Movie Night | Part 2
Part 1
Pairing: Eddie Munson x Reader
Summary: Eddie takes you up on your offer and loses his virginity
Word Count: 2.9K - Much shorter than part 1 but we have no build here, diving straight into the smut 🔥
Content Warnings: 18+ Only, Smut, Oral Sex (F receiving), fingering, PIV (Protected), virgin!eddie
Author's note: Here is the heavily requested part 2! I am hoping it lives up to expectations but I have been in bed sick all weekend, at first I thought it was the flu but it's turned out to be tonsilitis and I feel horrendous 😭 I carried on adding to this in between naps but I haven't been in a very smutty headspace, maybe I should have waited until I felt better before posting it but I am too excited to share it, it's also only been proofread once so I apologise in advance 😂 Enough of me rambling, I hope you enjoy it anyway 💕 (I'm sorry if you asked to be tagged and haven't been, it will likely either be because your blog doesn't state you are over 18 or you just weren't showing up when I tried to tag you!) Thank you so much to everyone that commented/reblogged part 1 with comments, it was your love and encouragement that made me so eager to give you part 2 💕
It took Eddie all of five minutes to get hard again. Even if he wasn’t trying it would have been difficult not to when he was completely losing himself in you. He lay on top of you between your open legs as you engaged in a series of heated and needy kisses. Lips desperate to touch every inch of skin they could reach. Your hips ground into each other in sync, both of you craving the feeling of him finally being inside of you more and more with each passing minute.
“Eddie,” you whined breathlessly. “Condom.”
“Uh yeah, yeah,” he muttered between kisses, his shaky breaths fanning hot across your face.
He blindly reached for the handle of the drawer of his bedside table, not willing to pull his lips from yours. When he felt the knob he gripped it and yanked it open with so much enthusiasm the entire drawer dislodged from the dresser and went clattering to his floor. After a second of initial shock you erupted into a burst of laughter as you watched Eddie’s eyes grow wide, obviously surprised by his own strength.
“Jeez Eds,” you poked at his ribs gently, still giggling. “That eager?”
“What do you think?” He teased back, rolling his hips hard into yours so his naked cock glided along your glistening folds.
You gasped in shock at the confident move, while you thought the nervous, fumbling Eddie was the cutest fucking thing in the whole entire world, assertiveness suited him more. You would take anything he was willing to give you but you really hoped he wouldn’t see this as a one time thing, you’d love to experience what he’d be like in bed after you’d helped melt away all of his self doubt. He reluctantly pulled away from you and leaned over to rummage on the ground for the box of condoms. He returned to you with a triumphant look when he finally found them under the mess of socks and boxers he kept in that drawer.
“So when did you get these?” You asked out of curiosity.
“I didn’t, Wayne got them for me years ago when he tried to give ‘the talk’” Eddie laughed at the memory, while he found the situation amusing it was probably the most uncomfortable Wayne had ever been in his entire life. “Said as much as he loves me he wasn’t raising another kid that ain’t his.”
“Are they still in date?” You checked, you might just cry with frustration if you’d gotten to this point and you couldn’t have sex with him.
“Condoms expire?” Eddie’s face dropped so quickly it was almost comical.
“Yes,” you exhaled, trying to hide your slight impatience as he scanned the box for the expiration date.
You stared at his disheartened expression, his brows furrowed and lips pressed into a thin line. You didn’t even realise you’d been holding your breath until you saw the excitement rush back onto his face.
“We’re good to go,” he grinned.
You bit your lip as you watched him tear open the box. His fingers trembled slightly as he fumbled with the little foil packaging, it made your heart melt. He ripped one open with his teeth and rolled the condom down his length, giving himself a few strokes for good measure. A deep ache settled between your legs as you watched him shudder under his own touch, still sensitive from his previous orgasm.
You reached out to him, tugging on his arm until he fell forward onto you. You squealed and laughed beneath him as he crushed you with his weight, his hand gripping your chin as he attacked your face with tiny kisses. You pushed at his ribs gently until you had flipped him onto his back. Straddling him you captured his lips, he immediately deepened the kiss, tongue tangling with yours. You rolled your hips in a steady rhythm, your wetness gliding along his cock. He grunted softly into your mouth and you were overcome with the carnal need to have him inside of you.
“Eddie,” you panted against his lips. “I need you, I need you.”
“Fuck, okay” he muttered more to himself in preparation than you.
“Ready?” You whispered breathlessly as you took hold of him and lined him up with your entrance.
He nodded his head eagerly and you sank down onto him, just the tip at first but Eddie’s jaw still dropped. He watched himself disappear slowly inch by inch until he bottomed out, he threw his head back into the pillow and whined at the feeling of being engulfed by your warm, wet heat. Eddie was bigger than you were used to but the stretch was divine, you braced your hands on his chest and stayed still for a moment while you let your body adjust to him.
“You okay?” You asked shakily, you reached a hand up to stroke the side of his face where his head was still thrown back.
“Mmmhmmm,” he hummed tipping his head forward into your touch, it sounded strangled as he fought to gain some self control.
You rocked your hips experimentally, both of you gasping at the sensation, he felt so so deep. You linked your hands with his, fingers intertwined and set a steady pace. Eddie was struggling, he thought he would do better this time since he had cum no more than 15 minutes ago but this position was proving to be too much for him. You looked like a fucking goddess above him as you rode his dick, your tits bouncing in his face with each movement of your hips, tiny soft moans catching in your throat each time he brushed against your g-spot. He squeezed his eyes shut in an attempt to not blow his load so fast but he was fast approaching the edge, the blow job you had given him was amazing but your pussy was like nothing else he had ever felt in his life. He felt the familiar heat beginning to build and his hands suddenly flew to your hips, his fingers gripping like a vice to still your movements.
“Stop, stop, stop,” he whimpered, his eyes now wide with desperation.
“What’s wrong? What happened?” You panicked as you stopped bouncing your hips, worried that you had done something to hurt him.
“Can we swap?” He pleaded. “Wanna set my own pace or I’m gonna cum.”
You were about to tell him that was okay but you knew he wouldn’t accept it after the way he reacted to your blow job. This was all about him and you wanted to give him whatever he needed. So instead you nodded, leaning over to place a kiss against his swollen lips as he slipped out of you.
You took his place on the mattress while he settled between your open legs. You cried out in surprise when he scooted back and you felt his lips attach themselves to your clit again, his fingers sinking inside you in the way that you had shown him you liked. He wanted you to cum again before he did and he wasn’t confident he’d get you there using his cock before he exploded.
“Fuuuuuuuck,” you sighed as you raked your fingers through his chestnut curls.
His fingers didn’t fill you quite as satisfyingly as his cock had been doing but he was stroking you wonderfully in all the right places. You really were impressed by how quickly he’d perfected it.
“Eddie, ohhhhh Eddie,” you arched your hips into his face and he moaned into you, the vibrations making you squirm in his hold, you were getting close.
“I can feel you,” he choked, his lips temporarily leaving your clit as he picked up the pace of his fingers. “Can feel you squeezing my fingers so tight.”
The thickness of his digits dragging in and out of you had your thighs trembling around his head, you looked down at him to find his hooded gaze already staring up at you. He smiled when your eyes locked, his lips and chin slick with your arousal.
“C’mon baby,” he whispered before he lowered back down to lick back over your clit, his wrist twisting as he doubled his efforts with his fingers.
“Ohhhhh my god,” you clenched down on him as you felt the coil tightening in your belly, you couldn’t take it any longer.
Your back arched as you saw stars, pushing his fingers even deeper into you. You tugged his hair harshly as you fell apart, your body curled in on itself as your legs clamped down around his head. Eddie kept moaning through your orgasm, his fingers slowing their pace a tiny bit at a time until you were whimpering and patting at the now tangled curls you had caused.
He chuckled into your skin as he pulled away to press kisses against your thighs, your hipbone, your tummy. Eventually making his way up to your lips, you tasted yourself for the second time that night as he licked into your mouth.
“You make the cutest little noises when you cum for me,” he sighed between kisses. “I can’t get enough of you.”
His words gave you violent butterflies and you grinned against his lips. He kneaded the doughy flesh of your still shaking thighs in his hands before he bent your knees to wrap your legs around his waist. He gripped his painfully hard cock and dragged the tip up and down your soaked folds, you shivered every time he nudged your sensitive clit.
“Do you need a minute?” He asked, his impatience showing through the waver in his voice.
“No,” you shook your head. “Fuck me please.”
He kissed you again soft and sweet as he effortlessly filled you up. Both of your eyes grew wide, mouths dropped open in a silent “oh” as he was buried to the hilt. His tremoring breath fanned out across your face as he gave an experimental thrust of his hips. He fell forward onto his forearms, one resting by the side of your head where his fingers combed through your hair, the other had his bedsheets tightly gripped in his fists.
“Prettiest girl I’ve ever seen,” Eddie mumbled against your temple, his hips finding a steady pace as he thrusted into your heat.
He pressed more tender kisses to your forehead, your nose and cheeks, the corners of your mouth, the occasional whimper slipping from his lips as he rapidly started to increase his speed.
“Fuck, hmmmm,” he breathed so quietly. “Ohhhh fu-“
His face was fucking angelic, a light blush scattered across his cheeks, pupils blown before he squeezed his glassy eyes shut, jaw hanging slack. He was so beautiful.
‘How could no one else want him like this?’ You thought. ‘I’m so fucking lucky.’
You could tell he was close from the way his hips started to falter, his face was now buried in your neck as he rutted desperately into your pussy. His lips skimmed across your neck and down across your skin before he suddenly sank his teeth into your shoulder.
“Did you just bite me?” You gasped at the sudden sting.
“Sorry,” he panted, a hint of guilt in his voice. “Got a little carried away.”
“No, no, I liked it,” you assured him. “Mark me.”
Eddie grunted into your flesh as he bit down on you once more, your request making his cock twitch inside your walls.
“You want me to mark you?” He panted. “Show everyone your mine?”
“I’m yours,” you whined, you wound your arms around him to rake your nails down his back, delighted when you felt him shudder under your touch. “I’m yours.”
“Fuck, fuck, I’m gonna cum,” he grunted, his hips fucked into you at a near brutal pace, you grabbed his ass in both your palms in an attempt to pull him even closer to you.
For the first time in your life you wished you were on the pill, you were aching to feel his hot seed spilling into you, you wanted every part of him.
“Eddie, baby,” you cooed next to his ear. “Gotta feel you, ohhh-“
“M’gonna cu- uhhh,” Eddie’s entire body went rigid against yours as he lost control and came undone in your arms, his face tucked tightly into the crook of your neck as you pressed kisses against the crown of his head. “Oh fuck, baby, baby, baby.”
Your nose nudged softly at the side of his face as your fingers drew invisible shapes across the expanse of his back. Minutes passed before either of had the energy to move. He slipped himself out of you with a wince before lifting his face from its place in your neck and rested his chin on your chest. His hooded eyes gazed up at you, a lazy grin spread across his blissful features.
“Hi,” he breathed, his head spinning from the happiness coursing through his veins.
“Hey,” you giggled, booping him on the nose with your pinky finger.
He scrunched his face and leaned up to kiss you on your lips. This one was different, hot and desperate had turned to loving and tender.
“Wow,” you sighed as he touched his forehead to yours.
