Can someone tell me why there is STILL vocaloid age discourse it’s getting so tiring. And I’m not talking about people who are new vocaloid, I’m talking about people who are rude to artists and try to push accusations on said artists just because they don’t understand vocaloid. It’s 2024 guys this should not still be an issue 😭😭😭

( of course there are exceptions like with kai yuki and Oliver who are voiced by children so it’s NOT ok to sexualize them, but I’m mostly talking about miku and Rin since that’s were I’ve seen the most discourse)

This was me trying to find the best way to draw Benny’s eyes without them looking out of place.

Redesigned Sam’s friends again!

Ok so in the last designs I think they looked to bland? I wasn’t even satisfied with them at time. I’m a lot happier with this one. I still don’t have names for them so if you wanna request a name you can. These designs are mostly just tweaks but I still I think they make a difference. I’m prob gonna do this with Sam’s design in the future. That’s pretty much it hope you like them!

Lillian and Benny are so underrated. They are some of the most interesting characters in my opinion but they often get overlooked and pushed to the side. I would say the same about Caleb but he’s relatively popular and well liked so yeah. Idk just wanted to put this out there. I COULD make a whole essay on why I think this but I’m already working on one for another topic and that’s already taking too long.

I know a pretty common criticism of wick is that it’s story is to ambiguous and that you have to actively look for clues to piece together the story. But that’s pretty much every survival horror game ever? And in general horror media. It IS a valid criticism just because it’s common doesn’t mean it’s always a good method of storytelling. But personally I love what wick does with ambiguous storytelling. Mostly the fact that in universe the weavers are a mystery as well. The story is being told while in universe it hasn’t even been solved yet and is perceived as an urban legend. I know that other media does this to but wick just sticks out to me in a way. People in universe are actively trying to solve the story as well so it gives this unique perspective ,like instead of looking into a case objectively your limited to a detective’s subjective notes on said case. If that makes any sense. We can see how Duncan and Travis view the weavers and what could’ve happened in the notebook pages. I also like how the items give us voice lines and clues to what could’ve happened I just wish there was more.

Then again I could just be reading to much into this funky little game lol.

Ok so this may be just a me thing but I don’t get making Benny religious after death? It’s a pretty popular headcanon but I just don’t get it. I mean it has a lot of potential from a writing standpoint but it’s never really touched upon the complex relationship Benny could have with religion. Maybe it’s just me but he seemed to be following religion out of fear more than actually believing. After he died maybe he had an existential crisis idk. This is no shade to the people who have this headcanon btw! I myself just don’t get it. Out of curiosity if you have this headcanon for Benny why exactly? I’m not trying to start an argument btw I genuinely would like to know why it’s a popular headcanon.
