I’ve been playing around with my “Stone Fruit Season” zine, which will be a small collection of love poems. I keep feeling stuck, and then coming back to this project but it feels like it might be coming together.

I made some holiday cards! https://www.etsy.com/shop/lorettark
Image description: a holiday card with a painting on the front. The painting depicts a chicken standing on a table next to juice, pączki (Polish donut), and pickles. There are two greeting variations; one reads, “Wesołych Świąt” and the other reads, “'Tis the Season for Eating”.

The baby birds are finished! I've had this idea in my head for a while but finally got to try it thanks to being gifted a saw. I'm a saw person now! Very fun.

Image description: a painting of two witches embracing and smooching. The witches have bright green skin and lavender-coloured hair. One of the witches is wearing a hat, the other has a hat hanging behind their head. One of the witches is holding a bouquet of violets behind the other's back. They are surrounded by a murky olive-coloured knight sky. There is a crescent moon above them.

I’ve been painting some little face studies, using references from pinterest. I usually don’t share much sketchbook stuff because I try to keep it as a safe space that allows for bad art but I like how these turned out. Aside from the obvious benefits that come with general practice, I feel like it’s been helping me figure out my own short cuts for painting facial features. Also, if you ever feel like you’ve wasted a sketchbook page with some vague pencil lines, I recommend painting over the whole thing. Have you ever tried that?

Hello! I've been working on this seasonal poster for a while now and I feel a little nervous to put it out into the world but here goes. I've often wondered when certain fruits or vegetables are in season and wanted a visual guide for my own reference. I hope other people will find it useful too! . I'm going to have this printed and offer it as a fundraiser soon. I'm still figuring out the specifics of this but I'll keep you posted. Thanks for looking! 🍅🍍🍇🍌🍑🍆 https://www.instagram.com/p/CENiZVvjjT3/?igshid=scqohhxsskyd