“Wow,” he agreed, unable to keep the smile off his face.
He promised he’d be right back as he excused himself. He disposed of the condom and ran to the kitchen to get you a glass of water. He pulled on a fresh pair of boxer shorts and pulled out one of his oversized band t-shirts for you to wear with your panties. He pulled back his duvet and climbed into bed, his arm wide open for you to snuggle into his side. He pulled you so close to him, his hand cupping your chin as he brushed his thumb softly across your cheekbone. If anyone could see you now they’d probably throw up from how sickeningly in love you both looked.
“I’m so glad it was you,” he mumbled as he pressed his lips to your forehead, his voice so quiet you could have missed it.
“I’m glad it was me too,” your heart soared as you beamed up at him, you didn’t regret any of your past relationships but a small part of you wished he had been it for you too.
“Did you mean it? When you said you were mine?” He asked, anxious that it might have been said in the heat of the moment.
“I’ve always been yours,” you confessed.
“Fuck, you mean we coulda been doing that for years?”
“Oh don’t worry,” you smirked. “We’re definitely gonna make up for lost time.”
“If I knew you finding my crappy porno collection would lead to this I’d have left it out in plain sight a long time ago.”
You laughed and hid your face in his chest. “Well maybe I’ll forget to call at Family Video more often too.”
“Aha!” He wrapped his arms fully around you so you couldn’t move and crushed you to him. “So you admit it was your fault.”
“I didn’t say that!” You argued back trying to wriggle free of his vice-like grip but it was no use, he was holding you too tight.
“Too late, you said it,” he laughed, pinching your sides and kissing the top of your head.
You accepted defeat and laughed and made out until you settled into a comfortable silence, the soft rise and fall of his chest and his steady heartbeat lulling you to sleep.
The first thing Wayne did when he got home from work in the early hours of the morning was kick back in his armchair with a steaming cup of coffee and turn on the news. He shrugged off his overalls and made his coffee while he tidied the kitchen, pizza from last night still leftover on the counter. He knew Eddie had friends over for movie night on Fridays but he usually did a better job of tidying up after himself. It wasn’t a big deal, the trailer wasn’t much more messy than it usually was. He placed his mug down on his favourite coaster and picked up the remote from where it was flung on the coffee table.
You had started to stir when you heard movement in the kitchen, Eddie’s bedroom door still slightly cracked open from the night before. You groaned at the sunlight streaming through the cracks in his blinds, you hadn’t meant to stay the whole night but you’d done a pretty good job at tiring each other out.
“Eddie,” you whispered, shaking his shoulder in an attempt to rouse him where he snored softly next to you. “Eddie, I think Wayne’s home.”
Eddie’s eyes fluttered open sleepily and you couldn’t help but smile at how adorable he looked, you brushed back the stray locks that had fallen in his face while he slept.
“Morning sweetheart,” he whispered too, pulling you closer to his chest again.
You shared a couple of sweet lazy kisses before you were harshly torn from your bubble by the sounds of obnoxious moans coming from the living room.
“What the fuck?” You heard Wayne cry out as you both scrambled into a sitting position.
“We forgot the fucking tape!”

meet me at midnight
December 31st, 1983
"Sweet dreams are made of this, who am I to disagree?"
You were inclined to, that's for sure.
Annie Lennox's voice booms throughout the house as you tuck yourself further into the corner you've managed to claim, a lukewarm cup of punch in hand. It feels like the entire student body of Hawkins High is here at Tina's party, bodies jostling each other on the makeshift dance floor and spilling down the hallway like an overflowing sink, even trickling outside onto the deck to smoke despite the frosty air.
You shift your weight from one heeled boot to the other and choke down a sip of your drink, wincing at the alcohol burning its way down your throat. Leave it to some thickheaded jock to make a punch that's almost entirely rum, you think as you abandon the solo cup on the nearest shelf and pull your sweater sleeve down to check the time.
It's not nearly as late as you'd hoped, the glowing green numbers reading ten-thirty, and you drop your arm with a sigh. An hour and a half before midnight and an hour and a half way too long in your opinion.
"Having fun?" Nancy's face is flushed as she squeezes her way through the dancing crowd to you, dragging Steve by the hand.
Absolutely not.
"Oh, totally!" Your smile feels so forced you're sure she'll notice and call you out but it never comes, both to your relief and disappointment; once upon a time you'd been thick as thieves, the best of friends just like your little brother and hers, before she'd ditched you for Barb and left you behind in the dust.
Barb, whose body lies in another dimension, frozen forever at sixteen.
Yeah, you're still processing that last part and you were there, standing beside Dustin as Eleven confirmed Nancy's worst fear, heart breaking for your former best friend as she cried into Jonathan's arms.
(Later that night, when everything was said and done and you were safe in bed with your little brother sleeping soundly across the hall was when you cried for Barb, too, a girl who was kind and innocent and undeserving of her terrible fate.)
Your relationship's been on the mend ever since but as much as it hurts to admit, you'll never be as close as you once were and Nancy's inability -or unwillingness, you think bitterly- to pick up on your unhappiness is only further proof.
"Wanna come dance with us?" She asks, oblivious, and you shake your head, crossing your arms to keep her from grabbing your hand because as bored as you are, being a third wheel would be even worse. You already feel bad for crashing their date by tagging along for the drive here, even though they both insisted on giving you a ride.
"Trust me, that wouldn't be pretty. Dusty says I dance like a school chaperone."
Steve bursts out laughing at that and it makes your heart do a little flip in your chest, even as Nancy fondly shakes her head. "Come on, you're not that bad."
"Oh no, I am." You wrap your arms tighter around yourself as someone opens the front door and lets in a freezing blast of air. "Seriously, I'm good. I think I'm gonna go grab some snacks."
"Try the snickerdoodles! I ate, like ten of them." Steve admits that last part pretty sheepishly and the way Nancy stares up at him with the most adoring look in her eyes makes you feel like you're intruding on something private.
You offer an awkward smile in thanks and with a tiny wave from Nancy, they melt back into the mess of bodies dancing along to Cyndi Lauper, leaving you alone once again.
For no less than the fifth time tonight, you wish Robin was here, not halfway across the state visiting her grandparents. While you might've lost Nancy as your best friend in middle school, you gained another: Robin had also been dropped by Barb and so it was only fitting that the two of you became fast friends, not just acquaintances that sat beside each other in the band's trumpet section.
(You miss Nancy honestly, you really do, but sometimes you think being ditched was one of the best things that's ever happened. You and Robin just click, two peas in a pod, and to you, she feels like the sister you always wish Nancy would've been.)
If Robin was here, she would've already made some quip about Steve and his coiffed hair, or Carol and the permanent expression on her face that made her look like she smelled something bad, or Jason and his attempts to impress Chrissy with his awful dance moves, and it would've had you doubled over in laughter.
She wouldn't let you wallow in the corner by yourself, an outsider looking in, both unwilling and unable to throw caution to the wind and just let go. But she's not here, so wallowing it is.
Being kind to yourself has never been your strong suit.
As if the universe is listening, mocking, a gap in the crowd grows just enough to give you a perfect view of Steve and Nancy swaying in each other's arms and you hate the bitter taste that suddenly floods your mouth.
You have no right to be jealous.
You've never admitted your little crush on Steve to yourself, let alone Nancy: how was she supposed to know? You're not even sure if it's all about him in the first place because sure, you think he's cute -you always have- but you get the same gnawing feeling watching Bradley spin Tina around the room in a playful waltz or Nate stealing a kiss from Georgina under the mistletoe still hanging in the doorway and you can barely tolerate either of those idiots.
It's all so terribly confusing.
Steve twirls Nancy under his arm and then dips her low to the ground, her delighted laughter reaching your ears even over the pounding music and something ugly blooms in your chest. You make your escape before you can do something stupid like cry, weaving your way across the living room and down the hall toward the kitchen with your head down.
…Which is precisely how you end up head butting one of your classmates directly in the chest when you turn the corner.
They give a soft 'oof' of surprise and you're absolutely mortified when you realize it's a boy, not just from the tone of his voice but from the toes of his white Reeboks bumping into your boots.
The same shoes you've heard keeping time in band every day since seventh grade, tapping along to the beat on the riser behind you with the rest of the saxophone players. The same shoes you see at the desk in front of you in third period English, still tapping along to the music that's always running through his mind, accompanied by the furious scribbling of a pencil across paper as he jots down lyrics for a new song.
You wince and keep your head down, hoping he'll just act like nothing happened and go on his merry way and just when you're about to think you're in the clear-
"Ow. You have a hard head, Henderson."
Shit, you think. Of course you had to literally run into the one person you feel like you can't speak two words to without making a complete fool of yourself; something about Eddie just makes you flustered beyond belief and you really wish you knew why 'cause it's, to put it frankly, annoying.
Really fucking annoying.
"Shit." You say out loud, quickly looking up to meet his big brown eyes before glancing away and staring at the zombie adorning the front of his Iron Maiden shirt instead. "Sorry, wasn't paying attention."
"No shit, Sherlock." He teases but there's no trace of malice in his voice, just amusement, even as his ringed hand comes into view and rubs the spot where your forehead crashed into his chest. "You okay?"
Embarrassment burns your face and you cross your arms defensively, firing back with a weak insult you're sure he can see right through 'cause if there's one thing you're good at, it's looking like an idiot all day, every day.
"I'm fine. You're not looking very festive, Munson."
He snorts in laughter and you finally gather the courage to meet his eyes again, only to find him already looking down at you with something behind his gaze that you can't quite figure out.
"I think you're festive enough for the both of us." He gestures to your deep navy sweater dotted with bursts of silver thread that give the illusion of stars. "You look really pretty, by the way."
Your brain short circuits.
Pretty? You're wearing your mom's sweater and Eddie thinks you look pretty?
You're too busy trying to get your mouth to work as the silence stretches on -you'll take a 'huh?' at this point, or maybe even an unintelligible squeak, just say something, you moron- to notice the pink blooming high in his cheeks and the way he speaks in a rush, the words all jumbling together so fast it's hard for your frazzled mind to understand what he's saying.
"-your help, so keep watch, okay?"
Keep watch?
He turns and strides into the kitchen without another word and you end up following a few seconds later, after you've finally recovered enough to get your legs working, at least.
You find him standing by the big bowl of punch, rummaging around the array of bottles littering the island, every so often picking one up to inspect before putting it back in its place with a shake of his head. To your surprise, it's not more alcohol he finally picks up but a two-liter of Sprite and at last you get your mouth to work as you blurt out, "What the hell are you doing?"
"Fixing this shitty ass punch." He's not even phased by your sudden question, save for the quick smile he sends your way as he pours the entire bottle in. "Have you tried it? Jesus, Jan would be disgusted."
You cross your arms and lean your hip against the counter, keeping an eye on the door just like he'd asked. "I have, unfortunately. Who's Jan?"
"Bartender at the Hideout." Eddie throws a reply over his shoulder as he digs around in the fridge, yelling triumphantly when he finds whatever he's looking for. It turns out to be a can of pineapple juice and he dumps that in, too, turning the blue punch a pretty shade of green. "My band plays there on-"
"-Tuesdays, I know." You interrupt without thinking and rush to explain yourself, almost tripping over your words when he turns his curious gaze on you.
