🏨 Spent our night in the ER 🤢 @amazing_chloe_grace has been sick for a few days & her breathing became very labored - she could barely say two words without losing her breath & coughing causing me to freak out + head out to our neighborhood hospital STAT . 🔬After tests & x-rays we were sent home with a Covid-free result + clear lungs. Chloe is still exhausted & coughing but the relief of knowing she is OK is making this momma breath a little easier 😊 . 🤯 After the week I've had a mocktail is sooooo needed!!! . Today marks 2 months AF but I will confess that yesterday it was tough, for about 20 minutes, to breath and let the idea of a cold, yummy IPA 🍺 leave my mind . See, I found out this week that @amazing_chloe_grace has been being bullied at school for MONTHS. To keep it brief, at least FOUR children , age SEVEN, have been harassing her almost the entire school year and this week she broke down to me . Absorbing, digesting & responding to this heartbreaking news has been stressful + exhausting. Yesterday I began discussions with her school...and that's when my brain said "girl, you need a drink!!!" . I took a few moments to simply imagine the cold glass filled with a frothy brew - the sweat beads, the deep amber color, the smell...then I tapped into the feeling of letting go of the stress. And that's what I did - without taking a single sip . Proud to say I survived the moment and even prouder of my little girl for stepping up & confronting her bullies by reaching out and asking for help.
