Weehawken, dawn

Guns drawn"

Just replace guns with spears and its literally lotfs

My favourite thing about the lotf fandom is that they take the smallest and most irrelevant ass characters and give them personalities and shit like..who the fuck is bill and why are we shipping him with piggy? I barely even remember Maurice being mentioned in the book other than the beginning and when it says he was with Roger before Roger started terrorising children with rocks or something but it feels like everyone loves the boy and made him this massive jokester or something. Am I like..missing something with some of these characters? Atp it feels like I am.