"Um, there's this all-girl band Robin loves, Blush. We go see them sometimes and end up staying to watch you guys, too, because you're really good-" You pause at the smile slowly growing wider on his face and shake your head. "-but you already knew that, didn't you?"
He shrugs, still grinning like the Cheshire Cat as he stirs some cherries into the punch, then dishes out two cups and pushes one across the island to you.
"Yeah, I see you there a lot. You're kind of hard to miss when the rest of the audience is just five old drunk dudes."
Your laugh rings in the cavernous kitchen as you push off the counter to grab your drink, tapping it against his when he holds it out toward you.
"Cheers."
You're not sure what to expect when you take that tentative first sip but it's definitely not something sweet and smooth with just the right amount of fizz, the burn of the rum still present but not as overpowering as it was before.
"Okay, so I don't know how you managed to make this shit taste good but you did."
Eddie sweeps into a low bow and you hide a smile behind your cup at his theatrics. "Thank you, thank you. I do accept tips, you know, and all proceeds go directly to Jan so she can buy herself a car."
You smile wider and take another sip. "I'd love to donate but I left my purse at home, I'm afraid."
He clicks his tongue in mock disappointment before leaning forward across the island and waving you closer, dropping his voice to such a low whisper you would've had to move in anyway to even hear him.
"How about I make you a deal, Henderson? Come watch us next Tuesday, slip Jan a twenty, and I'll play a song -any song- just for you."
"Ooh, tempting." You whisper back just as quietly, tapping a finger against your chin even as a weird feeling takes hold in your stomach at his offer. "Any song I want? How about-"
"Hold on, I take that back. Any song but 'September.'"
Your jaw drops. "How'd you know-"
"Because I hear you humming it every day in band, that's how."
"Oh." How the hell does he know you hum that song when half the time you don't even realize you're doing it? You've annoyed Dustin enough to know it's true, after he told you in no uncertain words. "How about I make you a deal? I give Jan thirty dollars and Corroded Coffin covers Earth, Wind & Fire."
He stares at you for a beat longer before slowly breaking out into a smile. "…I'll think about it."
You've always know he has a pretty smile, catching glimpses of it across the cafeteria from where you sat with Robin and the rest of the marching band or in crowded hallways as you rushed to make it to your locker in between classes, but having its full force directed right at you knocks the very breath right out of your lungs.
"it's not a no, so…works for me." You say, propping your chin in one hand and swirling your cup in the other, watching the opaque green liquid spin around like the center of a hurricane. "Why'd you have me guard the door, anyway? I wouldn't call making this sludge drinkable very deviant of you."
"Please," Eddie scoffs, mirroring you exactly. "'Resident metalhead spotted adding mixers to the jungle juice?' I can't trash my reputation like that."
"No, never." You huff a laugh under your breath. "You'd be ruined."
He laughs, too, and you're not sure when it became so warm in here but it's making you want to roll your sweater sleeves up to your elbows.
"See! I knew you'd have my back, Henderson."
The more you think about it, the more you realize you always have. Every time the rumor mill paints him in a bad light, you're there to put it all to rest with nothing more than a perfectly directed scowl because you like Dio, too and wear black nail polish and occasionally play DnD with Dustin and his friends when they need a sub and no one's ever accused you of worshiping Satan for fuck's sake.
If any of them would bother to look deeper than the surface, they'll see what you do, that he's kind and sweet and caring and you know because you've seen him prove it with your own eyes: driving the rest of the Hellfire Club home if they didn't have rides, sticking up for the freshmen when the seniors decide to be cruel, and even now, witnessing him first hand try to raise money for a coworker to buy a car (granted that method might be called borderline manipulation but still, at least it's for a good cause).
"'Course I do." It's both too simple a statement and more than you ever wanted to admit and the way he's staring at you feels different, somehow, different and yet not unwelcome as you stare right back…
(Has he always had that dusting of freckles across his nose?)
…which is why you end up putting your foot in your mouth without even realizing it. "That's what friends are for, right?"
"Right, yeah."
Something flickers behind his brown eyes but it's gone before you can put your finger on it and he's smiling that smile again, pointed canines on full display as he hastily nods and straightens, downing the rest of his drink in one go.
"Do you have the time?" He sheepishly holds up his bare wrist. "Forgot my watch."
"Oh, sure." The sudden change of subject nearly gives you whiplash as you push your sleeve up to check. "Almost eleven fifteen."
"No time to lose, let's go." He grabs a napkin and swipes a few cookies from the counter, tucking them away into the pocket of his leather jacket.
"Go where?"
"You'll see." Eddie nods his head toward the doorway and holds out a hand, silver rings catching the harsh kitchen lights. "C'mon, you trust me?"
"Against my better judgement." You tease and his laugh is downright devilish when you take his hand anyway, letting him lead you out into the hall.
You're not prepared for the warmth of his palm or the rough, calloused touch of his fingers or how your hand looks so small in his as he expertly weaves through your classmates milling about until you reach the bottom of the stairs, pausing just long enough to make sure the coast is clear before dashing up to the second floor.
"Are we even allowed up here?" You whisper and while the little conspiratorial grin on his face doesn't do much to ease your mind, the quick squeeze he gives your hand somehow does.
"Nope!" He leads you down the dark hallway with practiced ease, opening the last door on the left before pulling you inside and softly shutting it behind you both.
"I feel like a delinquent." Your quiet voice echoes in the large room, clearly Tina's from the Hawkins High cheer uniform hanging on the closet door and the over abundance of pink, and he snickers as he drops your hand to grab a blanket draped over the desk chair.
"Live a little, Henderson!" He opens another door, this one leading out onto a moonlit balcony -Jesus, you knew Tina's family was rich but come on- and holds it for you as you step outside. It's just beginning to snow, specks of white drifting down silently and forming a barely there dusting on the railing and you hold out your hand to catch one, watching as the tiny flake instantly disappears from the heat of your palm.
"C'mon, I'll give you a boost." Eddie says, tossing the blanket up onto the section of roof that's just a bit lower than the others.
"Don't tell me you shoot webs from your wrists." You joke, warily eyeing the spot even as you step forward and stand in front of him, grabbing the edge with both hands.
"Nah, I couldn't handle the responsibility of being Spider-Man." He moves closer and hovers his hands over your sides. "Still trust me?"
You nod.
"Can I touch you?" His voice is a low whisper in your ear and when a shiver runs down your spine, you blame it on the sudden gust of wind, nothing more.
You nod again.
His hands are big and oh so warm as he places them on your waist and before you know it, you're lifted onto the roof without so much as a warning, the rough shingles cold against your knees even through the thick denim of your jeans.
Holy shit, he's strong.
You don't even get the chance to offer your hand as he pulls himself up with an almost casual grace and spreads the blanket out, each step he takes so confident and sure, like he's done it time and time again.
"So, you sure know your way around Tina Williamson's roof." You carefully crawl closer and take a seat beside him, close enough that the length of your body is pressed right up against his to ward off the cold.
To be fair, you're also the slightest bit terrified of somehow falling right off the edge and it's like he reads your mind when he shuffles even closer and rests his arm along the curve of your back, not quite touching but near enough that you just know he'll catch you.
"Found out I could climb up here two years ago and-" He explains, pointing off somewhere beyond the back yard in the vague direction of town. "-it's got a killer view of the fireworks."
"It's peaceful." The sounds of the festivities have faded to nothing more than a faint thumping of bass and the occasional burst of laughter floating up from the smokers on the back deck. "So for the last two years, every party Tina's thrown, you've just been hiding up here?"
"More like escaping." Eddie shrugs and stares ahead at the snow-covered trees. "I don't even want to come to these things and I'm only invited 'cause I deal. Once these rich kids get their stuff and I get paid…no one really cares where I go so I just do what I want."
You care.
"All by yourself?"
He nudges you with his shoulder and when you turn to face him, that same look from earlier is behind his eyes, the one from the hallway and the kitchen that you still can't quite figure out. "You're the only person I've ever brought up here."
"Really?"
It's cold, the snow starting to fall a little bit heaver now, and yet you're so, so warm under his gaze as he nods, the corners of his mouth turned up ever so slightly in the softest smile you've ever seen from him.
It's like hot chocolate on a snowy day or a cozy blanket on a cold night, safe and warm and feeling more than a little like home.
"I'm trusting you with this, Henderson. Don't abuse your power."
You smile and duck your head, pulling your sweater sleeves down further over your cold fingers. "Wouldn't dream of it, Munson."
You'd nearly forgotten all about the cookies hidden in his jacket pocket until he nudges your arm and hands you two, one of his own hanging out of his mouth and you realize they're the snickerdoodles Steve had told you to try.
For the first time, the thought of him doesn't make your stomach twist or your chest hurt. Honestly? You don't really feel anything in particular, other than the fact that he has damn good taste in desserts as you take a bite of your cookie, perfectly baked and covered in just the right amount of cinnamon and sugar.
No wonder he ate ten of them.
You finish eating in silence but you don't feel the need to fill it with anything other than the sound of your breathing; Eddie doesn't either and for who knows how long you sit side by side, watching tiny snowflakes lazily fall from the sky. They dot his dark hair with spots of white and a laugh slips from your mouth before you can stop it.
"What?" He turns your way and you just shake your head as you reach over and brush some flakes from the ends of his curls.
"The snow in your hair, it kinda looks like powdered sugar."
"Oh, so you think I'm sweet?" He waggles his eyebrows and you laugh so hard you have to lean on his shoulder to keep from falling over. The arm he has resting behind you's now fully pressed against your back and it feels like a live wire running along your spine.
"I never said that!"
"But you implied it." Your breath catches as he gently brushes some snow from your hair as well, the warm, calloused pads of his fingers glancing along your face. "And good thing 'cause I think you're sweet, too."
You suddenly get the feeling you've missed something very very important as you scoot away just far enough to turn and face Eddie fully. Down below, your classmates flood out onto the back deck to wait for the fireworks as the new year approaches but you could care less, all of your focus right in front of you on big brown eyes and tiny freckles and a beautifully devastating smile.
"Me?" You speak quietly into the cold air, the question forming swirling white wisps that float above your heads for a fleeting second before disappearing into the night.
You could elaborate but you don't have to because you know he knows exactly what you mean as his hand hovers in the air between you for a long moment before he finally reaches forward and tucks a loose strand of hair behind your ear.
"I thought I was being obvious." He says, a red hue coloring his cheeks that you know now is definitely not from the cold.
"Why?"
"Why did I think I was being obvious? Henderson, I'm gonna play Earth, Wind & Fire for you!"
"No, why do you…why me?"
It makes him pause, a gentle furrow to his brow, and the way he says your name so softly makes your heart skip a beat.
"Because you're you."
A minute to midnight is a pretty fucking weird time to have an epiphany but you've never had good timing.
"Oh."
It's like something just clicks, the last piece of the puzzle you didn't even know you were trying to solve slotting into place and it all makes such perfect sense you're not sure how you didn't see it before.
"I know you're into Harrington," Eddie says hastily, eyes darting away from yours for just a second before they come right back, wide and honest in the dark. "And I get it if you never want to speak to me again 'cause I just made things super weird but-"
"I'm not into Steve."
You don't know how he makes confusion look so cute but he does, eyebrows knit together and making a little wrinkle in his forehead that's just visible under his bangs. "You're not?"
