“Do I look. Like a fucking Sonic to you.” Void hisses as they grab the other by his shoulders and dig their claws into him, gritting their shark-like teeth at him.

This was, like, the first ever time I drew Void Scourge and got the idea for how the cracked face looked, the colouring, all of it. This is the end goal for the comic, but not the end of their story…

They let go of him with a huff. Disappointment seeps into their bones and festers there. “Figures.” They cross their arms and spin around once more to face him. No longer some creature towering over him…but just another Moebian, right at his level. Their form shifts to match up with Zonic for a moment as their thoughts wander to prior events. Maybe…no. “I don’t know either.” They sigh. “It’s not like we can find anything…..it’s been too long for me, I” they shake their head, long quills swishing behind them. “Time passes weirdly here. I don’t know how long ago the genesis blast was…”

"...what?" Scourge breathes. "You- you were about to kill me, right?" He chokes out a breathy little laugh. A weak thing. A dying thing. "What the fuck is wrong with you?" He drifts forwards, and manages to clamp his hands tightly around Void's... around Scourge's arms, exposed claws digging into the slick fabric of Zonic's uniform. He looks Void dead in the eyes, chest heaving as their face warped and shifted before his eyes, settling on something familiar . On something off . He could feel the fabric of Zonic's uniform on his bare fingers, but looked into Void's eyes on Zonic's face stained green green green. Emerald green. Chaos green. His green.

Because their story continues, right here in this fanfic, in their very chapter, everything changes.

If you’ve never read “The Fastest Things Alive” I highly recommend that you do so, it started out as a silly Discord group chat role play and evolved into this great and wonderful story me and my friends have written, full of ups and downs and laughs and tears.

This is where I got to explore every inch of Void’s character, come up with new things and find cool ways to push the comic in, too.

The next issue is out, but it won’t be posted here till it’s completed, and this one is much longer than the first two!
