Strong arms slipped around the lady's waist, a contented sigh escaping her husband as he nestled his face into her pale neck, holding her tightly.
"What troubles you, my love?"
Galadriel paced the balcony, struggling to contain her restlessness behind a more stoic composure. Even the beauty of the gardens below did not stir her her from her thoughts, as they were often wont to do. She yearned for Celeborn’s presence, hoping for a distraction until the evening council that she still dreaded.

She rolled her eyes and poked him playfully. "You know how I feel about being called -cute-."
"And you know how I feel about you being so adorable."

"'Even that'...?" She pulls away, affecting a pout. "Is that how you feel?"
“I absolutely adore it, my love.” He grinned, kissing her pouted lips adoringly.
“You are so cute when you do that.”

She smirks as she kisses down his throat. "I did try to say what I thought, that is certain. Though, it did result in... -someone-... blushing, I do recall."
The Sinda's smile grew at her words, and his slim fingers moved to tangle into her vibrant hair.
"I had never heard an elleth speak in such a way, dear- not even Queen Melian was so outspoken. I soon fell in love with even that aspect of you, of course."

She presses her lips lightly against his neck. "And what is it that I wouldn't think, Cele?"
"You were nearly as hard to understand as you thought, my Alatariel."

She returned the kiss and slid her fingers back up to trace around his ear. "Mmm, is that so? What makes you think that, hir nin?"
"I understood you better at that first meeting than you think, my dear." He smiled, brushing a strand of radiant hair from her fair face.

Nodding slightly, she traces her fingers down his neck and across his shoulders. "For your sake, if nothing else, I wish them gone. I have never wanted to see someone as happy as I wish you." She smiles wryly. "I daresay you have begun to tame me, Celeborn of Lorien."
He laughed, pressing a kiss to her lips quickly.
"Alatariel, you have not changed as much as you seem to think- you had a large heart when we met, you just did not realize it at the time."

She brushes her thumb lightly against his lips. "I would that I could hide my troubles better, then, hir nin."
"I wish not for you to hide them from me, Alatariel, I merely wish you did not have them at all."

You have been grave of late, meleth nin. I do not like to see you thus... *gently strokes his cheek*
He sighs, pressing a tender kiss to her pale hand.
"I cannot help but be grave when I must watch you be so troubled, my love."

Pull yourself together, Thranduil, you're the one who chose to drink so much

"I am here, my love." The Sinda murmured, brushing a strand of golden-silver hair behind her pointed ear, resting his forehead against hers.
It has been long indeed since I have felt restless in the Last Homely House. I wonder where my lord and husband is…