"I thought I was but…" You trail off as more and more people flood outside, their voices loud and full of excitement as the countdown begins. "Turns out I'm falling for someone else and I finally figured out who."
"Ten, nine, eight."
You scoot closer, sitting on your knees so your face is level with his when you reach out to brush some more snow from his hair, letting your fingers graze over his cheek like the ghost of a kiss. "Sorry it took me so long to catch up."
"Seven, six, five."
"Oh. It's okay." He sputters, a brilliant red flush slowly crawling up his neck like ivy. "I mean, I've liked you for a while now, ever since you joined the band when I was in eighth grade-"
"Four."
"-and you sat in front of me with your trumpet, wearing a Judas Priest shirt and I-"
"Eddie?" You interrupt because as much as you want to hear the rest of his story, you've got a more important thing on your mind.
"Three."
"Yeah?"
"Two."
"Please stop talking."
His jaw snaps shut almost comically and he watches with those wide eyes of his as you slowly cup his face in your hands.
"One."
The clock strikes midnight. The first firework shoots off from downtown and explodes in a brilliant flash of shimmering gold in the inky black sky. And you lean forward and kiss Eddie Munson.
The fireworks overhead are nothing compared to the ones you feel when he responds to your kiss with one of his own, his lips soft and sure under yours as he wraps an arm around your waist to pull you closer.
He tastes like cinnamon sugar, spicy and sweet, and you can't get enough of him, of his warmth and his fingers sliding into your hair and the noise he makes low in his throat when you part your lips under his.
Kissing him is addicting, intoxicating. It's all you've ever wanted.
He's all you ever wanted.
You were just too blind to see it.
He's all you can see now when you finally part, all swollen lips and flushed cheeks and a smile that would've taken your breath if you had any left to give. The fireworks are long over but you don't even care that you missed the whole show as you lean forward to press your forehead against his.
"So, eighth grade, huh?" You ask and Eddie nods, rolling a strand of your hair between his thumb and pointer finger.
"You were humming 'Highway to Hell' and had holes in your jeans. And when I heard you talking about learning to play DnD for your little brother? That was it for me."
"I was nervous when I first joined band 'cause I had trouble staying on beat. I was so scared they were gonna kick me out." You say and when a snowflake lands on his cheek, you wipe it away with your thumb. "But I heard you tapping your foot behind me and you helped me keep time. Without you, I don't even know if I'd still be playing."
He tucks your hair behind your ear before taking your cold hands in his and bringing them to his mouth to kiss your knuckles, his touch so soft and sweet it makes your head spin.
"Your hands are freezing."
"I don't want to go home yet."
You could stay like this forever with him and when he leans forward to press his lips to yours, you know he feels the same.
"Where to then?"
He's never looked more beautiful to you, his pretty brown eyes blown wide and full of affection and reflecting the shimmer of the stars overhead and a slow smile creeps onto your lips when you weave your fingers between his.
"Surprise me. I'm all yours."
An adorable pink blush sweeps across his nose as he pulls you in for another kiss and you know without a doubt you're speaking the truth.
You know you mean every word.

Fooled round & fell in love
Tumblr media
Eddie Munson x fem!reader
summary: you’re in love with your best friend but your best friend thinks love is for losers, choosing to sleep around rather than settle down. You’ve had enough and you’re ready to move on from your feelings, luckily you find someone who might make that possible but does Eddie really hate love as much as he leads on?
warnings: fuck boy eddie, afab reader, cursing, eventual smut, might drag this friends to lovers thing out as much as I can or maybe reader will end up with Randy, who knows?
A/N: this is my first fic ever so be nice 🥹👉🏻👈🏻please reblog and comment it would mean everything to me. Also, got the idea of Randy’s name from randy rhoads 🖤
Thank you @myobmaya for reading this and giving me tips before posting, I love you!💗
——————————————————————-
“Oh my god! Fuck, I’m so sorry!” You screeched out over the loud music playing in your best friends van, you slammed the door.
Still trying to take in what you had just seen, tears forming in your eyes and that familiar feeling of jealousy twisting at your insides. You decide to not torture yourself any longer and instead of going back in to the seedy bar with the rest of your friends you start your long stride home, unlucky for you, your walk is accompanied by racing thoughts of your best friend on top of some groupie. You’re not stupid, you know Eddie is a slut, he all but brags to you about his recent conquests, but you’ve never been faced with it like this, and even though you’re hopelessly in love with him, you can’t help but feel guilty for your feelings.
You and Eddie have been best friends since middle school when he was awkward and had that damn buzz cut. You had fallen in love with him sophomore year, you two had been almost inseparable but at that time he was also gaining a bit of a reputation as a “man whore” if you will
he enjoyed sleeping with different girls but always insisted love and relationships just weren’t for him, so of course you would do everything you could to hide your feelings, last thing you would want to do is fuck up your friendship and you’ve made yourself believe having Eddie in your life in any form is enough, but you’re not so sure about that anymore.
After making your way home from the hideout you decide you need a shower and some sleep, and to just forget about all this bullshit that won’t stop swirling around in your head. But of course not even a hot shower can help you cleanse your mind of that picture. You tell yourself you have no right to be jealous or angry, you’re not his girlfriend and never will be, but it still hurts.
After your shower you throw on some pajamas, brush your hair, put your Rainbow tape in your Walkman and blast stargazer until you drifted off to sleep.
————————-
It’s been two days since you talked to Eddie which wasn’t completely out of the norm being that you’ve graduated and it’s summer you don’t see him regularly like you’re use to but this is the longest you’ve gone without hearing his voice as you usually talk to him nightly on the phone. He’s called a few times but you had your mom tell him you weren’t home. You just can’t deal with any of it right now and you know if you see him you’ll let your feelings for him slip and mess up everything. So for now you’re sitting in bed listening to music, all you wanna do at the moment is get high and forget these feelings you can’t seem to shake but you usually get your weed from Eddie and that’s just not an option at the moment, as you physically shake that idea from your head, you remember someone else that can help supply you with what you need.
As you walk up to the front door of the familiar house you’ve come to many times as Eddie re-upped on his supply.
You take a deep breathe before you knock, a little uncomfortable given the fact that every time you did come with Eddie, Rick insisted on being flirty and a little handsy with you, but you were desperate for something to just ease your mind and relax you.
After three tentative knocks the door swings open.
“Y/n?” “Long time no see, what can I do for you?”
He looks around behind you, you think he’s probably looking for Eddie since you’ve never come here alone but you don’t give it a second thought.
You walk in and notice a couple guys sitting at the dining room table probably doing a quick deal too, you recognize them from school but they had long graduated before you. One of them catches your eye, you’ve definitely seen him around, he’s got long blonde curly hair, an Angel Witch band tee on, some dark blue jeans and high top adidas. Of course you’re fawning over another metal head “what the fuck is wrong with me?” You think to yourself. But before you give it anymore thought the man turns to you and says
“hey, aren’t you Eddie’s girl?”
You physically cringe at that.
“Um, n-no I’m not, w-we’re just friends”
“Really fucking smooth!” You internally scream at yourself.
He flashes you the most beautiful smile that makes your stomach flutter
“Oh! Good, good”
You’re kind of confused with that because, why is that good? But you don’t question it.
After Rick hands you your dime bag and you hand him the money you give a quick “thanks” as you turn around and walk out the door shutting it and walking down the drive way
when you get halfway down, you hear the door open and someone call your name.
“Hey, Y/n!”
You turn around to see that same beautiful smile that makes his eyes slant a bit, you swear this man could be Robert Plant and Dave mustaine’s love child “god was he gorgeous” you thought.
You raise your eyebrows as they disappear behind your bangs with a small wave and a side smile, could you be anymore awkward?
He puts his hand out and says “I’m Randy”
You already knew his name as he was three grades above you at Hawkins, but he’s definitely gotten a lot hotter after high school.
You smile and say “yeah we went to Hawkins together, but you were a senior when I was a freshman.”
He nods “yeah, yeah I know, just wasn’t sure if you did. So anyways, I was wondering if I could get your number and maybe we could hang out sometime?”
You return the wide smile as you try your best to stay calm and collected “y-yeah, that would be cool, but I don’t have a pen.” You say with slight disappointment
“Oh shit, um I think I have one in my car” He says as he turns around heading to the red Pontiac firebird, your jaw drops for a second because holy shit, his car is almost as sexy as him!
He turns around shaking the pen in his hand, like he’s just won some kind of prize, that makes you chuckle a bit.
He hands you the pen and his arm for you to scribble your number on, when you’re finished you give him a flirty little smirk as you say “I’ll talk to you later”
You turn around to start your way back home, but as you start he stops you again.
“Did you walk here?”
You nod
“Yeah, but it’s no big deal, I don’t live too far.”
He looks you up and down and then shakes his head “Get in, I’ll give you a ride.”
“You really don’t have to” you spit out
“I know I don’t have to, but I want to” he says while nodding his head over to his car silently telling you to get in.
You decide the best way to get over Eddie is by spending time with someone new, okay maybe not the most logical idea but anything’s better than being alone with your thoughts at the moment
and Randy seemed sweet and charming, possibly the perfect enough candidate to help you move on.
———————————
It’s been two weeks and you’ve successfully avoided Eddie Munson at all costs. He’s called, he’s dropped by your house and you’ve had your mom consistently tell him you just haven’t been home much lately. Half of that is true.
You’ve been on three dates with Randy so far, and you really hit it off, he’s really sweet, and super funny but that little nagging in your brain keeps telling you “he’s not Eddie!” and “he’ll never be Eddie!” You can’t help it you’ve been in love with him for 3 and half years now, and you’re only human
but you think you can learn to fall for Randy and maybe even eventually those feelings will over shadow the ones you have for Eddie
only time will tell, but for now you just want to have fun.
So here you are getting ready for a party Randy had invited you to, it was a mutual friend of Randy and Ricks so you knew there was a strong possibility Eddie would also be there as he never turned down an opportunity to get some fast cash.
You decided you wanted to look hot, hotter than hot! So you threw on something you never had the balls to leave the house in, a long bell sleeved shirt that tied in the front exposing lots of skin, you paired it with a black pleated skirt and some black thigh high socks and some chunky ankle boots. You did your makeup natural but with some winged liner and lashes, you took your hair out of the curlers and shook your head upside down a couple times trying to elicit the most amount of body before spraying it with hairspray and finally spritzing yourself with some perfume.
You never went out of your way to get yourself this ready, but you loved it, made you feel kind of empowered in a way.
By the time you were fully finished getting ready you heard a knock at the door and since no one was home you rushed downstairs to answer it, but it was not who you were expecting.
“Y/N?!” Eddie said while looking you up and down with an unreadable expression on his face
“Eddie? What are you doing here?”
You asked wide eyed and with a slight annoyed edge to your voice
“You’ve been avoiding me!”
He says while pushing his way inside your house
“I haven’t been avoiding you, I’ve been busy”
A little lie, but he doesn’t need to know that.
“Busy doing what?” He looks you up and down again
“I’ve been seeing someone, and we’ve been hanging out a lot recently, he’s actually on his way here right now, so you should probably go”
Eddie looks like a kicked puppy for a quick second but tries to fight it off before you can see by putting on a fake smile
“Oh yeah? Who’s the lucky guy?”
As soon as those words leave his mouth you hear a car pull up in your driveway, you know it’s Randy and you really wanted to avoid this whole interaction for a little bit longer, but it was no use now.
You ignore Eddie and decide to just let him see who it is for himself. Eddie knew who Randy was, they were acquaintance’s at best, but never enough to call each other friends, plus Randy was older and cooler than Eddie, or atleast that’s how Eddie felt.
So when he finally knocked on the door and you answered it, he stood there with flowers in hand looking at you all bug eyed, taking you all in with his mouth hanging open. Eddie let out a low scoff, almost low enough for you not to catch but you did.
If you would’ve let yourself you would’ve overthought that scoff until your head hurt
Because what the hell is his problem? he has no reason to feel any type of way about anyone you choose to talk to, after you’ve sat back and heard him talk about girl after girl, he had no right to say anything about Randy!
“Hey Eddie, what’s up?” Randy says
Eddie just tilts his head up slightly to give him a silent “what’s up” and then turns his attention back on you
But you turn around taking the flowers out of Randy’s hand and giving him a quick peck on the lips.
“These are beautiful, babe! Thank you”
Eddie visibly cringes at the pet name.
You didn’t see it but Randy definitely did, so just to rile him up a bit more Randy tells you
“You look fucking incredible, baby! Maybe we should just skip the party and go back to my place?”
He says with a joking edge to his voice. You and Randy have gone to second base but have not gone all the way yet and you were maybe hoping tonight would be the night
You really just wanted to get over Eddie and you thought by sleeping with Randy you’d have a better chance, so you and him have talked about it and even had phone sex a couple nights ago, so what he said wasn’t completely out of left field but it made you feel weird him saying it in front of Eddie, even though you literally walked in on Eddie and some girl fucking a couple weeks ago.
God you’ve done everything you can to get that image out of your head, just for it to be brought right back
“But I’m really excited for the party!” You say with your best doe eyes.
“Oh you guys are going to Eric’s party?” Eddie interrupts while standing there looking rather awkward
“Yeah we are, are you?” You ask
“Um, yeah I was gunna stop buy for an hour or so just to sell, make some quick cash, ya know?”
Eddie says while scratching the back of his neck
You nod.
“Well I guess we’ll see you there” Randy says trying to end the weird tension.
Eddie looks at you one last time with the same expression as earlier, almost like longing mixed with a hint of jealousy. But you’re a chronic over thinker and professional self doubter so that’s probably not it at all.

In another life | Eddie Munson fic
Tumblr media
Summary: Eddie bumps his head after a fight with you and experiences two separate dreams of what his life could be like if things with you were different. When he wakes up back in your arms afterwards, he learns to appreciate what he has.
Word count - 6620

━━━━━━━━━♡♥♡━━━━━━━━━
One of your favorite parts of the Christmas season was all the celebrating that came with it. The movies, the snacks, the hot drinks to keep you warm in the cold weather. All of it. That paired with the joy of having someone you adored to spend it with, made your entire month perfect.
Only, this year you didn’t get to share them as much as you would like with your boyfriend. Instead, you spent a lot of time with his Uncle while Eddie worked. He would usually join you when he got home in the evenings, cuddle you on the couch while a movie played on the TV, sometimes even falling asleep on you from such a long day. Even though it wasn’t exactly what you were craving, you still cherished that he wanted to be close to you and spend any spare time he had with you.
You thought today would be just like that. Mugs of hot chocolate were on the coffee table, one waiting and ready for him when he got back. Gremlins played on the TV in front of you and Wayne, the two of you entranced in the cliché story. You heard the front door open, what with the faulty lock that made it so difficult to pry open, but you didn’t hear the sigh he let out as he tried to pull off his heavy boots.
“Hey, missed you today. Do you wanna join us?” you asked, kindly, flashing him a smile over the back of the couch.
He shook his head, struggling with the laces on his shoes that he couldn't seem to undo. With a huff, he gave up, deciding he’d ask you for help or something. “Not tonight. Just want to take a hot shower and then go straight to bed. ‘M tired.” You could hear the exhaustion in his tone and all you wanted to do was bring him into your arms and make him feel better.
You frowned. “You could still do that, but you could sleep here. Just spend time with us, y’know. Haven’t seen you all day.” It felt like you hadn’t seen him a lot at all actually recently.
It was an innocent enough request. You hadn’t meant anything by it, but he did take it to heart. It felt like a criticism from you and he was far too tired to listen to you tell him all the different things he should do to make himself better. “Can you get off my back? I said no,” he snapped, practically hissing at you.
Both yours and Wayne’s eyes widened immensely. Eddie had almost never spoken to you this way, and you had no idea why he was starting to. “What?” you asked, chuckling a little bit at the confusion you felt.
He didn’t seem to find it funny at all. He ignored you, back to fighting with the laces that kept his boots tightly secured to his feet. By the second he was growing more and more frustrated, and it was due to the fact he’d had such a long day and now when he was supposed to be able to finally relax, things were piling up again that were getting him heated. Why wouldn’t the shoes just come off? What kind of witchcraft was keeping them on his feet? He was positive he had never once struggled this much with a pair of dumb shoes. And why did you have this sudden need to cling to him when he didn’t want you to?
“Eddie, calm down,” Wayne advised. He knew it wouldn’t go well if he started a fight over something so dumb.
It didn’t seem like he planned on taking the advice that was offered to him, instead he was going to make the situation a thousand times worse. “I said, get off my back. I don’t want to watch the stupid movie!”
A quiet gasp tumbled out of your mouth at the bluntness. “Eddie, it was just a suggestion. There’s no need to–” You were going to say something about how there was no need to blow up or overreact, but you thought your choice of words might be poor. Knowing your luck, it would only serve to make him even more angry.
He was looking at you with nothing but rage in his gaze. “There’s no need to, what?”
The more he acted rudely towards you, the less you worried about protecting his feelings. If he wanted to be an asshole then you weren’t going to coddle him by any means, you’d let him, and you wouldn’t hold back when it came to giving him the same sort of attitude. It wasn’t like you were in the wrong here, you hadn’t even done anything. “There’s no need to yell at me like a complete dick!”
“Excuse me?”
Neither of you had noticed how Wayne was looking between the two of you, shifting uncomfortably. At first he thought this would just blow over. Maybe Eddie would apologize for snapping, or you would just give up on trying to fight with him, and at that point he’d shrunk into the couch and made himself as small as possible. But then no one stopped, you both kept shouting back at one another. That was when he knew he had to leave– when it became too uncomfortable to bear.
“I’ll be… in the other room,” the older Munson excused himself, shooting the two of you one final nervous glance before he took his mug of coffee and left you to it.
Wayne tried not to bother himself with your fights when an argument would occur. You were young, and in love, but that didn’t mean you were going to agree on everything all the time. It was none of his business when the two of you would yell at each other over something dumb, even if it was happening in the middle of his living room. He would always lock  himself away in his room, or even leave until the two of you were done and happy to make up. There had rarely been an occasion where he thought he might need to step in. His nephew would never hurt you. But today he’d seemed to be in a foul mood and he was a little more concerned than normal, his hand hovering over the doorknob just in case.
“Look what you did. You made Wayne uncomfortable,” you pointed out. He scoffed, loudly enough that Wayne actually heard it in the other room.
“Oh, I did that? Not you and your incessant nagging?”
His words cut deep, and you wanted nothing more than to knock some sense into him so he’d drop the attitude. He’d already scared off Wayne, he didn’t really need to be making the situation any worse for himself. If he was smart in any way, he would apologize now and the two of you could move on like nothing happened.
“If you want to turn this into a big fight because you’re angry at the world or whatever, then we can. But I’d recommend apologizing while you still can, you ass.” That should have been his sign, but for some reason his thoughts were clouded and he didn’t notice.
“What is your problem? Have you been holding all this anger back, just waiting for a moment to yell at me or something?” he hissed.
You grumbled. It wasn’t like you could’ve snapped if you wanted anytime soon, he was never home. “You’re avoiding me lately anyway, asshole,” you said. There had been a lot more late nights than usual lately, and it scared you. You hadn’t ever thought Eddie would be the kind of guy to cheat on you, but the thought was crossing your mind more and more as the days passed. It felt like you’d barely seen him these last few weeks. “You’re always working. If you are actually where you say you are.”
There was an eye roll, a scoff and then he was taking off. Your eyes widened, watching in disbelief as he approached the front door of the trailer. He didn’t even hesitate to throw it open, not looking back at you as he descended the steps.
“Where are you going?” you hissed. “Are you really just gonna walk away rather than talk about this?” You thought he was being childish. He had come home and started the fight with you in the first place, and now he wasn’t enough of a grown up to talk it out with you so you could get to the bottom of it? It was incredibly frustrating.
You followed him to the door, watching as he took off, ignoring his van like he was going to walk to wherever he was going.
Eddie was in such a haste that he hadn’t noticed the ice covering the floor. When coming into the house, only from his van, it was easy to avoid, but now that he was going further, out into the open part of the trailer park with no destination in mind, it wasn’t so easily avoidable.
His feet went out from under him when they came in contact with the slippery floor. You gasped at the sight, watching as he landed flat on his back, head coming in contact with the floor under him– hard. That had to at least be a concussion. “Oh, my god. Eddie!”
»»——⍟——««
Eddie had no idea how he ended up outside the Harrington home. The last he remembered, he was just leaving the trailer, you in tow yelling at him to come back, but you were nowhere to be seen, and nothing explained why he didn’t remember the journey of getting there. The sound of a female voice startled him, as well as the hand on his arm. It was definitely not your voice.
“You ready to go in, honey?” she asked.
His eyes bulged when they landed on Nancy Wheeler, clinging to him like she wasn’t completely disgusted by his presence all of a sudden. He was painfully confused. “What? Nancy?” He was looking at her like she was crazy, and it made her laugh.
“What’s wrong? Are you feeling okay, honey?” He hated that she kept calling him that. She raised her hand, setting her palm on his forehead to check if he had a fever. “No fever. Did you hit your head or something?”
“I’m fine.” He tried to brush off her touch, not wanting you to appear and find her clinging to him like this. It seemed if anyone had bumped their head it was her, not him. Never in his life had she even spoken this many words to him, or looked at him for so long in one sitting. He didn’t know what alternate universe he was suddenly in, but he didn’t like it one bit. She just rolled her eyes at his odd behavior, deciding to keep her hands to herself if he was in a weird mood. “Come on, they’re waiting for us.”
His feet kicked into gear before his brain did. He hadn’t even realized they were moving at first, but then the red door of the home was growing closer to him.
A fake smile was plastered on Nancy’s annoyed face as the door was pulled open by Steve. He was grinning, and he looked happier than Eddie had ever seen him. He invited the pair in, greeting him like they were the oldest of friends. He was even pulled into a hug by Harrington, which was far from their usual dynamic. By now there would have been at least three insults thrown either way in normal circumstances. It was horrible.
“We’re so glad you guys could make it.”
He led the pair inside to the table, and Nancy grumbled under her breath when Eddie didn’t pull her chair out for her. He didn’t think he had ever done that for anyone, he might like to think he was a gentleman, but that was something he’d never considered.
The two sat side by side, as Steve bustled around trying to pour drinks for them both. Eddie was still waiting in anticipation for the arrival of the other mentioned person of the Harrington household. Other than Nancy– who was apparently involved with Eddie– he had no idea of another person his friend had ever been truly interested in. It was driving him crazy to try and work it out.
Thankfully, he didn’t have to wait long though, for Steve called for his lover, who came wandering out of the kitchen with a bowl of food in hand. Whatever it was, it smelled good.
He gasped at the sight of you, dressed in the ugliest Christmas sweater he’d ever seen, and a long hideously colored skirt that you would usually fake a gag at when shopping. There was an apron thrown over the top of your clothes, and if he looked close enough, he could see a bump that wasn’t usually there.
He almost choked on his drink, which earned him some weird looks.
“You okay, Eddie?” you asked, grinning at Steve as he peeled the apron from your figure. He muttered something about you being silly and forgetful and it made the metalhead sick to watch. Never in his life had he wanted to see you so in love with another person.
There were many things he could have said, should have said. There were also a lot of things he wanted to ask, but he wasn’t sure if he could. This whole thing felt like a big, cruel prank, but he couldn’t fathom why any of you would do such a thing to him. Unfortunately, the only thing he could think of was probably the dumbest thing possible. “You’re pregnant?” he blubbered.
Kids were something you and he– well not this you, but you you– had talked about before. It wasn’t always a frequent topic of conversation, what with considering the two of you lived in a trailer with his uncle and definitely didn’t make enough money (even combined) to raise a child. Seeing you pregnant felt a little like an out of body experience.
He watched as you grew a little embarrassed, incredibly familiar with the look by now. But the look on Steve’s face was nothing but pure joy. He reached his hand over to your midsection, cupping the small bump and beaming. “We were gonna tell you guys tonight. Didn’t think you’d notice.” Apparently he hadn’t realized how painfully obvious it was.
“Congratulations,” Nancy gushed.
After the supposed ‘good’ news, the dinner started as normal. The three ate while Eddie just uncomfortably stared at them, trying to figure out what alternate universe he’d been transported to. No one noticed for a while, just continuing on with normal conversation about the pregnancy and baby stuff that he really didn’t want to be involved in. The way the woman beside him kept referring to him and their everyday lives like this wasn’t the weirdest thing that had ever happened to him, it was only serving to make him more uncomfortable.
He barely realized when the conversation had been shifted to a topic about him. “So, Eddie, how’s your Uncle?”
His face contorted into one of confusion, his head cocking to the side a little as he looked at Harrington– well he guessed you were somehow both Harringtons if that large ring on your finger had anything to say about it. “My Uncle? Wayne?”
Nancy placed a hand over his, trying to lace her fingers with his. He didn’t want her too though, shooting her a look as he tried to pull it away. She glared, gritting her teeth as though it would stop Eddie from acting like a child in front of their friends. As soon as he gave up, slumping down in his seat, she plastered a false look of sympathy on her face. He was honestly shocked how quickly she could fake emotion like that. And it made him realize that whatever she was about to say about Wayne, she didn’t feel as sad about it as she was making out.
“He’s taken a turn for the worse. We don’t know if he’ll make it to Christmas day,” she explained.
Eddie’s eyes widened, head snapping her way. “What? What are you talking about!”
She spared him a glance, pouting her lips. “He’s not taking the news too well.”
This was the metalhead’s worst fear. He couldn’t take this fake lovey dovey, happy family act anymore. He didn’t know what this was, but it was far from funny by now. His hands came down onto the table, standing up from his seat like he was about to make a statement. All eyes shot to him, conversation stopping amongst the three. Eddie began to feel uncomfortable knowing he’d created a scene, but there was no stopping now, he had to speak his mind. “What is going on here?”
His girlfriend or whatever the Wheeler girl was supposed to be, gasped at this. “What is going on with you? Everything’s fine,” Nancy said, embarrassed by his display. She hated that he seemed to be acting out like this, he was really ruining the image they created for themselves in front of the most put together couple they knew. She had no idea how they were supposed to come back from this little breakdown of his.
“It’s not fine!” he insisted, raising his voice. “None of this is real! It-it’s some kind of sick joke.” By the minute he was growing more and more frustrated.
His distress was only trebled when you began to show him the care he was so used to seeing. You reached over the table, setting your hand over his in the hopes it may bring him a little bit of comfort. It didn’t, it actually only made him feel a hell of a lot worse. “Maybe you should go lie down or something,” you advised.
He shook his head. “No, I’m not gonna lay down, I need you to tell me what the hell is going on,” he groaned, bringing his hands up to pull at his hair.
“Eddie, you need to calm down, you’re going to–” You didn’t get the opportunity to finish your sentence before the man started feeling dizzy. He reached his hand out to hold onto something so that he wouldn’t fall, but it didn’t help as much as he’d wished it would. Within seconds he was stumbling and landing on the floor for the second time that day, hitting his head on something on the ground. He found himself unable to focus on all the faces that appeared in his cloudy line of sight. But the last thing he remembered seeing was a look of concern on your features as you called his name.
»»——⍟——««
The next time Eddie woke up, he was terrified of the idea that he was still in the same awful situation. But as he looked around, he noticed the small signs of this being his room– just a hell of a lot tidier. He was relieved to be out of the nightmare that was being married to Nancy Wheeler, while watching the love of his life be all lovey dovey with Steve Harrinton. It was very literally torture; he couldn’t think of anything worse. He had no idea why his brain thought of such a thing, or had to impose it in his thoughts.
He was slow when pushing himself into a sitting position in his bed, worried that the two occasions where he’d hit his head might have made him a little dizzy. He didn’t want to make anything worse than it was, or be taken back to that awful dream. “Y/N?” he called, quietly, testing the waters to make sure you were actually here.
There were the sounds of feet padding towards the bedroom, and he let out such a large sigh of relief when he saw that you were standing in the doorway with a smile on your face. There was something different about you still– and he was so confused as to why you weren’t angry with him after the fight– but he was just happy to see you more than anything. “Morning, sleepyhead,” you greeted.
“I am so glad to see you,” he gushed, laughing quietly as he opened his arms to beckon you over. The grin on your face was wide and made his chest feel all warm and fuzzy.
You didn’t waste any time, happy to find yourself tucked into his side comfortably. This was a warmer greeting than you were expecting to receive, but you weren’t planning on arguing about it. “You practically passed out when you got home yesterday,” you said, trying to untangle some of the knots that had accumulated in his hair while he slept– that was the first sign to Eddie that something was wrong. His hair wasn’t all in his face like usual, and your hands remained on top of his head rather than following his curls down his shoulders. “So, there’s a couple people who’d like to see you.”
You called a ‘come on’ and then the door was being pushed open and someone else was entering. Another couple sets of feet were not what he was expecting. He thought maybe you’d gotten a dog or something that he just couldn’t remember. He was positive he would have remembered having two kids though– even their faces (though a clear perfect mix of you and him) were unfamiliar to him.
The two climbed onto the bed, calling for him and throwing their arms around him. Despite his confusion, he didn’t want to make them feel bad, so he hugged them back tightly. They seemed comfortable in his arms, especially the little one who was curled into him.
“Lisa had something she wanted to ask,” you told him, twirling the girl’s curly hair around your fingers.
Okay, so Lisa was the taller one, the one he was assuming was older. He couldn’t say he was a fan of the name, he didn’t know where it had come from, but in all your talks about kids that had never come up. He liked the idea of more fun and ‘cool’ names. Lisa just wasn’t an Eddie sort of name.
“Will you come and build a snowman outside with me and Maggie before dinner?” she was asking so shyly, like there was a large chance of him saying no than saying yes. He couldn’t actually imagine a world where he’d say no— even if he was apparently in it— he used to love building snowmen with Wayne as a little boy.
So the other one was Maggie. For a second his brow furrowed, was this the fucking Simpsons or something?
He looked between the two sets of puppy eyes, same as his own, and he knew he couldn’t say no. “Yeah, of course.”
The two squealed, running out of the run, no doubt to throw their warm winter clothes on for the snow. You turned to him with a bright grin, thanking him for doing it for them. It was that that made him believe he didn’t do it a lot from your perspective, and it made his heart sink to think he wasn’t the husband he always promised you he would be one day. If this was the path your life was going to take, then something must go really wrong at some point. He hated the idea of something taking a turn for the worst and ruining your relationship.
Your voice snapped him out of all those bad thoughts. “You need to get up Mr Lazy, we have family coming,” you told him. It was supposed to be a reminder, but considering he didn’t know anything right now, it was news to him.
“We do?”
“Yeah. They always come on Christmas eve. You have the memory of a goldfish I swear.”
He grumbled a little, at the idea of having to fake a smile and personality that wasn’t his all night, but nonetheless climbed out of the warm bed. It must be new, or at least not his old one, because it felt so much more comfortable than normal.
Itd been while he was passing the mirror on the way to his closet that he caught sight of his hair, and it spurred a feeling of distress in his chest. “My hair!” he whined, refusing to tear his eyes away from the sight of it in the mirror. “What happened to it?”
You chuckled, finding it amusing that he was genuinely horrified. “It’s just tangled. Run your fingers through it for a while, sweetheart. It’ll be fine.”
“No. My long hair. Where’d it go?”
Now was your turn to look slightly horrified. It was the first time he’d looked away from himself in the mirror since first glancing its way as he got out of bed. He didn’t know why you looked so disgusted. “We cut it off years ago Ed. You decided it was immature and too much of a hassle.”
He had said the latter before, but the only issue was that he never actually meant it. He loved his hair, more than so many things in his life and even if he got frustrated with it sometimes, he would never cut it off. He found it hard to believe that he would ever be boring or lazy enough to actually go through with cutting it off like he always claimed he was going to. “Oh. Yeah, silly me.” He had to try and play it off like he knew, so you didn’t think he was up to something.
Apparently you didn’t know him well enough to be able to tell that he was acting all weird.
This weird behavior continued all day long and it took you a while to realize that something was going on with him. He wasn’t reciprocating anything like usual, not your love or the kids’. You’d yet to ask him about it, wondering if he’d just had an off day or woken up on the wrong side of the bed or something. If it hadn’t changed by tomorrow then you’d definitely have to ask what his problem was, this wasn’t exactly in the Christmas spirit. You’d at least hoped by the time dinner rolled around he would be a little less strange. You didn’t want your guests to be weirded out by his behavior.
He, with the help of your eldest kid, who he’d learned through some very sneaky questions to be seven, was setting the table while you made dinner. He was happy to help, and tend to the other child, the five year old, whenever she needed it.
You’d pop in every now and then to talk, but it was never anything important, not until just before your guests were due to arrive. “Oh, before I forget, Dustin called and said he couldn’t make it,” you informed him. “I-If I’m being completely honest, I sort of expected it. It’s not like he ever even tries to make it when we make plans with him.”
He didn’t have a single idea of what you were talking about. Dustin was always on time or showing up hours early to plans, whether he was the one to make them or not. The kid used to beat him to Hellfire sometimes. “What do you mean? Why would he not come?”
“Well, after everything that happened with Steve–”
He cut you off, with a little bit of urgency. “Wh-What happened with Steve?”
Your eyes flickered to his face, trying to gauge if he was serious. “Gosh Ed, did you hit your head or something, sweetheart?” you joked, throwing your arms around his neck. He’d never been so hesitant to touch you before. Usually, affection came easy to the two of you, but this didn’t feel right to him. “Steve, he-he didn’t make it out of the thing with the bats– back in eighty-six.”
He was under the impression that it was still eighty-six. It had never crossed his mind that it might be a different year. But he was struggling to come up with a way to ask you what year it was without finally pushing you over the edge of being suspicious to demanding to know what was wrong. “Right, yeah. That must be– How many years ago now?”
“Almost twelve years now,” you frowned. Nineteen-ninety seven, the thought of that was crazy. How could he have missed eleven years of his own life– especially when so much happened.
“Wow,” he muttered, letting you slip out of his grasp to head back to the kitchen so your food didn’t burn. Meanwhile Eddie needed to welcome the few guests that had knocked on your door. They only consisted of Wayne– who he was glad to see was doing well this time around– and his mom? He hadn’t seen the woman in many years, since he was a kid and she left him and his dad. He had no idea what she was doing here and he didn’t know how he was supposed to fake a reaction to that.
He hadn’t realized that he’d just been standing there staring, but the longer he did stand there, the more he noticed about them. The two looked happier than he’d ever seen them, and Wayne definitely had a hand on the woman’s back. Were they a couple?
You must have realized that they hadn’t been invited into your cozy trailer yet, making your way to the door where Eddie stood gaping at them like an idiot. “Sweetheart, you not gonna invite your poor parents in out of the cold?”
Parents. That word continued to ring through his mind as he stepped out of the way so they could come in. They immediately rushed for the children, the two babies happy to see them. His movements were sluggish as he closed the door behind them, watching what he thought was a sweet reuniting moment. The kids seemed so happy to see Wayne– and his mom, which told him she must come around often.
For the first part of dinner Eddie stayed quiet. He listened mainly, trying not to get too lost in his own head. But he thought if he listened, maybe he could get some sort of clue what the fuck was going on.
“So, how are my grandbabies?”
Wayne’s question sent Lisa into a whole spiel about math at her school. She sounded as though she really loved it– like almost as much as he loved D&D– and he really didn’t understand how this could be his child. He was a nerd, for sure he could admit that, but he wasn’t that level of nerd.
Eddie had never felt so soulless while sitting there at the dinner table, listening to the small child ramble on about things he couldn’t care less about. Maybe it was a horrible thing to say, especially if this was his life and these were the kids he’d helped bring into the world– but he just didn’t understand when things got so boring. You and he used to have so much fun, your similar personalities meaning you were always on the same page about so much stuff, how the hell did you become so stiff and boring after having kids, and why were they the same way? Oh no, was he the same way?
“Ed, you alright, sweetheart?” you asked, noticing he wasn’t participating in conversation like usual. On any other night he would be asking the kids all sorts of questions so he could engage with them.
He looked like he’d been caught doing something he shouldn’t. He felt bad, seeing the slightly dejected look on the youngest’s face, but he couldn’t sit there any longer and pretend like he didn’t hate every single second of this dinner– his usual favorite meal of the day too.
He faked a smile. “I, uh. I’m not feeling too good, I’m gonna go get some air.”
The concern on your features should have made him suck it up, at least you weren’t married to Harrington in this dream. He could live with boredom surely, it probably wasn’t that bad when you got used to it, and maybe he could convince you to come out of your shell a little bit, do more fun stuff. “Do you want me to come with you?”
“No, no it’s okay. Stay with the kids, entertain the guests and all that,” he assured.
You didn’t seem entirely convinced, but let him go nonetheless. He spared a last glance to the family sitting at the table, begging that this too was a horrible dream. He didn’t know why he couldn’t seem to catch a break, but it made him realize he needed to be much nicer to you whenever he escaped this trail of nightmares.
When he stepped outside he immediately regretted not bringing a jacket along with him. It was cold, painfully cold, but he didn’t feel like heading back inside to find one anywhere. Instead he just made his way down the dying lawn of the trailer park, where a car that definitely wasn’t his beloved van was sitting. “I can’t believe this is my life,” he whined, burying his head in his hands as he continued walking.
He didn’t know where he was going, and he probably should have checked, but he was too in his own head to remember to do so. If he’d been looking, he probably would have seen the same patch of ice that he originally slipped on laying in his path. For the second time, his foot went from under him and he wound up hitting his head on the ground due to the same bit of ice on the floor. “Not again,” he groaned.
»»——⍟——««
The third time Eddie woke up, he was scared. He didn’t want to sit up to find that the love of his life was married to another one of his friends, or that he was painfully miserable in a life with the person he adored most in the world. He wanted to go back to the way things were. He realized now that he’d been unfair and slightly ungrateful to you when you were arguing, but now he was willing to get on his needs to make a heartfelt apology if it meant things would go back to normal. He would literally get on his knees and beg for your forgiveness if that was what you wanted him to do.
He was planning on calling out to you to make sure you were there, but you were speaking before he could. “Hey, you’re awake,” you stated, breathing a deep sigh of relief. There was a cold towel or something pressed to his head by your hand. He wasn’t sure it was helping.
When he looked at you, you noticed something switch in his eyes. He went from being slow and drowsy to alert. He pushed himself up into a sitting position on the couch, which you tried to discourage him from doing considering he could potentially have a cousin from the hit on his head. “I’m so glad you’re here. You are regular you, right?”
Your brow furrowed. You had no idea what he was talking about. “I think so? You must have hit your head pretty hard, huh?”
You tried to begin fussing over him, but he grabbed your wrists to stop you from doing so. The look on his face seemed to be genuine, so you knew that he really was startled. “Please tell me you’re not married to Harrington, or that Wayne isn’t my dad, or that we don’t have really boring kids.”
His words only made you all the more bewildered. You assumed that he’d hit his head harder than you originally thought. “Eddie, what? None of those things are true. Are you okay?”
He sighed, slouching against you a little. There was an atmosphere of relief surrounding him, and you didn’t know what sort of crazy dreams he’d had but they clearly were very out of the ordinary. Right now it seemed like he just wanted you to hold him. All thoughts of the fight earlier pushed aside, you wrapped your arms around him, guiding his head against your chest and stroking his hair.
“My head is pounding.” That he’d expected. “How long was I out?”
You frowned, guiding your fingers through his curls. “A few hours. We were worried about you,” you told him. Only then did he realize Wayne was a few feet away, messing with his hands nervously as he watched his nephew regain his consciousness on the couch.
The memories of the fight the two of you had seemed to hit him then. Despite the heavy feeling in his head and the slight dizziness, he was overwhelmed with guilt. He didn’t even know why you were helping him considering the way he’d been awful to you. He had no right to be so rude just because he’d been having a bad day, and he knew he needed to apologize, especially if he ran the risk of losing you like he’d done more than once in his dreams today.
“I’m sorry,” he said, simply. “I want to watch Christmas movies with you and Wayne, and decorate the place and spend time with you. I swear. I didn’t mean anything I said. I’m so sorry.”
You shook your head. “You were an asshole, but I guess you paid a price for it, so…” you trailed off. The scoff he let out made a grin cross your face. But he supposed he deserved it.
“So I’m forgiven?” he asked, wanting to check.
You beamed harder, leaving his side momentarily. He didn’t know what you were doing, nor did Wayne by the looks of it. The two Munson’s just had to wait for you to come back from whatever you were doing rustling around within his room. When you came back you were carrying a familiar piece of red material, as well as the VHS of the exact film you’d be watching when he came home.
“Put this on and watch this with us, and you’re completely forgiven,” you promised.
Even though he didn’t really want to, he took the santa hat from you and sank it down onto his head. He looked positively adorable with the little frown and the fuzzy material on his head. He wouldn’t let you stand there and ‘admire’ him any longer though, if the two of you (plus Wayne if he wanted) were going to watch a movie, then he wanted to be as comfortable as possible cuddled on the couch with you. At least that way he could take a nap if he wanted to.
You didn’t protest, this was what you wanted to do. Since the moment he left for work that morning, you had wanted him to fall asleep on your shoulder like this as Gremlins played on the TV. It didn’t matter what was happening in the movie, not to you anyway, not when Eddie was snoring lightly with the cutest of smiles on his unconscious face.
You couldn’t help but wonder if these dreams were better than the ones he’d had earlier and were what was causing his smile. Little did you know, it wasn’t the dreams that were making him happy, it was his real life. Despite the fact that in those nightmares he was married to you, the two of you living out your lives together— this was a thousand times better than that. He seriously couldn’t ask for more from you than this.

This talk about Eddie giving head just reminds me of The Breakfast Club. There's a scene where the bad boy is hiding under the table and sees up Molly Ringwald's skirt and becomes entranced lol
The Good and the Bad

Eddie Munson x Fem!Reader
Warnings: NSFW, lil bit of angst in the form of Eddie being misunderstood by the general public, groping (m & f receiving), a little bit of over the clothes rubbing in a semi public place, a lil dirty talk
Eddie hiding underneath a table because he’s being chased by Principal Higgins who wants to search his lunch box. He’s scrambled into the chemistry classroom where you’re doing independent study and, upon seeing the harried look on his face, you push away from your work bench and let him dive for cover, no questions asked.
Thankfully this type of table / work bench has storage drawers on the other side, meaning Higgins can’t see Eddie crouched around your legs when he glances in through the doorway.
“Has Eddie Munson run through here?” Higgins asks brusquely and a little out of breath. You give him a polite smile and put down the test tubes that you’d clutched in an effort to look casually busy.
“No, I haven’t seen him, Principal Higgins,” you demure, innocent as possible. Eddie’s hand squeezes your knee in what you assume is gratitude.
From where he sits beneath the table, Eddie looks up and realizes that his position makes it impossible not to look up your skirt. It was a skirt he’d always liked from afar - all flounce and bright white, coming just to about mid-thigh. But what he’s realizing now is that he can also see your bright white panties from his current vantage point.
“You’ve been hanging around with Munson a lot though lately, haven’t you,” Higgins is saying accusingly from the doorway. Eddie swallows his scoff, or at least tries to in order to avoid giving himself away but a sound still comes out. You reach under the desk blindly and pull Eddie’s face against your thighs to silence him.
And suddenly he could die fucking happy.
“Not particularly,” you respond to Principal Higgins’ statement. “We’re scene partners in drama, but that’s it really.” It’s a bald faced lie and you feel Eddie shake with a silent chuckle from where you’re holding onto him by the back of his head.
You’ve been seeing Eddie romantically for a few weeks now. Ever since you were paired together to work on a scene for class and you’d invited him over to your house to rehearse.
He’d surprised you with his charm and with the intelligence that you hadn’t assumed he had what with his several repeated senior years.
You’d surprised him by grabbing him by the back of the neck and then kissing him on the second night you’d rehearsed together. He’d just been so animated and so bizarre and - if you were honest with yourself - so damn attractive. And you were a goody-two-shoes. Done everything by the book and followed all the rules. You’d never gotten to do what you wanted. And you’ve recently discovered that what you want is a boy who plays in a band, runs a D&D club and kisses you like it’s the last thing he’ll ever do.
Principal Higgins doesn’t need to know any of that of course, so you just shrug un-helpfully. Higgins shakes his head.
“A good student like you shouldn’t be exposed to a miscreant like him. I can talk to Mrs. Zimmer if you’d like a new partner, dear.”
“Eddie’s not a miscreant,” you disagree a little too quickly. You pause to bite your tongue, swallowing down the instinct to apologize or take it back. Instead you continue. “He’s actually a really good guy. You just don’t understand what you’re looking at when you see him.”
You feel Eddie’s hands come up and settle gently on the sides of your knees. You still have his face pressed into your thighs, but you interpret the silent gesture as one of thanks. It makes warmth course through your veins but you do your best to keep your face stern and trained on the man in the door way. Which is super fucking hard when all you want to do is glance down at the boy between your legs.
“As altruistic as those words are, my dear, I’m afraid Mr. Munson is going down a dark path.” Higgins says wearily, turning from the room to continue his search.
“Then maybe he needs someone to help him, rather than someone to punish him,” you retort.
“Not sure there’s a person alive who could save that boy,” Higgins gives a dismissive shrug. “Or really anyone who gives enough of a damn to do so.”
And with that, the principal stalks off. You fly from your chair and close the door, your fists clenched.
“What a fucking asshole!” You whisper scream, coming back to your seat. Eddie doesn’t crawl out from under the desk, instead he settles back on his haunches and looks up at you with a smirk you’ve never seen. It’s got you loosening your fists. “What?”
“You defended my honor, Princess.” Eddie reaches for your hands in your lap and intertwines your fingers.
“Well yeah of course. I wish I could’ve said more but I was worried I’d get emotional and blow your cover,” you grumble. Eddie’s thumb smooths over the back of your hand and the smirk widens into an even bigger smile.
“He’s right, you know.”
“About what?” You can’t help but extract one of your hands from his in order to run your fingers through his hair. He leans into the touch.
“That I’m a miscreant. A ne’er-do-well. A louse.”
“A scoundrel,” you offer, leaning down to being your face closer to his with a smile that matches his. Eddie comes up on his knees and shifts forward, pulling your legs apart to settle between them, hands smoothing over the tops of your thighs.
“Exactly,” he hums, leaning forward to place a chaste kiss to your lips. When he pulls back, his eyes are narrowed. “But he was wrong about you.”
“Me?” You ask, breathless already in spite of the lightness of the kiss.
“You come off as a goody goody, but here you sit. With the town scoundrel between your legs.”
His words cause your heart to race and you bite your lip to try and keep your expression even.
“I said you needed someone to help you. What if this is me helping you?” Your words are light. In stark contrast to the intensity of Eddie’s fingers gripping your thighs, his rings digging into your skin. You wish he’d grip harder.
“You think I’ll find redemption here?” Eddie asks, watching your eyes as his hand skims from the top of your thigh to the softer inner flesh, sliding under the hem of your skirt to trace designs into the front of your white panties with his finger tip. Your eyes widen, breath kicking in faster.
“The way I see it…we have two options.” Your voice is more steady than you thought it would be and it boosts your confidence. Eddie applies the lightest of pressure to your cloth-covered slit which is rapidly gathering slick under his hand and his gaze. He watches you expectantly, however, so you inhale and continue. “I could save you, Eddie Munson. Because unlike Higgins or any of those other people, I’m someone who gives a damn.”
Eddie’s eyelids flutter suddenly. He’s a little overwhelmed by the way you’re making him feel both vulnerable and turned on at the same time. He’s never known anyone like you and he’s not even sure how to process the warmth bleeding from his heart right now. So he surges forward and kisses you. Hard this time. You pull at his hair to drag him to you, deepening the kiss even further. Taking everything he gives you and taking even more in the process.
When the two of you break away for air, your glassy eyes are reflected in Eddie’s. His finger continues to trace shapes into your pussy and he finds himself biting back a smug grin over how damp the fabric has become.
“Or?” He prompts.
You shake your head, trying to remember what you’d been saying before he stole your breath and kissed you senseless.
“What was our second option, Princess?” He asks, leaning up again to speak the words into your lips.
“Or…” you reach underneath your skirt and grasp his wrist, pushing his hand more definitively against your core. “You could corrupt me. And we could be bad together.”
Suddenly your chair is pushed back as Eddie erupts out from under the desk, wrenching you up and into his arms. He presses you back against the wall behind you, his body slotting against yours while his lips attack your face, your mouth, your throat.
“We have to get the fuck out of here,” he groans urgently, though he makes no move to pull away from you. Your laugh is hoarse in response to the contradiction between his words and his actions.
“Why? You hear Higgins coming back for you?”
He grabs your hand then and shoves it between your bodies, squeezing to make you feel the sheer size and heaviness of his hardened length straining in his jeans.
“Because I don’t need to corrupt you. This is all you, baby.”
His words scratch a part of your brain that makes your entire body shudder in his arms. He hadn’t called you ‘baby’ before and you find yourself both cupping him in your hand and grinding yourself against his thigh in response.
“Getting me hard in a classroom. Is that what good students do? Is that what a good girl does?”
If ‘baby’ scratched your brain, ‘good girl’ slapped you across the face in the best way. You moan openly and kiss any part of him you can reach, which currently is his throat.
“What can I say? You bring out the bad in me.” You’re proud of the fact that you’re still going toe to toe with him verbally. You never would have thought it possible with how he’d managed to turn your bones to jelly and your veins to fire.
“Can we take this a step further and graduate to full on ditching?” Eddie asks, his voice taking on a desperate breathless quality that has you preening even more. “Because if I don’t get you out of here right now, sweetheart, I’m gonna combust.”
“We wouldn’t want that, would we,” you say, giving his cock one final squeeze before dropping your arms to your side and leaning back against the wall. Smiling and giving him room to pull himself off of you.
Eddie steadies himself with his hands on the wall on either side of your head, trying to take a deep gulping breath. Your eyes gazing up at him are so big and glassy that he has to shut his tightly in response.
“You need to stop looking at me like that, sweetheart.”
Sweetheart. Another first.
“Why?” You ask, truly confused.
“Because it’ll be difficult to sneak out of here with my dick so hard it feels like it could fall off.” He replies, squinting his eyes open with a smile that’s more of a pained cringe.

Hello, could i request smth along these lines - person A does relationship type things with person B, but person B thinks they’re just flirting whereas person A thinks they’re actually in a relationship/dating? Just some cute fluffy misunderstanding stuff with eddie pls.
I love this
So Y/N believes they are dating and Eddie has no clue

"for you, handsome" Y/N said as she kissed Eddie's cheek, planting down a new comic from the bookstore she worked at. He smiled up from his seat in the lunchroom.
"Sick! The newest addition" Eddie beamed amazed, "thank you sweets" pecking her cheek as he dug into the new comic.
She smiled and skipped away. Walking to Chrissy as they linked arms.
"you guys are so cute together" Chrissy giggled
"I know!"
~~
"you guys are so cute together" Dustin smiled
"who?" Eddie asked, not looking up from his comic
"you and your girlfriend duh" Dustin chuckled, shaking his head as he tried to look at the comic
"girlfriend? Y/N? No way. She's just a friend" Eddie denied.
~~
"here baby" Eddie said as he wrapped the blanket around Y/N, noticing she was shivering. She smiled and cuddled closer to him. Sitting underneath his arm as they watched a movie.
"how long have they been together?" Robin whispered to Steve
"depends who you ask. To her, about three weeks. To him, they aren't even dating" Steve shrugged. Throwing popcorn in his mouth as the movie played.
~~
"so I'm thinking we should do red?" Y/N said as she looked through the prom magazines. Eddie holding her in place as she sat on his lap.
He hummed over her shoulder, "red is nice" he agreed
"but do you want to wear red?" She asked, looking over her shoulder to read his expression
"I'll wear whatever color you want baby" he smiled, kissing her cheek as he squeezed her hips
"red it is, we can go shopping for a tie tomorrow. Now time to pick out my dress!" She said, looking and circling her favorites
"HEY EDDIE NEED TO STEAL YOUR GIRL FAST" Robin yelled
Y/N's head snapped up as Robin walked across the library
"see ya soon!" Y/N said as she scooped up her magazine and met Robin half way.
"prom? Matching?" Robin teased
"hey he's my boyfriend, he gets to match my dress!"
~~
"prom? Matching?" Gareth teased as he sat at the table. Being easily ignored by the two who were smitten with each other
"she's my best friend and she wants to match" Eddie shrugged
No doubt his stomach did flips when she asked to match her dress to his tie
"mhhm best friend" Gareth mocked, wiggling his eyebrows
~~
"so Steve wants us to join his date because he's terrified of the girl so we need to dress nice" Y/N said as she dug through Eddie's closet. Searching for a button up, plain shirt or even a flannel
"why is he going on a date with her if he's so scared?" Eddie questioned, watching as she yanked through his clothes.
"because he was too scared to tell her no" she laughed. Cheering as she found a plain white shirt
"okay baby. Throw this on with your red flannel and your black jeans, no holes!" She added as she threw the clothes at him.
Holding hands as they walked into the restaurant, easily finding a terrified looking Steve, pressing himself as far away from the girl as he could.
"hey my favorite couple is here!" Steve announced as Y/N and Eddie sat down.
Y/N laughed as Eddie gave him a confused look
But Y/N took control of the conversation in seconds.
~~
"how did you guys meet?" The girl asked, her hands moving along Steve's chest
"math class" Eddie answered as he dug into Y/N's plate of fries. Smiling as she slid the plate closer to him.
"how long before you knew you liked each other?"
Eddie gave her a weird look, about to ask her what the hell she meant when Y/N spoke first
"oh right away. I mean he's so handsome. Plus he's so funny. He's sweet and nice. I had a crush on him right away but it took us around six months before we ever made it anywhere"
Eddie was taken back by her answer
She liked him?
Made it anywhere?
Where the hell are they?
"that's so adorable. You guys seem to fit together really well" Y/N smiled at the compliment
Eddie was still confused
"oh yeah. These two are going to make it far. They are even matching at prom! Let's talk about that!" Steve said fast, dying to keep the topic on them
~~
Eddie listened as she answered every question about their "relationship", one he didn't even know they had.
He thought about how to ask her about it as he dropped her off. Standing at her door.
"I have something to ask you and I don't want it to upset you" He said, watching as she anxiously looked at him.
"what's up?"
"why did ... How come....why did you answer all of those questions about us being a couple?" He spit out
She laughed, "because she was asking" she didn't quite understand why he was asking that.
"but like....we aren't a couple" he said confused, watching as her laughter died down and turned into a frown
"oh..um what?" She said, shaking her head as she tried to understand
"we aren't together" he said again
Now both staring at each other confused
"wait we aren't? I've been calling you my boyfriend for like two months? Oh my god. I'm so sorry. " She apologized. Now she just felt like an idiot. Walking around and claiming they were in a relationship. They weren't even close to being on the same page
"wait no. Don't be sorry. I want to be with you. I want to be your boyfriend. I just didn't know we were already there. I thought we were just flirting and chasing. But I definitely would rather be official. " he explained
"we already suck at communicating" she laughed, enjoying the way he laughed with her
"okay as of right now, we are officially together!" He declared. Holding his right hand up
"officially together" she agreed. Holding up her right hand.
"can I kiss you then?" He asked, stepping closer to her
She nodded with a small smile.
Watching as he moved closer to her lips, bumping her nose softly as he connected their lips.
It was soft, slow and warm. Many months leading up to the emotions in this one kiss. And the many that came after.
